Attenion TV - communications personsSubmitted by donvino on Fri, 09/21/2012 - 23:44
I am currently looking into info regarding TV aerials and antennas.
Our family has a steel triangular TV tower about 30 feet high with one of those old electric manual rotating motors....thus the dial cannot go past 360 degrees or the wires will get tangled. Other than that it works fine.
The question is regarding antennas.... somebody installed a newer antenna because the old one was held together with pieces of wood lol
Yet the newer antenna might have better quality but the range is pitiful. The old antenna probably had a range of 150 mile.
The TV is not HD but has a converter.
Does anyone have any recommendations for an antenna or what other possiblities a TV tower might have?
Thanks, I know very little about this topic.
p.s. Would a higher tower be more helpful?
