More MSM Direction: Why Ron Paul’s Libertarian Fans Need to Support Our Constitution…and Romney - Part 2

As I read this article and some of the comments, I couldn't help but notice that they all talk down to us. No mention of the bile and cheating they have perpetrated. Not one mention of the fact that they shoved Romney down our throats the same way they shoved McCain. No mention that the GOP has not slowed the big government train down one bit. Seems like GOP members introduce at least half of the freedom grabbing legislation that rolls through the house and senate. But it's not their fault, it is Paul supporters...

I wouldn't even comment on his article

He doesn't deserve the attention.

Didn't read this because just the headline made me sick, but, Isn't it a contradiction in itself? Romney, support the constitution? Together in one sentence? HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

I thought this line was particularly ironic.

But then, maybe I’m wrong. Maybe alienating your potential converts is a brilliant counter-intuitive strategy that I’m just too dumb to see.

I had hoped no one would take the bait

We already had this argument with Shlicter last week.

Apparently Shlicter was unable to comprehend the valid arguments we gave him in response to last weeks piece of trash. This second article incorporates no new ideas, acknowledges none of the information he was offered, and like the first, presents no supporting arguments. It's just the typical string of repetitive insults, sprinkled with the same demands and threats. Clearly, shlicter enjoys the attention and wants more. Why indulge him?

I had posted my own take on Shlicter's 2nd article 7 or 8 hours before this one was posted.
I spent quite a bit of time putting it together, but it was essentially ignored.

Now he is just trolling for

Now he is just trolling for clicks.

Still looking for a scapegoat

If Romney really wants to win, he ought to try harder. After all, he tried very hard to secure the nomination before now. If he really has anything to offer the American people, he ought to be able to show it, right? Just attacking Obama won't work, and riding one's campaign on "business sector experience" doesn't tell us how he'd handle the growing police state and wars and the Fed and social issues and such.

These guys really ought to realize that supporting Romney equals supporting a loser, and therefore should try supporting someone else. 3rd party can do very well, if they get decent exposure.

"Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." -- Thomas Paine

If Romney announced that he

If Romney announced that he would appoint Ron to be Secretary of State, I'll be willing to give him a second look. Short of that. Forget it!

I think the republicans were

I think the republicans were going to lose either way in 08 because of George Dubsters. But now we must focus on 2016 and send a strong message to the repubs to shift gears or lose. Vote GJ or write in Ron Paul where you can. Show the numbers they lost and demand they put up a worthy candidate next time.

the comments...

on that Breitbart article

Or anything about Obama's drone strikes.

Hey Everyone this article

Hey Everyone this article provided by lewrockwell.com is a must read. Murray Rothbard discusses the myths and stereotypes about libertarians. Like usual, Rothbard does a phenomenal job in addressing and combatting these falsities.

Exactly what is a Ron Paul Libertarian FAN?

My Post:

As a Veteran who takes his oath seriously, I have a DUTY to NOT vote for Romney for the very reason this "article" claims that I should. In fact, I have a DUTY to vehemently oppose both of them. You see, when Romney, during the SC debate, said that he would sign the NDAA as written (just like Obama did) - I knew he is an ENEMY of the Constitution and the Republic, unlike what this "article" tries to imply.

You see, the NDAA (now the "law" of the land) which is fully supported by Romney - allows the US Military to: Detain American Citizens Indefinitely - with NO Constitutional Rights! Yes, you are reading this correctly... no crime has to be committed, no charges, no trial, no lawyer, no jury - just Indefinite Prison. (Google: "NDAA Indefinite Detention")

So, please explain to me and other Veterans - who take their Oath to the Constitution seriously - why I should support Romney, since he supports the Death of the Constitution? I'd love to hear your explanation.

"Government is the entertainment division of the military-industrial complex". - Frank Zappa

Obama smokes Romney on iq alone

funny how the fascist love to use the word freedom.

No way I'm voting either though -been voting Libertarian since 88 and will in 2012

Government is supposed to protect our freedom, our property, our privacy, not invade it. Ron Paul 2007

And If We Vote for Romney?

