They can't force my vote

Even if they remove all of the names on the ballot except Romney and Obama, I will not vote for either one of them.

This, even though they let the Democrats put their man's name on.

The election, of course, is of electors to the electoral college, not the candidate, themselves.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

I think they want to keep us talking about this stupid crap.

They want as many votes for President as they can get.

Right now not many will bother voting. I will not give them their desired Presidential mandate.

If know one shows it will expose the corruption of the Party system.

Right know we know the RNC is bought and paid for and not by the grassroots.

The DNC has been long ago paid for.

If it weren't for matching Federal matching funds the whole corrupt system would collapse.

I think the GOP insiders are shock troops

clearing the way for an Obama victory. They do his dirty work and I'm sure will be well rewarded by the victorious "good cop" gang.

I think the hate MR. They are scared of BO

On the other team it is much the same but reversed.

Free includes debt-free!

So stupid!!

The ineptitude of the GOP strategy (if you can even call it that) is mind-blowing!

Just two points are necessary:
1) Ron Paul supporters are not going to vote for Romney, even if it is just Obama and Romney on the ballot. They lost any chance to get the Paul supporters into their camp by crapping all over them at the RNC in Tampa (wow, who would have thought!?!? lol).
2) Since they have already irrevocably lost the support of Ron Paul supporters, they might as well encourage Johnson's candidacy, as he stands to pull more from Obama than from Romney.

This proves they're afraid

As someone said below it's not that they are afraid GJ could win, it's that it could be such a close election (largely because of what an awful candidate flipflop Mitt is) that a few percent in key states could make all the difference.

Yes they would blame the liberty movement, especially if a good chunk of the votes go to Ron Paul write-ins in states that report write-ins because then the message is crystal clear.

But why do people talk about us being blamed as if that's a bad thing?

The RNC and Mitt can't blame the liberty movement for their loss without (a) shining a light on the corruption that created the disgust that is the cause of that loss, and (b) admitting that we are collectively a significant force in elections that they cannot afford to ignore. Both of those are very very good things. We shouldn't be running from those, we should be doing everything we can to make it happen.

To say Ron Paul could beat Obama is a half-truth

It would be more correct to say that Obama could not beat Ron Paul.

Don't use the term 3rd party. It is defeatist. It communicates that you expect the candidate to come in 3rd, (at best). It would be better to say 'non-duopoly', or some other appropriate non-defeatest term.

Romney is soooo stupid...

Johnson is more of the threat to Obama; polls show he is pulling youth away from Obama. How dumb can the GOP be.

Blaming the GOP is not the truth.

Most people in the GOP have no clue this is happening, nor do they care. It's the same 10 fat cats and their dirty rats doing this, and what gets me, that disinformation posts/vids like this wind up working to the bennifit of those 10 fat cats and the dirty rats that work for them because it is created to do exactly what the ten fat cats want, for you to turn away from the GOP. The fewer people in the GOP, the more concentraited the power is for those 10 fat cats and the dirty rats.

GJ didn't have a chance to win this election from the moment he started, and I believe he knew that, just ask Ralph Nader and his four attempts, with dozens of law suits in multable states designed to bankrupt the campaign and fix the loop holes that could allow a non established major party candidate to ballot access. Why is it RP KNOWS this is what those 10 fat would do and one reason why he chose to stay in the GOP but GJ didn't? Or is it, GJ is finishing what Ralph Nader started, helping those 10 fat cats fix the loop holes? Ralph Nader never belonged to a political party. GJ is a Republican wearing a LP pin, for this election.

Here on DP we discussed, and were warned, about Americans Elect, that if you were working to become a delegate, the GOP has the right to eliminate you from the loyalty oath you have to sign. Did GJ think that didn't apply to him??

Not too long ago the DP was a place where TRUTH was something aspired, and we debated, for it was ok to be wrong as long as you were willing to face the truth when it was prooved. This seems no longer the case. Now we have propeganda and it's against the party Ron Paul asked us to join. ASKED us to join, and many of us are now in the GOP. So this kind of attack on the GOP ignors the Ron Paul Republicans and includes them in the blame game.

What kind of Liberty movement is that? Blah blah blah Ron Paul $$$.

Ron Paul is a Republican. WAKE UP~!

Blaming the rank and file of the GOP is apt...

..because "Most people in the GOP have no clue this is happening, nor do they care." And if they are never called to account and made to pay for their indifference and willful ignorance they will never have a reason to care.

Right

And I want to hold their tentacles to the fire until they leave.

They want to eliminate him from the ballot

so when they steal the election it looks legit...Kinda hard to rig the election and make it look legit when a third party that will pull in Paul votes is in the mix...Its all about illusion with these scoundrels...

