Romney being sabotaged? We will take the blame. *Updated*

It doesn't take a political genius to see that the RNC in Tampa was a self-destructive disaster for the Romney campaign. In a tight election the LAST thing you want to do is antagonize and alienate swing voters. Ron Paul Republicans and independents are practically the definition of "swing voters".

But what is going on now is even more bizarre. Iowa is considered a swing state. Even though my county is 80%+ Republican, the Obama campaign has actually opened up a campaign headquarters in our little town. And he has another one 15 miles away in our county seat.

As the GOP county chair, I expected to be inundated with phone calls, emails, yard signs, buttons, and pamphlets from the Romney campaign after the convention. Instead I have gotten nothing but junk mail asking for donations.

As a well known Ron Paul supporter I have been bending over backwards to show that I am a loyal Republican. And I have been taking heat for not holding a central committee meeting (I had planned on distributing yard signs at the meeting).

My wife has been calling and even driving an hour to the nearest Romney headquarters in Council Bluffs asking for yard signs. They keep telling her that they are out of signs and don't know when they will get another shipment.

Today I heard from another liberty Republican that his county is having the same problem. In fact, one of his central committee members is still waiting for a sign that she purchased online. Are you kidding me? Romney's campaign has had ten times the money that Ron Paul had and they can't even get yard signs out?

This goes beyond incompetence.

Here is my theory. The insiders had been hoping for another Bush-style, RINO presidential administration to further their agenda and take the blame when the big crash happens. But with the resurgence of true conservative/libertarians in the GOP, I think they have changed their mind. I think they are more concerned about taking US out than any advantages they might enjoy from having a "Republican" president.

They are going to blame us for Romney's defeat. The lame articles pleading with us to vote for Romney are just an excuse to make us the scapegoat.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking anyone here to vote for Romney. It's bad enough that I have to. And I don't think it matters if you vote for Gary Johnson, Ron Paul, or just abstain from voting for president. That train has left the station.

But what DOES matter is winning as many hearts and minds in the Republican Party as we can; consolidating or improving our power within the GOP.

I think our enemies agree.
And I think they are setting Romney up to take one for the team.

What do you think?

======================= Update=====================
Just got this on my Facebook page from a liberty GOP state legislator--

If the Republican ticket loses in November, the rush by Mr. Ryan and other 2016 hopefuls to position themselves for the Iowa caucuses “is going to look like Best Buy the night after Thanksgiving,” said Craig Robinson, a former political director of the Republican Party of Iowa. “I hate to say this, but if Ryan wants to run for national office again, he’ll probably have to wash the stench of Romney off of him.”

Wow. Can you imagine the unleashed hell if I had said, "the stench of Romney"?

I sure can.

And I bet the insiders already have a list of "frontrunners" ready for the 2016 race.

Rubio, Christie, Santorum, Ryan, Huckabee, etc. are a few that come to mind.

The only thing I am sure of is that Senator Rand Paul isn't on that list.

Both Repubicans and Democrates are owned by the Bankers

They own both candidates and it is they who make the decisions as to who wins depending on whether they think the Republicans or Democrats are better suited to advance their agenda at any given time. It could very well be that the bankers have decided on Obama as the person to advance the banker controlled dictatorship.

What may have happened at Tampa (according to Joel Skousen of World affairs brief www.worldaffairsbrief.com) is that orders came down (from the bankers) to the "10 fat men" in the Republican Party to shaft as much as possible the Ron Paul people. This may be indicative of a decision by the bankers that they have chosen Obama for term #2 by splitting off the libertarian vote away from Romney into other channels.

It could also mean the bankers have yet to make up their mind as they thought Romney may get too strong too soon and they shafted the Paul people to keep Romney in closer balance so they can evaluate Romney a little bit longer before doing their behind the scenes "hocus-pocus" to push it one way or the other.

Now if what you say is happening in Iowa with the yard signs an all is indicative of what's happening across the U.S. in general then it very well may be that the bankers have made their decision to push Obama over the top.

Here's something to ponder:

There are things called honor and integrity...

Quite a few commentors are giving spacehabitats a hard time for being loyal to the Republican Party. I don't agree with this. If we are going to be a successful, we'll need all the help we can get from within the GOP. And many locals tend to agree with us, at least here in Texas. A lot of establishment Republicans are also actively against the rule changes and purging of RP delegates.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but sometimes people make promises to get elected. We moan and complain when they don't keep their promises. I assume to get elected the County GOP Chairmen in an 80% Republican county while openly supporting Ron Paul, that you would have to make a promise to your constituents that you will support the nominee. In Texas, several of our National Delegates had to promise to support the nominee when lobbying for votes to get support from GOP loyalists.

Also, many here are suggesting that working through the GOP is a lost cause, and I tend to agree, but it's still necessary and we shouldn't kill our own for working that route.

There are 3 ways to bring the change we all want, and all 3 are necessary. But one has proved most effective overtime. One, become a politician to bring about change. Two, work through the party process to lobby your representatives for the change you want. And three, civil disobedience which has proved to be most effective over time...think Rosa Parks, Gandhi, anti-slavery riots, etc.

Politicians will always reflect the will of the people, but the people have no will right now. Working through the party process affects politicians....civil disobedience affects the people. The people are the problem.

Inside the convention hall in Tampa there were maybe 15,000 to 20,000 people. Outside the convention hall there were about 300 million.

