More MSM Direction: Why Ron Paul’s Libertarian Fans Need to Support Our Constitution…and Romney - Part 2

As I read this article and some of the comments, I couldn't help but notice that they all talk down to us. No mention of the bile and cheating they have perpetrated. Not one mention of the fact that they shoved Romney down our throats the same way they shoved McCain. No mention that the GOP has not slowed the big government train down one bit. Seems like GOP members introduce at least half of the freedom grabbing legislation that rolls through the house and senate. But it's not their fault, it is Paul supporters...

Nice Sneakers!

..But will you be voting for any "other" candidates?

BTW: You didn't get your screen-names mixed up didja?

So what Romney is a corporate facsist?

It's not about Romney for me..

I don't like any of the candidates, so I'm working to give Ron Paul Republicans a chance by obtaining a seat so they can be vetted.

I don't know about the sjy falling, but I do knpow that working on giving Ron Paul Republicans a chance sure beats sign waving.

I find it amusing that a man

I find it amusing that a man who supported a socialist (Nader) now holds himself up as an expert.

I didn't Agree with all of Nader's platform

What I did agree with was the we needed open ballots and debates and that seemed more worthy of my grassroots effort than voting for someone that I didn't like in any party.

which way

which way will the wind blow next?

Let me get this right. You

Let me get this right. You used your vote to empower a socialist so we could have "open ballots" and now you want us to listen to you?

Nader is a Socialist?

You mean like ALL the other Elected Representatives and Senators who continually enact BIG GOVT Legislation?

...And Granger's vote "empowered" Nader?

When did this happen?...I must've missed Granger exercising this vast amount of political/Social power you speak of.

I was dealing with Granger on

I was dealing with Granger on his own terms. He's a big believer in the theory that individual votes matter. In my view, you have a better chance of getting killed on the way to the polling place than determining a presidential election, hence you should vote your conscience.

Hmmm..Sounds Like Murphy' Law

Murphy's Law:
Anything that can go wrong will do just that.
To carry it one step further......
"Kelly's Law":
which states that Murphy......was an optimist!

Since voting seems to be (in your opinion) useless and inconsequential, would it not be a better "plan" to effect change by a different method?
In Granger's example it seems to be by exercising political clout, by virtue of a post/membership/office within the "system".

In this case:A system run (eventually) by Ron Paul Republicans.
Your thoughts are welcome on this.
Oh..BTW...The Granger....... is a woman.

I have no problem with people

Let a thousand flowers bloom. I have no problem with people who want to be active in the GOP (though it is one of many strategies).....Granger takes it a step further, however, by openly arguing here that we should cast our votes for a warmongering drug warrior corporatist on the grounds that a "vote for Johnson is a vote for Obama." Voting is NOT inconsequential for me. I regard it as an important expression of conscience and my conscience is worth nothing if I vote for a wannabe murderer.

So...Atkinson..Who will You

..Be voting for....as a matter of conscience, as you say?

"Beyond the blackened skyline, beyond the smoky rain, dreams never turned to ashes up until.........

Probably Johnson. He is

Probably Johnson. He is clearly the least of three evils. It is primarily, not exclusively conscience. Another standard is which candidate has the best chance to make a positive impact for the future; in the case of Johnson that means creating a foundation for a strong third party.

He's the most evil of them all

He's a REPUBLICAN, who took Ron Paul's message, twisted it to fill in what problems people had with Ron Paul, for example abortion, same sex marriage,, you're being played by the GOP. GJ is NO Libertarian. After the election he's going to return to the GOP once he's done stringing the people who are looking for a "the best candidate" who represents them, as if we weren't already being taken by corproations!!! He's doing the GOP a BIG favor running a race he KNOWS he won't win.

When you guys understand it's NOT about who is president any more. They man we wanted is OUT, now it's up to us, and running to a third party so you can remain in the streets waving signs, while Palin's peeps are taking the seats YOU earned, to me, you're either cowards (you smoke pot so you won't man up, but remain hiding like cockroaches looking for cake) or you don't get politics. Maybe it comes with the pot smoking, which is decriminalized where I live, so it's not even an issue.

I think everyone EVERYONE jumping on the GJ bus, is either a coward or a Democrat misleading the dumbest among us.

You've really gone off the

You've really gone off the deep end. While you were supporting that socialist Ralph Nader, and long before Ron ran for the Republican nomination, GJ was cutting taxes, defending the second amendment, and campaiging against the Iraq War. GJ has done more to advance liberty than you will in a million lifetimes.

He did all that as a Republican

GJ is a shill for Obama and after Nov he will return to the GOP, leaving you on the street, waiting for the next sign wave.

Neo Con GJ

is in it to split the vote for screw-up obama. He's obama's puppet.
I wonder how much he got paid by obama camp to run third party?

Keepin' it real.

I don't see Nader as a socialist, for one

I see Nader as a person who has been ripped off by government more than anyone, and has sued more branches of government, and won. He has been misconstruen and censored far more than Ron Paul, which made Ron Paul's campaign and what happened a cake walk by comparison.

Those who could not take what heppened to Ron Paul wouldn't last a day working for Nader's FIGHT for open debates and ballots. Now they are behind GJ for open debates. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. But don't listen to me.

I have expereince which you don't need to listen too. Don't. Enjoy your hard knocks.

The man who gave us Obamacare

The man who gave us Obamacare (that is Romney) is going to save us? Yeah right. If Romney wins, the system will collapse, guess who will be blamed? The free market. It will taken generations for libery ideas to make a come-back.

If Obama brings down the system, on the other hand, the blame is more likely to be put where it belongs: statism. Viewed from that angle, an Obama victory is far, far preferable.

Save us?

We have to save ourselves and a Major Party is the best shot.

Obama brings down the system, blame is going to pale next to survival.

The system is going to down

The system is going to down in either scenario, my friend. Pass the word to your Naderite friends.

I don't agree

so I won't be passing your word to my Naderite friends.
