Will u Run for Congress?

I met the guy running for his seat this weekend, Al White......he'd be easy to beat. He is totally a warmongler.

I will be running for the third time. Growing up I never thought I could be a candidate. It is really a great experience. It is a pain to get on the balot though. I need 150 Libertarian signuatures to get on without it costing money. You would be surprised. It is quite hard to get those.

but I'm sure I have none. No matter how they violated and trumpled my rights, I just walked away - hoping to fight for it another day. They have nothing on me. I'll try in 2010.

State House, State Senate. These seats are manageable, more cheap, with lower barriers of entry, easier to win, and the risk of loss is lower. Think of it as a Precinct Canvasser on Steroids. It would REALLY freak out the establishment if we could get 7,500 of the Precinct leaders across the country to wear two hats.

If Federal Congress sounds like too big a fish for someone to fry, consider a smaller level seat.

You get signatures at the supermarket or at home depot about 1000 a day. you tell them your not voting for me only getting me on the ballot. A little hand bill for the more popular things you will be running for will possibly recruit voters. Go independent in some places 40% of people are such. 3 weekends of educating the sheeple on issues will get you on. Considier it like a new hobby. Every time you run you get more name recognition so you will stand a better chance in 2010. Plus you will be able to get in editorial page more easily critisizing your congress person over the next two years.

The media will freak out if we can get 50 people to run this year.

I live in San Francisco. I was planning to move out to Dublin and run in distric 11 in 2010, but I've kicked around the idea of running here. Frankly, no one would have a prayer vs. Pelosi, but it would be fun, and would get some exposure.

3000 signatures would get me on the GOP primary ballot. Our local meetup has 495 members. Of course I doubt there are 3000 Republicans in all of San Francisco ;)
