Cyril's picture

Forgetfulness, noun.

Forgetfulness, noun.

A gift of God bestowed upon debtors in compensation for their destitution of conscience.

-- Ambrose Bierce; The Devil's Dictionary

"Cyril" pronounced "see real". I code stuff.

LOL

Was the Devil's Dictionary written by Him or only "inspired" by Him?

Agreed!

Hmm that's odd, after Ron

Hmm that's odd, after Ron paul signed the letter WITH Benton..

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

RPs letter was pretty tepid.

RPs letter was pretty tepid. It wasn't exactly overflowing with praise.

Rita Skeeter.

"Ron Paul is very upset."

This is just gossip. An emotional hook on the article.

That's what changes news reports into gossip columns.

Sent a note of encouragement to Dr. Paul

I cannot blame or condemn him for being blind to what a member of his own family has done to him. If he's upset, he needs our support even more than before. I hope more of us remember to comfort and support and encourage Dr. Paul right now.

How dumb are you

?

We don't even know if this is

We don't even know if this is true and you sent a note of encouragement? I am sure Dr Paul would be thrilled to get hundreds of notes of encouragement regarding something that is false.

Anyone ever notice how all

Anyone ever notice how all the rumors start on libertychat with no evidence and end up here? You used to have to site a source when posting on DP for people to be taken serious, now it seems like people will believe anything....

Ian Cioffi, Gigi Bowman,....

....and the rest of the many "promoters" for "Paul"fest are busy little bees, aren't they?
Notice how they swarm?
Heavens!

Can we now revisit the

Can we now revisit the Paulfestival and what Jesse Benton did to it (which can be seen on the Peter Schiff video where he reads the text out loud to Deborah Robinet -who ran Paulfesival). Jesse sabotaged it. I know this first hand.

Paulfestival is still out $27,000 for the fairgrounds payment.

Ron Paul and Mrs. Paul called Deborah Robinet and Bryan Siemon numerous times before the event asking what they could do and giving praise to the fact that it was being done. YET every time they hung up the phone nothing they said they would do ever happened --including speaking at the event!

Can you all connect the dots now?

Stop passing blame

Stop passing blame. Ron could have done anything he wanted. Paulfest was garbage because of the organizers period. Take some responsibility.

Don't say it was garbage.

I don't know what happened. But I have run events and this was a big undertaking that I'm sure had an abundant amount of stress. Obviously stuff didn't go right.

It seems a lot of stuff didn't go right for the Liberty movement over the last months. In essence, it imploded.

The delegates taking on the bad guys was motivating and was the peak of this campaign.

Isn't Free-Market Capitalism Great?

They took a gamble....they made a play-for-the-profits, using Dr Paul's name......they got egg on their face....

Life is tough.....Are you voting for Johnson?

A Vote for Johnson is a vote for Obama.

If there would have been profits,

where do you think it would have gone to?

When selling Ron Paul t-shirts (not paulfest related), the minimal profit went to paying for the vendor fees, parking, marketing supplies ...

The goal was to get the Ron Paul name in front of the people so we could draw an audience to talk to. Overall, it was break-even financially.

I am not sure how to take the view of profits from using Ron Paul's name as a bad thing if the spreading of the message through the activity was a success.

Blame game is a shame

Many of us in the rEVOLution were NOT interested. I think there were many things about P.A.U.L. Fest that were well done, and so it is a shame that those who contributed their labor and expertise were not rewarded, but the P.A.U.L Fest detracted from the BUSINESS those of us who joined the GOP, and had a mission to do in Tampa.

P.A.U.L. Fest was an oppotunistic venture, seeking to profit off Ron Paul. It's as if your motto could have been : Who needs the GOP when you have us FORCING Ron Paul and his campaign to do things our way.

Since things didn't go our way BLAME JESSE.

And none of what you are

And none of what you are saying is true.

So you go from blaming others

to calling those who share their perspective liars?

I'm sorry for YOUR loss, and for the loss of those who thought P.A.U.L. Fest was a good idea.

Yo can bash and blame Benton with ALL those who never joined the GOP FOR Ron Paul, didn't bother even trying to become delgates, or getting a central committee seats, but the fact remains, we are advancing IN THE GOP despite you.

We are not happy with what happened at the RNC, but now we are not alone as the GOP is coming around looking to us fro leadership. benton is IN, many of us are advancing and this is something you are not part of. So whose side are you on afterall?

PaulFest was a great idea.

Like Ron once said, 'music and young people'.

I think there were great things about it

And I have complimented what I saw on YouTubes, the grounds were well organized, and I think they did a great job in recruiting speakers and reaching out.

