You know you're a conspiracy theorist if...

You are capable of critical thinking.

You distrust mainstream media.

You like nature.

You think it’s a good idea to spend the Friday after Thanksgiving with your family rather than camping outside Best Buy to get a cheap plasma television made in China.

You think it’s a little strange that WTC building 7 came down at free fall speed on 9/11 yet it was never hit by a plane...

You're probably a conspiracy

You're probably a conspiracy theorist if you know what a petrodollar is.

“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”

I suppose I am a conspiracy theorist in that

I'm convinced that when football players huddle together with their backs to everyone, then they are planning a secret play that might help them beat their opponent.

Not such a crazy thing.

Thomas Jefferson: “Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever."

Viva La Revolucion!

I noticed it said nothing about MK-Ultra

Or fluoride being used for brainwashing. Or Bilderberg. Or the Free Masons.

None of these things mentioned in the list are "conspiracies" in the sense that they are secret. All of them are out in the open (except WTC 7, but that is an exception to most other secret conspiracy theories in my opinion).

**You know you are a conspiracy theorist if you downvote someone for simply suggesting that everything is not an effing conspiracy.**

The point

is to make fun of people who label everyone who thinks other than they do a conspiracy theorist. To do so you have to stick to things that are fairly easy to support. Flouride, and Bilderburg, and the Free Masons, most people of any stripe really do associate with conspiracy, so it would defeat the purpose of the post to put them in the list.

You are a conspiracy theorist simply by

being suspicious of plans being made in secret, whether it is a possible surprise birthday party, a spouse's extra-marital affair, whatever.

A conspiracy theorist is only completely off their rocker when the theories are so far off whack that they can't be substantiated at all, by anything or anyone else.

So people should be judged not because they believe conspiracies occur but how well substantiated their theories are.