But we also need people inside and on stage...

nicely put

At least spacehabitats isn't pimpin' Romney.
He is a man of integrity.

Document everything in

Document everything in writing, emails, faxes etc. Phone calls are worthless unless you can legally record them and and that's a State law thing.

They will try and get rid of the RP people and blame them when it goes wrong. You have to, at least, have enough supporting documentation to prove you tried and other people failed.

Keep the faith !!!

Oh please God!

I hope we get the blame... I will dance on his campaign's grave, even though he was propped up to lose.

You see,

what drives you is emotion of revenge.

If Romney wins, what would you do? For people like you, whose emotions are above rational thinking, I suggest to vote for Obama, the proven fraud.

Those who think rationally do not entertain Obama, Romney, writing RP in and other emotions. They will vote for LP.

Romeny is...

the only one to blame for his campaign Sabotage.

The Libertarian Party, irrelevant since 1971.

I'm expecting the right to cop an ever worsening attitude

towards us. They are going to double down on their special brand of stupid, including blaming us. Expect it and welcome it. They have destroyed themselves over the years, but they are not going to take responsibility for it, despite all their noble talk of taking responsibility. If they were to actually do that then they would see their part in their own downfall, and in this country's downfall. They are not big enough to admit fault. Their egos will not allow it.

The same can be said for Democrats.

Our two party system is filled completely, from head to stern, with idiocy. It is so frustrating.

What do you mean by "The Right"?

We are the Right. If someone is for big government, they are left-wing, even if they claim to be conservative, Republican, etc. To be truly right-wing, you must support liberty. We're the real Right. The RINOs are imposters.

We will take credit for The GOP getting it's ass waxed. They deserve it. WE Ron Paul supporters will decide this election!

This table lists the top donors to this candidate in the 2012 election cycle. The organizations themselves did not donate , rather the money came from the organizations' PACs, their individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates.

Because of contribution limits, organizations that bundle together many individual contributions are often among the top donors to presidential candidates. These contributions can come from the organization's members or employees (and their families).

When it was time to chose the candidate THEY said Ron Paul has no support, all his supporters are hacking the online polls and he does not exist.
But now when we have moved to the Presidential Elections then it seems like we have all the numbers, huh !!! And we can destroy GOP.. Now those filthy pigs can play in their Own shit, no one is gonna help them now. NOT PAULITES anyways.. !! LOL.

Chair said no Romney signs in

Chair said no Romney signs in the U.P. Michigan either.

Sabotaged by US?! Heck, Romney is an ongoing TRAINWRECK!!!

No one to blame but Himself and his Establishment Minions...

This seems to be a common

This seems to be a common occurence throughout the country. I was told by a GOP town chairman yesterday that couldn't get any Romney items while in Michigan. Sio the County GOP spent money making their own Romney signs and are asking for donations to cover the cost of printing.

After a lot of thought.

I believe TPTB wanted Obama to win from the beginning. That's why they chose the most unelectable candidate in U.S history, because they wanted Obama to win. Romney is a scapegoat. He's been a scapegoat from the beginning and he probably knew he was a scapegoat. I mean, McCain beat Romney in 08' and Obama beat McCain. Who in their right state of mind would think, that the guy who got beat by the guy who lost to Obama, would stand a chance against Obama. This was a well thought election intent on discrediting the Liberty Movement. Just my opinion.

Not that simplistic

Nowadays, there are not so many candidates willing to expose their life to public. Some have mistresses, some have gay encounters. Some have bad loans or bad tax returns. Some have kids who are on drugs.

To find a married, well-educated, Christian, good family man with no skeleton in his closet who would appeal to modern America (that cares more about TV reality shows, gay bathhouses and beer) is not that easy.

GOP first choice was Texas governor. After he ruined himself, Romney had the second best backing from the establishment and donors.

That means they slipped.

Because Romney sucks. A lot of the "sheep" out there still wont catch on though, that's the unfortunate part.

Romney & Son Investigated for 8 Billion Ponzi Scheme

Mitt Romney and his son Tagg Romney have been implicated in a 8.5 billion dollar Ponzi scheme with Wall Street investors Allen Stanford and James M. Davis.

The pair are not cleared including their three partners in a court document verified, ongoing legal proceeding involving selling fraudulent CD’s to potential investors.

"Steal from the poor?"

How can you get rich by robbing people who have nothing to steal?

Freedom is my Worship Word!

Rental vouchers. Something called Section 8 Housing...

Robbing from the poor. Giving to the rich (reverse Robin Hood).

I will pass on a simple explanation. George R sought to push negro folk out of pleasant neighborhoods. Robbing them of their property rights. Squeezing them into poor neighborhoods. Extracting rent from those that might pay.

The rich increased their rental housing stock. Thus, increasing their rents.

Government subsidy covered the balance due. Meaning rental subsidies flow into the pockets of landlords as higher than market rent. It becomes cloudy when government holds 100% interest in government housing.

For further study, search: Irish rental housing potato famine

Sorry if this is not clear. It is not discussed in polite circles.

Lame

Counting money of others used to be a bad manner left to peasants, housewives and socialists.

If you are the party who had suffered, you can go to court to address the issue. Parroting hearsay from the media is sooo lame, especially your "steal from the poor."

As a reporter, I resembe that remark!

Point well taken.

Steal from the poor relates to vouchers that line the pockets of landlords when the rent is paid. Vouchers distort market price for rental housing. Privilege has its price. The taxpayers & poor pay.
