To those Rand Paul doubters...

You need to be listening to Rand chew the Senate out about foreign aid! Wow do I see so much of his father in him today! Romney endorsement or not...it is time to stop attacking our allies, and attack enemies of liberty!

The only thing he has stopped short of, is saying, if you do not get on board in stopping aid, you need to resign or the American people need to vote you out of office!

I don't care what you say...this guy is impressive!

Ron Paul Brings the Fight For Liberty to The Lower Chamber...Now

Rand Paul Brings it to the Upper Chamber (Senate) of the House/Congress...Next Up, The WH!!!

Rand Paul 2016!!!

As long as Rand holds that

As long as Rand holds that sentiment in regard to ALL foreign aid, then i agree with him and I acknowledge his principle and courage on the matter. That is his father's position and is one I share.

If he will reverse his position to ensure foreign aid keeps flowing to Israel or some other "favored nation", then he'll lose my respect significantly. The principle rests upon the fact that it is the American people's money, and their welfare should not be decided for them, neither for welfare "queens", nor corporate "queens" nor for foreign powers.

So I'm optimistic but remain watchful with respect to Rand. If anyone has a clip of him eschewing all foreign aid, I'd love to see it. That would assuage my concerns a bit.

We call ourselves awake

and bash Rand, well then you ain't awake. Rand is 100% us with a nice little twist. Let him kick ass where he is able to. Rand Paul 2016!!!!!

9/11 Truth.

Speak for yourself when you

Speak for yourself when you say "us", I completely back Rand

Kinda hard to

stay mad at him after that :)

Quote from Senator Rand Paul:

Is anybody besides me MAD that we are sending foreign aid to African dictators whose sons are importing Rolls Royces, Bentleys, Ferraris, and Bugattis to Africa, to countries that have no electricity? I don't care if you're the biggest humanitarian in the world and you want to help people, it's not going to the people; the foreign aid is STOLEN by the leadership of these countries, and this isn't one example. This is example after example, decade after decade, and the learning curve around here is so slow that we will get 10 maybe 20 senators to place ANY restrictions on foreign aid.

Ron talked to Congress like they are rational, mature adults

It was his biggest mistake.

Rand talks to the Senate like a frustrated parent of a slow 12 year old.

"Why did you swallow that penny AGAIN!?"

HAHAHAHAH

HAHAAHAHHAHAHA

this is my all time favorite post

I am glad I friended you on the DP

Your comments are spot on. Rand talked to them like they were idiots. That was the greatest thing EVER. Each one of those dorks had to swallow their pride.

Ron talked to them like adults, that was a BIG mistake. I think everyone is looking at this backwards. Ron was the one in the wrong to think he could talk sense into the senseless lmfao.

LOL

In Ron Paul's defense he was making a record for the books, including his voting record. He said he hoped one day someone might look back and see it as meaningful. I don't think Ron Paul thought he would see real change in his lifetime initially.

So his foreign aid resolution

Is being voted on at midnight? Is that right? Can i watch on cspan?

