ALL SCHOOLS rec'g federal funds must observe Constitution Day

September 17 Constitution Day - It's the law! That's thanks to Senator Byrd as of 2004. Some activities from:

- New York Times http://www.nytimes.com/ref/college/collegespecial2/coll-cons...

You might want to call your local paper and ask if they are covering events at local schools and colleges, reminding them it's a federal law. You might want to call your local school district and ask if the local paper is covering their events, reminding them it's the law if they receive any federal funding. (They do!) Patrick Henry was not so exuberant

He had much to say about the demise of liberty upon ratification of the constitution. That being said, the US constitution has allowed for a stable form of government However, I wonder if the people have been fiddling while our liberty has been riddled.

If you want another good read, you might note in that P. Henry link that he says:

3.16 “How does your trial by jury stand? In civil cases gone—not sufficiently secured in criminal—this best privilege is gone. But we are told that we need not fear; because those in power, being our representatives, will not abuse the power we put in their hands.”

Perhaps it is time to find out just what Trial by Jury is supposed to be:
