Stop reading so much into handshakes

I've had my fair share of awkward handshakes in my life. I've lived around the world & in Hawaii we shake hands completely different than the mainland. This leads to many awkward handshakes when I meet new people depending on which island or state people are from. Even hugs can be awkward if the person you're hugging isn't used to greeting people like that. The sooner you stop critiquing off-the-cuff handshakes, the better for your mental health.
