Republican Candidate For State House - Endorses Gary Johnson?!

I'm still a Ron Paul Republican, but we have to ensure a Romney defeat Now if a Liberty Republican is going to have a real shot at the POTUS race in 2016! This endorsement could make real waves, especially if more are to follow!

This was sent to me by Debra Johnson, who asked me to help spread it around. I'm going to send it to a few talk show hosts, but thank God for the Daily Paul, where we can get info without any filters!

"I, Debra Johnson, Republican candidate for state representative in Merrimack County, NH District 10 endorse Libertarian candidate, Gary Johnson, for President in 2012. Mr. Johnson addresses core issues that we face as a country. He stands for liberty. He wants to end our senseless wars and bring our men and women home. He wants to end the drug war which only serves to support foreign drug lords who use their income to fund terrorism, fill our prisons and clog our court system.

Personally tired of campaigns based on finger pointing and big promises with no details of the implementation plan, culminating into broken promises and more finger pointing, I want to break the vicious circle we have been traveling for decades.

I supported Ron Paul in the Republican primary. I supported him because he had “detailed” information as to how we got to where we are today, along with a “detailed” plan on how to move in a positive direction. Now, there is something we don't hear from many mainstream candidates! Gary Johnson is not Ron Paul and neither am I. But, Gary Johnson is aware that we are on the wrong path and need to study issues and make some real changes. Most importantly, he is not controlled by the same big money controlling the mainstream candidates who accept their contributions from the same mega corporations.

Gary Johnson seeks the presidency with more political experience than either the Republican or Democratic candidate acquired before running. Mr. Johnson is a two-term (the state has a 2 term limit) former Governor of New Mexico. Obama was a one-term senator. Romney was a one-term governor who chose not to run for re-election.

Gary Johnson is a self-made businessman who grew a one-man handyman business into one with over one-thousand employees. Obama has little-to-no private sector business experience. Romney was a privileged son of a wealthy businessman/politician.

Vote, with me, for Gary Johnson and stand for personal freedom and an end to senseless wars."

VERY BRAVE of you Deb! I hope we all see you out in the MSM for this!

NH State Rep Seth Cohn endorsed Gary Johnson

NH State Rep Seth Cohn also endorsed Gary Johnson. He originally endorsed Ron Paul, I beleive last year. However, a few days ago, since Ron Paul is no longer in the race, Rep. Cohn endorsed Gary Johnson.

Here is what Patch said.
Many of those Paul supporters were at UNH on Wednesday to hear Johnson speak. They see him as a far better alternative than Romney or Barack Obama.

Some of those in attendance were former Paul supporters like Libertarian gubernatorial candidate John Babiarz, state representative candidate Kevin Kervick of Portsmouth, State Rep. Seth Cohn, R-Canterbury, and even former Ron Paul staffer Brian Early of Portsmouth.

Kervick, a Republican, publicly endorsed Johnson on Wednesday, saying he thinks the country is "broken," and he doesn't see the national Republican or Democratic parties doing anything to fix it. He said he still supports Republican candidates for governor and other state offices, but can't bring himself to endorse Romney.

"The way the Republican Party treated Ron Paul supporters, particularly at the convention, was despicable," Kervick said. "That was sort of the last straw for me."

Johnson State Director Hardy Macia, who was with Ron Paul in 2008, said the influx of Ron Paul supporters has breathed life into the Johnson campaign here in New Hampshire.

"Right after the RNC, we saw a big influx of supporters," Macia said. "They've been phone banking, doing sign waves – we have a lot more interest now."

me too

It generated a lot of press for me. NH is a swing state so they are quite concerned. I used the press to talk about Paul and issues that are important to me. Fighting corruption nationally resonates with independents strongly.

Debra Johnson... no relation

Debra Johnson... no relation to Gary Johnson I assume? ;)

Support Gary Johnson

The Deb Johnson support of Gary Johnson is well considered. Gary Johnson is in Ron Paul's own words "doing a good job" and represents our best chance at keeping the voice of liberty in this election cycle. With the country facing a vitual change over to communism, we must act now. Look at the communist hammer and sickle along side the Cadillac logo in this video and tell me if Bush and Obama could have done it differently:

I agree - that is a

I agree - that is a well-supported rationale for endorsing a candidate. Good for her!

Call the Commission on Presidential Debates at 202-872-1020 and demand Gov. Gary Johnson's inclusion in the debates.

Call and encourage them to include GJ

I called as well.

The guy who answered the phone was polite, and referred me to their web page for criteria for inclusion in the debates. I already had the web page opened and read the criteria back to him, and we spoke for a moment on the 15% rule. I encouraged him to consider that if candidates are not included in the debates, it's exceedingly hard for them to get media coverage and reach 15% in the first place.

He said he would pass my message along to his superiors.

I hope everyone takes a few minutes out of their schedule to give them a call.

Here is the web page in case you need it:

they refereed me to their website that discusses requirements. I told them that I know what it says and it needs to be changed to anyone that can receive enough electoral votes to win shall be in the debate

Thank you Brian

270 electoral votes right?

Makes much more sense than the easily manipulated polling data!

I am!

It's not brave, it's desperate.

It's pandering because she's losing the race witrhin the GOP to Rosano and Kennedy who have a better shot against the Democratic incumbant Schurleff. I'm sure after November she will leave the GOP and GJ will rejoin.

So you are saying...

Throw the Liberty Republican under the bus because either of the republicrats have a better chance of beating the demoplican?

I am!

I'm saying that the liberty candidate just threw herself under a bus in the GOP to win LP votes. It's a three way race in her district for the GOP.. so she just lost the GOP votes, which is the bigger party for votes who hopes to get.

The worst part, for those of us who joined the GOP and have to deal with the "libertarian" lable (I was once a member, so last meeting a member says, "Well Grace, a good friend of mine says you tell everyone you are a proud libertarian". I responded, "I was a Libertarian from 76-93, became an Indy, and joined the GOP in 2010." They looked at the chair, and the chair said, "That's right.", So the committee member said, "You looked it up?", and the chair says, "Yes, of course, and she qualified for her seat." The committee member says, "Oh", and gives me this smile like, "Oops!")

So this kind of endorsement doesn't help those of us in the GOP for Ron Paul, but she doesn't care about us, apparently, and why it's a desperate move. She has nothing to lose becasue she's losing.

i don't see how this

Hurts us that are working within the GOP. Am I missing something?

I am!

IN the GOP

The neocons are going to hold us to a loyalty aoth. My ballot os mailed to me, I have to sign the envelope, so you can think there are secret abllots, but to me, signing the enveope makes it not a secret. Voting for GJ is reason to out a member. Supporting GJ is reason to out a member. As far as I;'m concerned, she's out, simply wanting to make it official.. she can say "Oh they kicked me out", and we get more, :"Big bad gop", and fewer joining us to do what Ron Paul asked us to do. Join the GOP.

Ron Paul

The only thing I ever understood Ron to ask of his supporters to do is follow their individual beliefs. Meaning join the GOP if you feel that is your best step moving forward otherwise follow whatever you feel is the best option for yourself. Be an individual and don't submit to a group think mentality.

Why must you continually lie?

Why must you continually lie? First, nobody in your committee is going to know who you vote for unless you tell them. Not only that, but your loyalty oath doesn't require you to vote for Romney. Either show where in your loyalty oath it says you must vote for Romney or stop lying.

Also, we have already covered your nonsense that Ron Paul asked us to all join the GOP. I'll just repost what I've written before. You are so full of it. Here is what Ron Paul said we should do, "Do whatever you want. Do what you think is important. Everybody is an individual."

I'm going to post this every single time you try to tell us what Ron Paul said to do.

Finally, because you like to throw in an additional lie when I post this, no, Ron Paul didnt say this after nobody could become a delegate for him any longer. He wasn't saying that "since people didnt listen to me they should just do what you want," as you like to claim. He said this back in 2011 when anyone could've became a delegate and joined a committee. It is apparently very hard for you to stop lying, but it is only making you look foolish.

I have no reason to lie

I don't care what YOU do. Do what YOU want.

My ballot is mailed to me in TWO envelopes. The ballot goes into an envelope I MUST SIGN, and then another envelope that goes to the county clerk. Haw hard is it to open the envelope with MY SIGNATURE and look at my ballot to see how I voted?

I can bring my ballot to ONE polling place and that is run and operated by the treasusrer of my committee who admits she opens the envelopes and puts them in a marked box for ABV. How hard is it for her to open my envelope with my signature, which my ballot MUST COME IN THAT ENVELOPE and, not see how I voted.

For me to think, "Oh it's secret so they won't look." would be foolish.

Ron Paul asked us to become GOP delegates, if you did not he said, DO WHAT YOU WANT. YOU choce to NOT be on our team.. so do what you want. Get lost!

Post it a million times. DO WHAT YOU WANT. Won't change a thing!

