Meanwhile...the Liberty Movement falls apart.

As I have been noticing for quite a while, the Liberty movement has been saping away its own strength away, and the infighting has become more and more prevelent. With the 2012 Presidential campaign ending for the movement, it all seems to be falling apart. Why are we forgeting the ties that bind us? Dr. Paul has said all along that this was a long term movement, and because of that, we need to hold it together. Im not saying that we wont have disagreements, however we cannot let these undo all the hard work and success that we have accomplished. Issues about Jesse Benton, Rand Paul, the Republican branch of our movement, and differing strategies, can be worked out, but lets not let them take precidence over our main goal, furthering the cause of Liberty. Also, we really shouldnt be kicking people out of the movement on differing opinions, are we not the movement working to let free speech, independence, and self-expression be unhindered? Differing and dissenting voices will only strengthen the movement, as long as we dont forget our goals, and practice the principles for which we stand. Lets continue the Revolution with all the effort that we did at the height of Dr. Paul's presidential campaign, and lets support each other like a family, for we are a family, and we all have different parts to play! For Liberty!!!

Nice post. Nice

Nice post. Nice sentiment.

Let's keep the main thing the main thing. It's all about liberty.

I must be willing to give up what I am in order to become what I will be. Albert Einstein

I can't wait for November

I can't wait for November to come so this legalizeliberty GJ BS can go.

I think more and more Liberty minded people

are coming to the conclusion that unless you are willing to behave like a criminal there is no place for you in politics today.

Liberty Lovers are peaceful, moral, ethical, and want to work with our fellow man to find solutions to complex social problems without ALWAYS having a gun in the room.

As far as I can tell, other than libertarians and constitutional republicans...you can't become a part of a political group that does not use coercion and violence to further their agendas.

It seems to be a constant battle between the Democrats and the Republicans as to which party gets to be in control of the legal monopoly on violence. ...and the monopoly on printing counterfit money.

Not true.

Falling apart no, regrouping.

A period of adjustment

Going from a political campaign mode with all of it's excitement and adrenaline, to the realization that this is a life long mission is a difficult adjustment psychologically.

But once you have understood the principles and possibilities of liberty, you cannot go back to sleep. Even those who say "that's it!", or "good bye all"... will continue in their own way to spread the principles of liberty to those around them simply by the way the live, the conversations they have and the choices they make.

Right now people are trying desperately to HOLD ON to that euphoria that they felt for a few precious months, imagining that they could CHANGE EVERYTHING with the election of "the right person". They are ANGRY that the ONE avenue that they were pursuing was not successful. They are realizing that this is going to be long and arduous and possibly not achievable in their lifetimes... and they are ANGRY AT LIFE and how it works in the real world. Life is full of incompetence, ignorance, and evil.... and Ron Paul's light shone so bright that we were blinded to that reality for a while.

But, never fear. Liberty thinkers come together even if involuntarily, because they see the world differently and they see the true potential of mankind in a truly free setting. They can't help it... they exude their philosophy from every pore of their bodies, and other like minded thinkers are drawn to them.

I frankly think that we are going to have to go through the destruction of the country (and other countries) before it is over. But if we continue to spread the message, it will be the liberty believers that will be the ones to REBUILD a new society, county by county, state by state.

Thomas Jefferson: “Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever."

Viva La Revolucion!

This is so true. I feel like I am going through a grief process.

I'm alternating between anger and depression.

But I am not giving up. I am still going to spread the liberty message everywhere I go. I am still going to reach out and connect with other like minded people.

I am really just sad and worried for the future of my children. I feel like I am glad to have been awakened 5 years ago by Dr. Paul, but I have lost my "innocence" --that hope that we could really turn things around really quickly. Now we have to change strategies. Work on political changes at the local level, where we the grassroots can have a bigger impact. However, a larger part of my energy will now have to be directed at preparing myself and my family to live through some really rough times ahead...

Gonna try to stay positive, though! It helps to find the humor in things! Like this: http://www.facebook.com/EpicTrap (please donate to this hilarious liberty website if you can!)
