Romney Supporters Shocked

Today I attended a full day class hosted by American Majority. It was both fun and aggravating, and they provided lunch.

A couple of things were brought up by the host/instructor of the event. I was compelled to set the record perfectly straight.

***

The first issue concerned teachers salaries. After the instructor made his case that teachers are now paid above the median of what other fields in the community earned, the rest of the class became pretty upset. After listening to their gripes, I spoke out:

Companies are going overseas due to endless state/federal restrictions and taxation. This has caused many wages to drop. Why blame the teachers? Furthermore, ending the Federal Department of Education and returning to local/state control would relieve tax payers of unecessary financial burden. I then asked: Why on earth would you insist that others wages should drop? Instead of working to get to the bottom, Americans should be fighting to get rid of the overreaching fed so that we can once again work our way to the top.

The second issue concerned supporting Romney in the general election. I became furious. I stated what had happened in Tampa and also prior at the state conventions. Few, if any, believed me. They insisted that Romney would return sound monetary and fully restore our Constitution. Romney, they said, is going to bring high paying jobs back to our country. Fortunately, the instructor had proof of what I had stated and presented it to the class. Everybody was shocked. Expressions of their disgust were made obvious both physically and verbally. I stood up and informed them about Rule 16, which nobody in the class heard or knew about. After the class had ended, we stood outside for about an hour discussing the tragedies that happened this election. Many agreed when I said that there was NO way on this earth that I would even consider supporting the Republican party after the sh$t that they had pulled. Most agreed with me. I walked to my car satisfied that I had done my job, while they walked to their cars with their heads hung low.

All in all I still had fun. Plus, they had bagels, soda and pizza for lunch.

Thank you for the huge smile you just put on my face :)

This is not a r3volution

it is a chisel that we use to slowly scrape the film away. Keep up the great work!!!!

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

Great work!

This is how we win by winning hearts and minds a few at a time. When you have the truth on your side anything is possible.

Man you are well spoken...

And you must be super smart too...Good day!

"They insisted that Romney

"They insisted that Romney would return sound monetary and fully restore our Constitution." I highly doubt that. Unless you brought it up first and they claimed Romney would too as a way to cut you down.

.

The lady that is in the tea party brought it up first. She did not cut me down, she just disgreed with me, until the instructor provided proof about what happened at Tampa convention.

Everybody was nice and nobody cut anybody down.

Weirdly nice :) That is why

Weirdly nice :) That is why we have to attend tea party/republican functions!

I never considered that.

I only attended for the class and the lunch. There are regular tea parties that are held here that I have never attended, but now that you mention it, I may attend.

This title is misleading!

I wasn't aware that Willard had any actual "supporters". ;)

But that's beside the point. Keep up the fine work!

You planted the seed

It seems like a slow as hell process but eventually people will start catching on. Good job.

They may be shocked

They may be shocked to learn the truth, however, most will go back to sticking their heads in the sand and justify voting for the lesser of two evils. They will convince themselves that "we can't have four more years of Obama", even though that's what you will get with Romney. Those ill informed idiots just can't seem to connect the dots.
Sad, but true.

You never know.

Some of them may go home and do a little research on the internet, now that it's been brought to their attention. Most of us were asleep at one time too, you know. He planted seeds of information in people's minds today, and some of the seeds might just grow. It's a process, and the momentum is building.

Kudos to the OP for a job well done!

Job well done...