Granger, I understand you

Granger, I understand you don't have to lie, but you continually do it nonetheless. You lie so often that you lied yet again in your response to me. Here is the full quote from Ron Paul,

"People ask, 'What should I do?'"

"Do whatever you want. Do what you think is important. Everybody is an individual.

The most important thing is the responsibility of yourself and to study and read, and understand it, and how to explain it and convert people. Then, make a decision. Being a participant in Campaign for Liberty is pretty important, and keeping that going, and getting more groups, and more organizations..."

"Our efforts, should, in order to win, what we have to do is continue campaigning for liberty and get more people to agree with us."

Nowhere does he say, if you don't become a delegate and join a committee that you are not on our team. You lie, yet again. Keep it up, though, because people need to see you for what you are.

Side note - To all those who have joined a committee, become a delegate, or anything else like that, I have no problem with what you are doing. I think everybody should work for liberty in whatever way you feel you can best contribute. I only have a problem with the constant lies and distortions coming out of Granger. She, apparently, thinks everyone must be like her, and is willing to lie to people to convince them to do as she has done. I find that character trait despicable, but if others want to convince people to join them on committees, without lying, then you won't see me calling you out.

On to your other lie, Granger. Show me where you are required to vote for Romney, and show me where you can lose your seat if you do not vote for him. If you can't or won't do so, we'll all know you are lying through your teeth.

pants on fire

that's what establishment shills do. they figure if they say it loud enough and often enough, others might begin to believe it.

good thing about the daily paul is that most of the people on here have learned to see BS when it is present.

I've been an elected PCO here in Florida

For a while. I vote at my local precinct polling place. Maybe you could vote at yours too instead of by mail?

I am!

I was precinct captain 8 years

PCO is not an elected central committee seat.

I can bring my ballot to ONE polling station where the treasurer of my committee is the Inspector, and will accept my SIGNED ENVELOPE, OPEN IT IN FRONT OF ME and put it in a Box marked (ABV)

Now am I supposed to think she won't look at my ballot? We're dealing with people who lie, cheat and steal to win. So the game plan here is to beat them by doing the right thing and holding them to the oath they took to the constitution.

So show us where you are

So show us where you are required to vote for Mitt Romney, and where if you don't that you'll lose your seat. Hell, show us where you are even required to vote in order to have a seat. It should be very easy to prove us wrong if you are not lying.

Romney Does Not Support Fellow Republicans

Republicans expect a nominee to support their party, which is their method of maintaining their monopoly.

However, Romney has asked the Missouri Republican Senate candidate to step down. I read, subsequently, that the Republican Party has withdrawn their support for their Senate candidate in Missouri, who is currently a Republican Congressman.

Another example - Romney did not allow citizen elected delegates to be properly seated.

You cannot trust Romney to support duly elected Republican candidates. So why should any Republican candidate risk his own election by supporting a loser at the top of the ticket?

Romney can't win.

A vote for Romney is a vote for Obama.

In the contaminating shadow of ex-Cia Bob Barr, and with some trepidation, I'm probably going to vote for Gary Johnson.

Finally, some sense and courage from a GOP candidate.

Back in 1998, Fred Tuttle, the GOP candidate for the US Senate, endorsed HIS OPPONENT, incumbent Patrick Leahy; and the GOP did not retaliate against Mr. Tuttle. However, when a conservative endorses another conservative against a moderate, even if the conservative being endorsed is a member of the Republican Party, the GOP establishment retaliates. I had hope this would all end when Ronald Reagan won two landslide elections. However, RINO scum such as the Bushes and Romneys use their bankster connections to control the party.
So, it is certainly refreshing to see a candidate with the courage to endorse Gary Johnson. Of course, the next great step will be to make the Bushes and Romneys do "perp walks" before the public takes it into its own hands to deal with these RINO scum.

Thanks for the history lesson,

Another reason I love the Daily Paul!

It will be interesting to see if 1. the MSM picks this story up 2. if Debra is allowed to stay in the race and in the GOP and 3. if other GOP candidates follow - from what she told me it sounds like a real possibility!

I am!

The Press Will Probably Pick It Up If You Do Your Homework

Good luck - I assume that you are the candidate?

Post a good quality press release on one of the web PR services - some are free. Then send the release to every publication in the candidate's district. Then call each publication and broadcaster in the District to ask if they received the release. Finally, post the release on all relevant blogs.

I did this with a local candidate who endorsed two Libertarians, two Independents, and one Republican. It was picked up around the State, even though the District only covered about five percent (5%) of the State.