What happens then? We get a slightly less crappy president; at best. Afterwards, when Romney is further ruining our country, what can the Paul supporters who voted for Romney say? They certainly cannot advance their position...Romney already won. And in 4 years, when we start this all over again, you'll hear the same excuse "well, he's better than the other guy".

It is lose lose if you vote for Romney. You are better off letting Obama win and making the republicans regroup to the point where they select a candidate that has at least a good portion of the right answers.

Logic Fail

..."letting Obama win and making the republicans regroup to the point where they select a candidate that has at least a good portion of the right answers."

REALLY?.....Didn't we do this with McCain/Palin?

Instead of "they".....it will be "we" if everybody works towards a GOP Takeover.....Ron Paul Republicans?...Remember?

WE: take over....WE:Choose the next candidate..WE: NOT THEY/THEM.

"Beyond the blackened skyline, beyond the smoky rain, dreams never turned to ashes up until.........

Romney is almost certainly

Romney is almost certainly "more crappy" on foreign policy including on issues of protectionism, saber rattling with Russia and China, and military spending. His call to increase the "defense budget" by a trillion is a major budget buster.

For such an inconsequential, ragtag group of robots....

...the RNC is sure trying hard to get our vote. How can our "few" votes possibly sway the election, RNC?

I know, I know, it's my "patriotic duty" to vote Republican so we can defeat Obama. Problem is, MY patriotic duty is to my country, not some party that cares nothing about me until election day.

The last time I listened to the RNC I voted for Bush 43. Now we have the PATRIOT Act, endless wars, eternal surveillance, etc., etc., etc.

No, RNC, you've gotten my last vote until you wake up. And, dear RNC, WHEN Obama wins, it will be YOUR fault--again. You gave us McCain and now Romney--probably the two weakest candidates you could field. If I believed in conspiracies, I might think that you (or your handlers) WANT Obama to win.

Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil.

They're just trying to use us as scapegoats

They know their hand-picked boy is a colossal failure and see that they are most likely going to lose the election.

It's too much of a coincidence that we went from being inconsequential to suddenly getting all this attention from the talking heads in what is such an obvious coordinated effort, as well as totally cynical as the "appeal" to us is really a tirade on why we suck and are allegedly to blame if Romney loses. It's not really an appeal at all, it's a false accusation.

If they can make everyone think it's our fault and not theirs, then they probably think they can keep a hold of their power grab moves at the convention, with the argument that they need to stop those crazy Ron Paul people from "ruining" another election for them. When, obviously, it is the exact opposite and they think that if they don't start blaming us, the people with brains will blame them and take their power away. Pathetic.

That article was infuriating.

In essence, what they want is to do is hit the four-year snooze button again, until they want us to hit it again the next time, and the next...
This is their own damn fault and they can writhe and shreak and blame all they want. I'm laughing in there faces.

Pro-Ron Paul comments are kicking arse. :)

Vote for Romney/Ryan?

They (romney and obama fans) need to get behind Ron Paul, the constitution and the Revolution.

they need to stop wasting their votes on tyrants and dictators.

I use Blue Wave, but don't expect one of THEIR silly taglines.

There is no difference between Obama & Romney

Social issues might be a little different, but that WONT save the economy from collapsing. Obama balances the budget in 35 years and Romney in 30....WOW big difference.

Here's how it works : haters hate.

Here's how it works :

Haters hate.

Bring them some truth and challenging questions ... and they hate you more.

The pitfall / trap is to fall our turn in hating them, and displaying it. We must do our best to avoid that (granted, easier said than done.)

So, there's no point doing so, there, it's a waste of energy, and it's not what we believe in.

It's not so much the bad persons we need to attack as it is THE BAD, DESTRUCTIVE, or downright EVIL ideas and plans that betray the founding principles, and their text, the Constitution.

Let us not cease to defend WHAT is right and must be restored and denounce WHAT is wrong and must be repealed.

Not so much the who.