some quotes

"Why are they mad?... They're mad because Mubarak, who was a dictator in Egypt; Do you know what he did when the crowds would form? He hosed em down with tear gas made in Pennslyvania, bought with foreign aid. When the police came with truncheons and beat the crap out of you, if you were a protester in Egypt, they did it with money from the United States. They are not mad at us because we are rich, they are not mad at us because we drive cars, and have nice clothes and have music that they find distasteful. They are really, ultimately, not mad at us because of that movie - they don't like it, and I undertand their sensibilities toward this, but that is not ultimatley why they are mad about. You get really mad when you are hit over the head with a police truncheon paid for with foreign aid. So its really exactly the opposite of what the other side says. The other side says without foreign aid, we will have more war - I say because of the foreign aid, we have more war. There is no objective evidence - is there any objective evidence that we have had less war with foreign aid? None, zero. There is a lot of evidence we are out of money, though. We are a trillion dollars in the hole every year... "
"So i say far from destabilizing the world; what would happen is if we remove foreign aid, we would remove the impetus to the Arab Spring becoming the Arab Winter. What I see is people recognizing that people are angry, but I see no intelligent discussion about why they are angry. When people come to me amd they say, ' Oh its because you're rich, and you're a wealthy country,' that doesn't make any sense to me. Many of these people in the Arab Spring really do want freedom, a freedom like our freedom - maybe a little different, I mean its a different culture, they beleive in a different system of democracy than we do, but they still want some freedom. So... If hey want freedom and we have freedom, why wouldn't they admire our system, why wouldn't they be sympathetic? Why are they burning our flag, why are 20-30-40-50 thousand people rallying to burn our flag? Its because too often our foreign aid has gone to support dictators who have oppressed their people. Mubarak got 60 billion dollars in Egypt, his family is worth 20-30-40 some estimate its a 50 billion dollars. They repressed their people; you couldn't come into the street without being beaten over the head with a police baton, or sprayed with tear gas made in Pennsylvania. They were mad at Mubarak, understandably so, and that anger is transferred to us. The same with Ben Ali in Tunisia, the same with Hussein. You will remember, Hussein was our ally before he was our enemy. In the Iran-Iraq war, you had American planes on both sides. We had military advisors supporting Hussein against Iran, but we had F4 Phantoms flying on Irans side that were left in there when we left.
I remember being in High School and being perplexed, why do the Iranians hate us? Why were they burning our flag and embassy and jumping up and down like a bunch of idiots, burning our flag - why do they hate us so much? Because we kept in power a man, the Shah, who they didn't like. Who they despised and who was autocratic, and had a very significant police force that didn't allow dissent.
So really its the opposite of what the other side is arguing for, the other side is arguing that without foreign aid, we will have war - I am arguing that because of foreign aid we have war. Because of foreign aid, and because of the misapplication of foreign aid, and because of theft of foreign aid, because foreign aid is given to people who oppress their people, the Arab Spring, which has a healthy element to it, has become the Arab Winter."

Thank you for the transcripts! It's great to hear the truth.

No one else in the Senate will tell the TRUTH about our situation. Thank you Senator Paul, for your courage and intelligent analysis.

There's another thing he stopped short of - Israel

Congress gives away about $3 billion per year to Israel, and has given Israel well over $100 billion total.

Netanyahu says 9/11 terror attacks good for Israel

The Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv on Wednesday reported that Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu told an audience at Bar Ilan university that the September 11, 2001 terror attacks had been beneficial for Israel.

"We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq," Ma'ariv quoted the former prime minister as saying. He reportedly added that these events "swung American public opinion in our favor."

I am willing to pay

attention to Rand. There are some things he says that do sound like his father, and some things that make me a little uneasy. I am not guaranteeing that I will vote for him when he runs, but I will pay attention. He will probably be FAR better than the other Repubs that will run.

top youtube comment: Rand has

top youtube comment: Rand has spoken out against main stream in the last month than any current congressman. He ripped Romney for being a "weaponized Keynsian" on ABC, he said Republicans need to stop saying "bomb everyone now," he ripped 1/2 of Republicans in the Senate who couldn't cut 7 million in sugar subsidies, so how can they be trusted to cut trillions. He also said that if the Ryan/Romney doesn't balance the budget within a term, he'll vote against it. Rand is no traitor, he's very much his father's son!!

Now THOSE are encouraging

Now THOSE are encouraging statements!

Anybody who endorses Mitt Romney........

is an enemy of liberty!

What kind of man remains silent when his own father is disrespected at the convention by a man he endorsed?

The answer: Rand Paul - the lowest life form in the universe!

Ron Paul deserved better. He is a patriot and a military veteran who dedicated his life to making this country a free republic and better place to live for future generations. In his final year in office his own son shamefully abandoned him in pursuit of more power and influence.

And that is the real story!

Yes

Because obviously Rand and his Dad never talk and his father was little to no influence in his life.

I'm hoping you eventually realize how absurd you sound.

they sure don't talk now, do they erik...

how absurd is that?

his own father doesn't approve of his politics but you expect us to?

that is the true definition of absurdity but I expected it from you...

I know the truth of the matter

regarding sanctions..

Sanctions are war, thus it is meaningless to say he put an amendment in that would not lead to war when the very act is war.
