I think Alex Jones is

I think Alex Jones is absolutely brilliant when he describes the intricate nuance of how the establishment operates and manipulates. Especially as he hones in on psycological aspects. I think he is actually a genius in his ability to describe the psycology behind the things he observes.

Then alongside that he latches onto a bunch of out-there issues that I doubt have much reality to them. But, when he isn't talking about some pet issue his team "discovered" and is just talking in broader terms about politics, I think he is great...all off the top of his head too.

Oh, wow! Alex sure was an idiot, he's gotten more sophisticated

Is it possible he is an asset, mixing just enough disinformation into any truth he reports so that he discredits the very things he reports on?

I've never really trusted him much, but that broadcast from Alex was absolutely absurd and makes me question just where he's really coming from.

Adam Kokesh used words that were too strong ?

On the contrary, not strong enough, IMO. I still cannot get my head around this entire situation. When I try to, I get very upset.

If this level of corruption permeates throughout the entire political scheme to even the Ron Paul campaign, then there is no hope of ever achieving success.

Between Kokesh and Benton...

...are the REAL grassroots. They are the silent majority and you don't see a lot from them on the DP.

They are the 20,000 life-long, suit-and-tie wearing Republicans who have been battling for liberty in and through the Republican party for many years, who became state delegates and slogged their way all the way through the process without complaining.

They are highly educated, high-earning professionals with more to give than a sign wave and who care about more than legalization.

THESE are the real grassroots of this campaign, not the wild hair libertarians like Kokesh or those who pray to Kokesh. Both Kokesh and his worshippers forget these people who carried the majority of the burden of the campaign.

And yet these same REAL grassroots were also terribly ignored by Benton and the campaign as well.

Well said.

Well said.

Suit and tie wearing

Suit and tie wearing Republicans will always be a minority until you recognize that there are others attractable to the liberty movement who arrive here from other perspectives.

Kokesh has always to me appeared to be a solid libertarian. I'm one too, but I arrived here from the D side many years ago and I still cringe when having to spend more than a minute or two in the presence of a neocon or religious right fanatic.

Everybody in this movement needs to learn from the master, Ron Paul. Don't attack the messenger, attack the message, and realize that YOUR perspective is not the only one.

Welcome to the liberty movement EVERYONE who supports libertarian principles.

FR a friendly challenge to you for the next month. Craft all of

your posts and comments without the use of Any labels. If that is impossible, try to write without using any previously known/common labels.

You say you see yourself as a "libertarian". Are libertarians collectivists? Aren't labels collectivist; collectivist thought.

Please take up my challenge, you may find it to be personally beneficial.

Guess Christians

like myself are not allowed. Soon merely believing in the possibility of a deity will be a 'right wing religious fanatic'. Homeland Security hates us just as much as you hate us. You should join Homeland Security in their concern for 'right wing religious fanatics'. I hate empty terms like that. It is sort of like when Benton called the P.A.U.L people 'fringe' or when he media calls people 'conspiracy theorists'.

All my time studying God's word and praying means you would hate my company. After all, you must be much smarter than I am.

You say you cringe when you hear a 'neocon' yet the Democratic Party is full of 'neocons' look at Woodrow Wilson or Obama. Neocons are progressives. D and R is Progressive Left vs Progressive Right, you lose the state wins.

The liberty movement is exclusionary. Guess I will sit over here with my dunce hat since I go to Church.

Agreed. Kokesh has become little more than entertainment

While many of his points seem like valid complaints, most of them are not helpful overall and are merely nothing more than speculative complaints. And he shows an almost embarrassingly strong tendency to judge someone like Ron Paul, who far exceeds any of Kokesh's accomplishments, blindly without all the information and from the outside. He has no clue what Ron Paul is really up against, nor what Ron Paul is basing his decisions upon.

Kokesh is becoming a bitter antagonist focused on controversy, moving further and further away from the great activist he originally started as. Much of it is probably a result of him losing his own election, losing his TV show, and losing hope.

The real grassroots are working at taking charge...

The anonymous cowardly downvotes here...

...only prove my point as being accurate even more.

I agree with you

+

Both here and your first comment.

We will get our LIBERTY back despite the judas goats and the morons that follow them. The vast majority of those morons would be useless whether they were following judas goats or not. Many are just here for the beer. Kids trying to find themselves-meaning, they will likely never.

P.S. I was gone for a while-Grown-up w/ grown-up responsibilities. As soon as I saw the new "scoring" system I went on a tear pushing for a change requiring any down vote to have a name attached. Not surprisingly, that effort was squelched.

Cowards indeed. If you down vote someone have the pair to identify yourself and state your reasons for the down vote.

We should not even be promoting democracy

As a way to judge discussions. And the vote system for doing such should be eliminated entirely.

The message the vote system sends is that superficial vote clicks and democracy are more important for valuing a discussion than discussion itself.

Agreed. Since the scoring system was instituted, people became

less likely to actually read and try to understand what was being communicated. No need. Just see which way the scoring wind was blowing and go with the in crowd. Sad.

That trend in communication, generally, over the years and decades has much to do with where we now find ourselves.

Agreed...

The voting system should be eliminated.

NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.

Time and time again

I find myself shocked by what Adam Kokesh says, but I haven't found myself in disagreement with him yet.

He's as honest as Tom Woods, as logical as Lew Rockwell, and as tactful and polite as....Jesse Ventura.