But I think there was way too much "opportunism" that they were depending on, that back fired because the convention is really serious business, and Ron Paul had his own event, his own plan, with the campaign that was reaching out to REPUBLICANS, so to invite people who are not Republicans to an event in an area where there was a national convention HURT those of us who "bit the bullet" joined the GOP, and worked hard trying to reshape the party.. it worked against us, not for us. It was a distraction. Had the event been NOW... it would probably do much better pulling people together because so many are hurt and need to heal, so Paul fest would have served a purpose and it would have been much better for the speackers, GJ especially.

I enjoy my committee, and sure, I wish there were more Ron Paul Republicans.. why wouldn't I? But, I'm also not going to force people to "bite the bullet". I understand not everyone is as open or brave as I am. I LOVE people, so it's not so hard on me, as it would be for those who don't LOVE people, but love some people and fear most.

I am sorry Paulfest was not a smashing success. I am also sorry to see them attack and blame Jesse Benton. I think this idea of carrying Ron Paul's message outside the GOP is not understanding Ron Paul, or trusting him, or simply prooving they are more under the influence of MSM than Ron Paul.

I think

they had to possibly salvage the event. Only speculation, but I have experienced when an event of ours hit snags and you have to make some moves.

had the event been planned for right now

It would have been a MAJOR success.

I think that Ron had a brilliant plan.

Become the GOP and speak for liberty if you believe the message.

Benton turned the plan into 'change the GOP', making this a battle of wills.

Listen Dear Granger, go hug a tree. I am serious. I like your photo inset. I have a tree near hear that was an acorn during the American revolution or before.

Sit by its feet. In an electrical sense, as Tesla has shown one comes to same electrical potential as the tree. The tree is grounded deep into the earth. There are electrical stresses around us every day from cosmic winds and power lines. Finding a a good ground relieves one stress.

We are bio-electrical beings. Who enjoy self building towers that make tiny seeds that are potentially a new tower in waiting.

Why did they choose a "Liberty Tree" ?

Free includes debt-free!

Benton did an excellent job.

Many here talk about the PTB and then fail to apply that to what Benton was up against.

The tree in my picture is named Coexistance, she is an old growth coastal redwood that was cut down around the time of the civil war. Being they left the stump, which had a burl, she is now two second growth coastal redwoods. When she was developing a tan oak acorn began it's new life, and redwood actually embraced her, braiding each others trunks, so the tan oak is wrapped around the old growth trunk and the trees. The North side is dressed in mosses and ferns, the East side has a crown of huckleberry, the South side, which you see in the picture has the branches of the oak reaching like a hand to heaven with the massive burl about 2' in diameter and 1' thick reaching to the Earth, and the West side has a hollow, like a cave, where I go to meditate. I find action relieves stress for me, like mowing the lawn, cleaning the coop, weed wacking.. riding my bike along the headlands,, swamping, chopping wood...

I think the best person to answer the question about the Liberty Tree is Quiltingsando. LIBERTAS PERPETUA

I agree Benton did an excellent job.

He disrupted and diverted the grassroots. Many of the trolls here were his people.

He did a great job and now Mitch hired him to turn or destroy the Kentucky grassroots.

Free includes debt-free!

If all you are is grassroots

you've got a very short politial life. Now if that's what YOU want. Good for you! But for many of us grew from grassroots into a Liberty Tree and we are happy and intend to keep growing our tree. So you enjoy your grass and we'll enjoy our tree.

Personally, I've been grassroots for long long it turned brown and I'm happy to have a seat.

"Yo can bash and blame Benton

"Yo can bash and blame Benton with ALL those who never joined the GOP FOR Ron Paul, didn't bother even trying to become delgates, or getting a central committee seats, but the fact remains, we are advancing IN THE GOP despite you."

Are you pulling all of this out of your ass perhaps?

No

I'll pull one out of my ass for you to see the difference.

The Liberty Movement is AGAINST Ron Paul RepubliCANs and works to undermind the work Ron Paul, Jesse Benton, John Tate, Rand Paul and all those who working with the campaign have achieved, even claiming our advancements in the GOP are sell outs.

That's how I feel about it, and since I don't trust feelings, and have few facts being I am in the Ron Paul rEVOLution in the RepubliCAN Party, and not a non-Republican in the Liberty Movement, it just seems like it (translation, pulling it out of my ass for you).. Liberty Movement really means, "Liberty from Ron Paul rEVOLution".

Voting for GJ this election? You're not bound by any by-laws on a committee.. not like you bothered becomming a Ron Paul delegate, eh?

Your committee seat? Granger

Your committee seat? Granger you can't get your argument right. Just a few weeks ago you used the neocon argument that a "vote for Johnson is a vote for Obama." Which is it? Why not just promote Romney openly and proudly? Quit playing games.
