Question

At the 26:54 mark of the video, Ben Swann makes the statement below. Is he trying to say that the Fed will be buying US treasuries which will (in theory) lower their rate of interest and that will push people into the higher yielding (though riskier) stock market? When he said "The Fed is going to have control over it", was he referring to "control of the interest rates of US treasuries"?

People may not realize this but when you move into quantitative easing that has no end to it. It's simply indefinite and you're going to buy all this up. If you have a 401K, if you have a mutual fund that you're investing in for your retirement, all of those very safe ones that have traditionally done well, those are all going to be bought out by the Fed. The Fed is going to have control over it. The government will control all of those safe bets. Which means if you have money you want to put aside for your own retirement, they're actually going to force you to put it into riskier stocks. There are no safe bets because they're going to buy up all the ones that are safe.

Good Question

Perhaps Ben will go into more detail on this in a future Reality Check and I would like to know more about hyper inflation, when the paper is worth more to start a campfire with.

Maybe we should start letting

Maybe we should start letting Raycom Media know that we appreciate this kind of reporting so they encourage it at all of their affiliates. We might see a resurgence of local media in the future... Here is a map of Raycom affiliates:
