Questions 4 Christians who don't support Paul or his foreign policies

I hear alot of Christians who say we have to support Israel,( I assume militarily and monetarily) in order that God will bless America.

I would ask those Christian why it is..., if that is their interpetation of the bible and their reason for not supporting a non-interventionist foreign policy or Paul, or somehow believe we wouldn't be blessed by God, I would point out to them, that when we were obeying the Constitution (law of the land) and didn't have entangling alliances all around the world, we were a lending nation, had stronger families, communities, and churches. Less social problems and crime.
Vs. now we do give to Israel and their enemies money and military might, not really blessing them, and were a debtor nation, with weaker families, more social problems, more corruption at the top levels of government, it even seems were getting weaker and more divided as a nation.

See what they say.

Hitler used "Christians" and Christian symbols...

to promote fascism also. History is repeating itself.

RP's middle east policy may get our blessing back!

God said, 'I will bless those who bless thee, Oh Israel, and I will curse those who curse thee'

Contrary to what the neo-con koolaid drinking christian leaders in this country believe today, our intervention in Isreal's business, while in turn arming its enemies, i'e. Saudi Arabia, is 'cursing' Isreal not 'blessing' it.

Is it any wonder God is lifting his blessing from this country?

This policy as actually against Scripture toward Israel.

A Word For Christians and lovers of Zion.

The G-d of Host tells us that Israel will never again disappear from the face of the earth after the return of Exile to land of Israel. And also we are plainly told by the prophets that making alliances for protection rather than trusting G-d was the reason for the fall of Israel and “The Day the Towers Fell.” (Is 30:35) (9/11??)

"…that take counsel, but not of Me; and that make alliances, but AGAINST MY WILL…"" Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your SHAME, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt YOUR HUMILIATION."

"Their strength is to SIT STILL." And trust in the Lord

Isaiah 30 Clearly says that the reason for the 2,000 year exile was not trusting G-d and paying Egypt for protection. The U.S. has been paying Egypt for peace to the tune of 63 billion dollars to date. This angers G-d today just as it did 2,000 years ago.

Right action cannot arise out of a lie or dishonesty. IT is a SAD commentary on Christian society today that the Christian Right is endorsing a unconstitutional unjust war because of their “support of Israel”.

Support Israel with Honor not Dis-honor. Support Israel with Justice not Injustice. If the govt stops taking your money and giving it to Egypt couldn’t you then donate that money in Support of Israel? Wouldn’t the Free Market of IDEAS bring further prosperity and PEACE in Israel.
Support Ron Paul and Support the True Spirit of Israel and sit still and have Faith in the Jewish Lord of Host’s.

America Gives Aid to Countries that Persecute Christians and Even Martyr Christians in this Foreign policy. All other candidates represent the military industrial complex. RP for Liberty.

PS 1 meetup member and I were run off from passing out liturature at a United Methodist Church this AM by some old cronie..

I tried looking up Is. 30:35

I tried looking up Is. 30:35 because the "the day the towers fell" quote caught me off guard.... but for anyone else looking for it, its actually Is. 30:25.

sorry, NoFreedom...

....was typing my long-winded post while yours showed up. HOWEVER....

I believe mine DOES address the fact that the USA is off on some kind of RELIGIOUS tangent which is neither doctrinally correct, nor ESPECIALLY politically (Constitutionally, that is) palatable ;-)

agree with healthnuttie & honeybee, ALSO...

...so-called "Christians" seem to believe that there are STILL "unfulfilled promises" to the Israel of the OLD testament. WHY?? Do they think that the following verses, from Joshua, chapter 21, are NOT in the Bible?? Observe....

43 And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.

44 And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.

45 There failed not [ought of] any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

Ummm....exactly WHAT about this is unclear, or says there are still promises yet to be FULFILLED?? Also....

Do they NOT (U.S. Christians--by their own proclamation only) notice any of the JUDGMENTS which Je**vah, who is the SAME God they "worship," visited upon His (former) people when they "turned from His ways" which is exactly what THEY are now doing?? Of course they don't...all they do is sing "God BLESS Amerika" which is merely saying to Him....give us MORE of the MATERIAL wealth you have abundantly showered us with (and You despise). I think THAT god has something a whole lot different in Mind for this nation's future, myself!!

By the way, before I get accused of being some kind of zealot....

