A New Movement Website That Might Not Even Be A Good Idea

Some of us got back from Tampa and having met a lot of you terrific young people, we saw a need. It was clear to us that many of you have only known Ron Paul for activism. Like your whole activist life has been about the Ron Paul thing, and for a young person 8 years is a long time so it's like you grew up in it.

And we're hearing you ask the question again and again, where the heck do we go from here and how do we get there?

WWW.AFTERPAUL.COM is a partial answer. Or hopefully a portal to some answers. And it will hopefully do two things:

1. Feature some groups and individuals who were active before this "GOP experiment" and who continue to provide leadership today.

2. Allow new "youth leadership" to identify itself and present it's case, hopefully get some buy-in. Gain some attention.

And it's intended to be grassroots and as fringy as you wanna make it. Maybe it's a place where we can reflect for a while and rest up. And before anybody pipes up and says we're dissing Ron Paul, well we're not. It's kinda like Ron Paul is dad but dad just took the training wheels off and now we're riding the bike. I guess we could have called it dadTookTheTrainingWheelsOff.com but that's really long eh?

Anyways right now it's just a Wordpress site with a simple forum attached skinned by a stolen (free) template so have at it! Do pretty much whatever you want with it as long as it's about moving forward in a positive and constructive manner. If you feel your topic didn't get the best reception here on the DP, try it over there. There's some groups and individuals who kinda got left out in the cold with this RP phase and we'd like to see them brought back into the community. Community. Yeah. We'd like to further explore this concept of community too.

The wind is shifting guys. The winds are gonna start blowing from whole new directions.