"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
Samuel Adams

I think they want to eliminate his possibility of debating on a

national stage because whether it was Ron or Gary up there it would be harder for the networks to ignore them with only three people on the stage in front of the public. Remember these debates are watched by a lot more people compared to the primary debates.

Plus either Gary or Ron would wipe up the stage with Mitt and Barack. With only Mitt and Barack up there they can script the entire thing like a Hollywood production, add another and it changes the entire scenario.

What, they think that after illicitly keeping Ron Paul off,

if they manage to do that to Gary Johnson, as well, we'll just throw up our hands and say, "Oh well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!" I don't think so. Rather, it's giving me the idea to host a nice "I'd rather not vote than vote for Obamney" dinner.

They are trying to remove Gary Johnson from the ballot

Why? For the same reason they stopped Ron Paul from being the Republican Candidate...because he may have won the election. They want us to have two choices only...evil or evil and some of you help them by bickering over one or two statements possibly made by Gary Johnson. The PTB are doing the same thing to Todd Akin in Missouri because he is Libertarian leaning and has a great voting record as does Gary Johnson. Fools that some of you are, keep on bickering and falling for the hacks that come on Daily Paul and Evil will prevail and we will all have you to blame when our country is a fascist state. I'm sick of it and I'm voting for Gary Johnson.

Our country is ALREADY

Our country is ALREADY fascist, corporate fascism. All you have to do is turn on a radio or a TV and it's all there for you to see and hear. Compromise is how we got here.

Right on, well said

All the whiners that are waiting for the Perfect Immaculate Conception Candidate Floating Down on the Shining Cloud from Heaven can keep holding their breath, turn blue and die for all I care.

Get a clue

They will have to remove every third party candidate.

That is terrible and unfair! If they knock him off, there are more candidates to choose. As long as people vote third party, it does not matter. They will not be able to get every one of them off the ballots!

Those in positions of power

need to make efforts to remove Romney off the ballot and use resources for character assassination on him.

Mr. Larson should know why they don't want GJ on the ballot...

It isn't because they are afraid he will win as Mr. Larson suggests - it is because it will be a close election where 1-2% will make a difference.

And mark my words - if Romney loses and THEY blame Gary Johnson - they will also be blaming RON PAUL.

I know that would be BS - but we aren't the ones they will be convincing - they will convince millions of GOP snoozers that Gary Johnson and Ron Paul gave you 4 more years of Obama. It will give us another hurdle to overcome.

They still portray Nader as giving Bush the Whitehouse over Al Gore. Still!

Do you

Care about blame or do you care about the end of this country as we knew it? If you don't vote your conscience then nothing matters.

I will be voting my conscience

I see people begging me to compromise and settle for Johnson so 'he gets into the debates' - and 'so the Libertarian party can get matching funds in '16' - and 'to teach the GOP a lesson' - and 'because it is good for the movement' - 'because we'll get some of what we want'

I will be voting my conscience and it has nothing to do with Gary Johnson. Yes - people should vote their conscience. I object to the mammoth Gary Johnson push lately. I personally don't think it is good for the movement.

If it was such a good move - Ron Paul would have endorsed. He has endorsed before. Not that I take orders from him - but I do consider him the leader of our movement and I would trust his judgment. And don't say 'Ron said to take a good look at Johnson' is an endorsement - it isn't. I've looked and thought about it.

Parties don't care about blame, they care about power

The lesson the RNC will learn is that they cannot afford to disenfranchise the Liberty Movement.

If you hate the way Ron was treated in Tampa, the worst thing you can do is vote for Romney and thereby endorse that treatment.

? Of course they play blame games...

Nader was blamed for Al Gore's loss.
Perot was blamed for Bush losing (which is what Perot was after I believe)

Did the GOP change after Perot towards his views?

Yes they changed

Republicans changed their rhetoric after Perot. As a result a majority of states elected Republican Governors and took over majority control of both houses of Congress between 1992 and 1996. "Contract with America" anyone? Retired Congressman Ron Paul was so convinced Republicans had learned their lesson and were serious about changing their ways, that he decided to return to Congress in 1996.

I know Newt Gingrich is the one credited as the "architect" or "mastermind" of the "Republican Revolution" in the mid 90's. Maybe so. But Ross Perot, his 1992 election results, was the motivator.

And Nader did give the Presidency to Bush over Gore.

Bush won with a single electoral vote - determined by Florida where Bush won by less than 600 votes.

If 600 people in Florida who voted for Nader had voted for Al Gore instead - Al Gore would have wone the Presidency.