....yes, I am a strict Biblical FUNDAMENTALIST Christian. But I do understand that it is up to each INDIVIDUAL (hehe--a bit of Paul-ese if you don't mind) to choose to be atheist, Jewish, Catholic, Muslim, Hindu, or WHATEVER. All of us retain the right to our beliefs, including mine that all of them will burn in a very REAL hell. But it is not within my rights to persecute them HERE on this Earth, just as it is NOT within the rights of the United States to follow an IN ERROR religious doctrine that the current SECULAR nation of Israel must be supported and protected by us!!

Please get back on topic

What is with all of the "Christian" posts lately? This is about Ron Paul being the next President of the United States, not about the bible. Go to a Christian forum and discuss anything you want but please stop using DailyPaul as a religious forum.

This is a huge topic in this election.

Where do you think Huck gets his support? From John Hagee and Rick Warren (They are both CFR, and Warren is Rupert Murdoch's personal pastor.) if you do not know who these people are google them and you will learn how important this topic actually to getting the nomination for Ron Paul.

Is there a Christian

in the world?. I heard that Mahatma Gandi had once said "Christianity is a wonderful religion, to bad only one Man has practiced it". I find so sad that people who claim to want to follow God's will follow the will of others who claim to know God's will. Do they realize that it is not God, but another human telling them what to do?, There is only one "Book" written by God (if you believe there is one, like I do), and that book is the creation, there is no imtermediary between the creation and God, if you want to know about the Creator, study his creation. To have someone tell you that in order to serve God you have to support Israel is idiocy, we as a nation have to look after our national welfare, if you as an individual want to support Israel or any other nation (as long as we are not at war with that nation), go ahead and do it, but do not take money from others by force (taxes) to do that.

NOT a true Christian view!

Listen, I already answered this on the God - tyranny post.

Fact: neither the New Testament nor Jesus says this.
Jesus sacrificed himself for Old Testament sins.
Jesus does NOT advocate killing on behalf of anyone!

Government interference in our lives has led to the breakdown of families and sebsequent moral decay.

True Christians believe in the Separation of Church and State.
Government interference corrupts the Church.

Ron Paul believes in Individual Liberty.

That means that if YOU want to support Israel, or anyone else, you can!
You can donate all your money to Israel if you want.
You can go there and fight for Israel if you want!

But, using our tax dollars to fund a war that Americans are against is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat pork!

I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat meat!

I have posted about this before

I wish Christians would read their BIBLE

Any Christian who believes that it is America’s job to protect Israel; is not reading their Bible.

The Bible states that God will always protect Israel.

As a Christian myself it baffles me when I hear Christians say that the USA is needed in Israel.

If Christians believe God is powerful and can do all things than why do they not believe that God can take care of Israel by Himself?

Why do Christians believe Israel needs our help considering we can’t seem to take care of ourselves?

Wrong answer

The right answer is: Ron Paul does not prevent you to support Israel. In fact, he encourages you to support Israel as much as you want and can, with your money, or with your guns.
He does not want to force OTHER PEOPLE to do it if they don't want it, for any reason.
How would the Christians felt if they were forced to protect some country which they dislike?

A question for Christians

Do you really believe a Pro War Republian can win the general election given the fact that 100,000 more people voted for Democrats in Iowa and New Hampshire?

As a Christian

I hear this bit about how we are to support Israel but where in the Bible does it say that? The Bible makes it very clear (in the New Testament) that when Israel rejected the Gospel, then it went to the gentiles. Modern-day Israel is anyone who professes Jesus Christ as their Savior. We were grafted in, so to speak, in Paul's words.
So I have never understood this focus on Israel. Israel was the nation who was to bring us the messiah. She has. Now it is up to her what she will do about it.
Now, I don't want to offend anyone on this. We are talking Christian doctrine here, not proselytizing.

Healthnuttie for Ron Paul

The lip of truth shall be established forever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment...Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are His delight. Prov 12:19,22

great response

that is my exact belief. Israel is not the "chosen" nation any longer. Israel fulfilled its purpose by bringing Christ to the world. Now anyone who obeys the gospel is the chosen nation and that is worldwide. I have zero responsibility to support Israel as a religious nation. Morally, I would help anyone, no matter their race, religion or any thing else.

How would Jesus react to the Christians of America today, that would give up God given liberty in exchange for a government promising a false security, that it can never achieve?
