IS THIS A MARKETING PLOY?

By the big soft drink companies?

You've got to wonder if they are actually selling MORE because of this?

Boycott Coke & Pepsi. IMO they're s hitty and toxic anyway.

absolutely one of the most

absolutely one of the most disturbing, disgusting things I've heard in awhile. Come on people, you can't let an idiot rule you.

"and the truth shall make you free"
John 8:32

What's next, are they going

What's next, are they going to ban all you can eat buffets too?
Why don't the people of New York get together and vote these idiots out of office. In the meantime why don't the restaurants sell two 16oz drinks for the same price that a 32 oz used to cost.

Pretty soon, it'll be....

At this rate, pretty soon they'll be regulating what/when we eat, what we do, etc. Hmmm...sounds an awful lot like a prison. It's time we put an end to this!

First they came for

the gay baths(Dinky), then for the porn shops(Ghouliani) then for tobacco and sugar(Gaulieter Bloomberg)... Everyone here should be able to recognize this sort of sequence. Something or someone marginal is used as a test case, the principle is conceded, and a new government power is legitimized because people fail to realize how it may affect them until too late. This train left the station to cheers 25 years ago when the city seized the power to "protect" gay men from themselves.

And New Yorkers let him get away with this.

Yep

And can you even believe that people go about attempting to "rationally discuss" the question? It's cause the premise is not even started from a point of logic. It starts in the middle and the foundational principals are ignored.

Re NYC large drink ban

That's exactly what I was thinking, watching those people actually discussing it. It was frustrating to watch. Nice post.

Wow

Think of the impact it would have if you served a 17oz sugary lem-n'-ade in a lemonaid stand in a "styraphoam" cup.....