Despite his crudeness, I really like him.

And in this video, he criticized Ron Paul for the one thing I criticized him on in 2008. I sent a message with a campaign contribution telling him that he had better spend every last penny. Instead, there were millions left over, which went into C4L. The fact that there was so much money left over is what upset me. The fact that he put it into the C4L was actually very wise. This time around, it almost seemed like the same thing was happening.

But before anyone thinks I'm putting down Ron Paul, please know that I think he was other-worldly in his wisdom, intelligence, strength, and direction during the 2012 campaign. He has always known that converting the hearts and minds of the young people was much more important than winning cash contributions from the old bankers. That has been his focus, and by God, I am thrilled to see what he has accomplished among the young people!

Michael Nystrom's fists can punch through FUD.

well this is a great SOAP OPERA

doesn't this reveal the individualism that has flourished in the movement? some good, some bad. I think it's a result of Ron Paul's philosophy, he doesn't try to control people, control the "movement" or even control the campaign. I think we need to roll with the punches and realize that the ideas that Ron Paul has unleashed are the real Prize here. If not for Ron Paul I would know nothing about libertarian philosophy, austrian economics, the fake media, the Fed, penetrating what's really going on . .

Get over this Benton guy and continue to educate. He was never important to the liberty movement and never will be. These principles are bullet proof, mind expanding, very rewarding for anyone who gets turned on.

Adam Kokesh is bashing Ron Paul for reasons that are quite trivial. I like Adam, and he feels vindicated by the Benton scandal, but this movement is beyond this trivial nonsense, "he said, she said" bullshit. So good for Adam for being right on one level, but there is a much more important level to consider.

For people who feel like they want their money back from the campaign, how much does the average person pay for college? thousands and thousands of dollars. How much would you pay to learn everything that you've learned as a result of Ron Paul's campaigns? I don't think it's a bad deal at all. It wasn't perfectly spent by any means but I think we got a large return on our investment in terms of knowledge.

Kokesh was right all along...

Great message, Adam. A campaign that walks away from its best and brightest supporters (Woods, Kokesh, etc.) is a campaign betrayed.

Why, Dr. Paul, were you so passive that you allowed this crime to be perpetrated against you and your supporters?

Adam speaks what he believes...

And I believe what he speaks in this one..100%...I'm heart broke...And I gave 2500 on that last Campaign for Liberty money bomb...I got took like a mark in a 3 card monty game...At least I can own it and move on...

Bad food, worse weather, please rEVOLution the states so I can bring my family back home!
Rosa Koire for for President!

Don't feel bad, you're not the only one who got his clock

cleaned. Called on four people to give a total of 7K (embarrassing); myself, near max-out.

Just say to yourself:
* Santorum in the red, bailed out by Romney
* Gingrich stiffed everyone, hopelessly in debt
* Ron Paul, in the black

Forget Benton. You kept the doctor and his family from going into debt. That alone was worth your effort. And you paid for him to inspire some people. Just think of this.

Thanks buddy...

It didn't hurt my pocket, and after reading what you wrote....I do feel a bit better...man I have been stewing...Good on you bro...

Bad food, worse weather, please rEVOLution the states so I can bring my family back home!
Rosa Koire for for President!

You are not alone, brother...

Benton and company have got some bad Kharma coming their way. I wouldn't want to be them. How do they live with themselves?

I just don't know...

How they live with themselves...But I do my best to live a karmically clean life...I am sure you do too (or you wouldn't even know to bring it up)...Have a good evening buddy...

Bad food, worse weather, please rEVOLution the states so I can bring my family back home!
Rosa Koire for for President!

Jesse, get thee behind me Satan.

I agree with Adam on this. No more money leaving my hands for a bunch of wanna be socialites who are using by dollars to try to rub noses with people I believe are traitors. The Ole man needs to sit his son down and explain to him what he has done to his legacy. Benton is just a Judas, nothing more but absolutely nothing less.

Is the employer responsible for hiring a criminal?

Guns don't kill people...

Ron Paul coulda, woulda, shoulda.

Consider that even in his leaving C4L he managed to drop the failure in Ron's lap.

Here on DP, AJ and AK all caught that meme.

Stick the tale on the donkey. The blame game.

Where are we now? Nothing has changed, but there are more of us.

What Separates Us from the Neocons

Is our willingness and honesty at looking at a problem in the face and actually changing our strategy to reflect the reality.

We've learned a lot from this election cycle:

That there were wolves in our camp.
We saw to what lengths the RNC machine will go to squelch dissent. They showed their behinds from the county level all the way up to the big pow wow.
Our candidate was operating on a different wavelength as far as operating the campaign than many of us were envisioning.

I remember what Catherine Austin Fitts said, If you can face a problem, you can fix the problem.

How many sad sack Levin listeners are going to be befuddled when Mitt forces them into Romneycare, and find themselves shut out of the process once again?

What separates me from a Neocon

Is integrity, principle, faith and love for the constitution and LIBERTY.

I think we should sue Benton

I think we should sue Benton and use discovery to get the information we need.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

I had a hard time disagreeing

I had a hard time disagreeing with anything Kokesh said here. I'm so utterly frustrated but in a way I guess I'm glad the campaign is over. The campaign, ultimately, did a lot of damage to the movement.

We're the 10% of today that will become the 60% of tomorrow.
