Study: Baby Boomers’ Health Very Poor, Getting Worse

(CBSDC) – The Baby Boomer generation’s overall health has been on a sharp decline.

Australian researchers from Adelaide’s three universities have completed the first stage of a report on the generation born between the end of the Second World War and the mid-1960s.

Obesity among baby boomers is more than double the rate of their parents at the same age, and boomers with three or more chronic conditions was 700 percent greater than the previous generation.

Exhibit A of why the Baby Boomers are the laziest, most entitled

generation ever. They've voted themselves all sorts of handouts from the public largesse, then refuse to even do the work to stay healthy while they're rolling in future generations' dough. Disgusting.

I don't play, I commission the league.

It is NO mystery why America is sicker than most

other nations in the world! The modern diet consists of foods that make the blood ACID. If you bathe your organs and cells in ACID blood for any length of time you will get SICK and die.

Your blood needs to be slightly ALKALINE in order for you to be healthy. The modern diet and medications make your blood ACID, and that is not NATURAL. The more ACID your blood the worse your health will be: obesity, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer. Even children are getting these illnesses! The upcoming generation is forecast to have the worst health and shortest lifespan.

There is not enough room here to educate you about what to eat to save your body from illness. Stop being a follower eating what everyone else is eating! It is not WHAT you eat that matters, but the effect on your blood pH, or acidity. You can eat a wide variety of stuff as long as it is balanced on the alkaline producing side. 80% alkaline foods and 20% acid.

Time to do the research and make some intelligent choices about food. Educate yourself and then educate others about what to do and eat. http://rense.com/1.mpicons/acidalka.htm

How many young adults have

How many young adults have moved back in with their baby boomer parents because they can't make it on their own.

Would someone like to explain

Would someone like to explain why the baby boom came about in the 1st place?

The "greatest" generation. The one that elected a socialist in the white house 4 times. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

The world is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good things is my religion. Thomas Paine, Godfather of the American Revolution

It's only fitting

That the most sheeplistic self-absorbed generation in human history suffer the result of their decadence. And I am not directly referring to morality.

A lot of these people are fat and don't even know it. Their sicknesses, they act like it was bad luck or an accident or worse: they are convinced it's part of getting older.

Those that realize they are fat or sick go into all the corporate-controlled platitudes and dead-ends for solutions: bad dieting and/or yet more meds.

But I am afraid of something.

Reading an account of how they ran Auschwitz, I learned that all of the clothes, shoes, baby clothes, and other items that were taken from the victims there were stockpiled, cataloged, and then distributed to the people. As Rudolph Vrba detailed, it was a big boost for the nazi government to send the German families - suffering somewhat themselves from the war and having the man of the house off to war - to send needed items (the loot) to these families.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Fatty McFatfat zombie baby boomer is not going to ask questions when they get that new healthy kidney or that liver or heart.

And the best source?

How about a Paulian who won't touch GMO and corporate food and medicine with a borrowed 10' pole?

Those reeducation camps are a lie. Reeducation camps are for when you want to straighten someone out so they won't be trouble when they get sent back to the farm or factory. Well, where are the factories? Farms? They got people streaming in for that and they are compliant.

So I am afraid that the "fix" is in. Big daddy government is going to give the big fat blithering idiot baby boomer that new organ, and it's going to be China style: the organs are going to come from dissidents. These boomers, already selling out every two seconds for every little thing that makes them feel either more comfortable or more safe, is not going to care about it.

Be ready to consider this and what you might have to do.

I can relate.. By a counter example.

Older people who tell me they started having weight issues at my age, or even before 42, on both sides of the Atlantic, have often wondered with almost amazement how I can be so thin after eating regularly 3000 to 4000+ calories meals, with a non physical job at all, office based, and how come my metabolism can burn calories so fast.

My doctor explained me that beyond few basic genetic predispositions, for a lot of it otherwise that merely comes from what you train your body with, by your very daily lifestyle. I go to the doctor almost exclusively for check ups every other year. The only thing I got a few times was your average rampant viruses and when "everybody else" was already sick too.

I never owned a car. I have always walked to my work and used public transports. I carry a 16 lbs bag with laptop and books and notepads and other mess every single work day. I have been doing this for 17 years of non stop work, walking probably 3 to 4 miles a day on average. Even on leisure time, I walk in cities or anywhere I can. And I smoke. Yet, I feel very good, if not great most of the time.

Jokingly, I often like to say that some really tough French cheeses and their bacterias must have contributed to reinforce my immune system ... maybe :) and here we are... last time we checked, my doc found no issues in my heart or blood pressure or sugar level or cholesterol, etc. Nothing. He only suggested me to stop smoking if I can.

After knowing that, people look at me like I'm crazy, and then don't ask any further. I guess they get their answer. Not quite the same as in the books they sell on working out, diets, and stuff.

And our children are taught we are a burden as we age

I am afraid of becoming ill as I age - I have a daughter who would rather see me in my grave than have to spend one minute caring for me. She signed her "organ donor" card but stipulated that no one over 40 should be given her organs. When I said "I am over 40" she acted a little surprised, and said "Well you could have them, Mom." Never mind that 1. I would rather not outlive her
2. After she is dead, she cannot go back and change what she said on her card.
3. I am not sure she has all of her organs to donate, I have seen no evidence of a heart in many years now.

What do you expect

when everything is full of steroids, antibiotics, GMO's high fructose, pink slime, and loads of pesticides? Probably breathing aluminum and no telling what in the air and everyone I see is sitting on their fat butts with fastfood in one hand and a cell phone in the other. There is an article out about how cell phones and wifi cause bleeding in the blood brain barrier too.

skippy

Forgot to Mention

All the freaking meds they keep us all on, fluoride and no telling what in the drinking water (and bottled water too, go water FLOW For The Love of Water)and the fact that we spend too much time sitting at desks or in front of TV's and don't do anything that requires energy. We are starving thanks to the lack of nutritional value in the junk we eat and then they shove energy drinks etc on us to make up for it!

skippy

I'm sure the U. S. Surgeon General, Bemjamin, is all over it

and we'll have the solution in no time - and it will blow us away - just like her solution to the problem of suicides in the country literally blew [some of] us away! (said with dripping sarcasm)

US Govt Suicide Initiative Ignores Suicide-Linked Drugs
http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL1209/S00111/us-govt-suicide...

(The article starts out with a hell-of-an illustration I wish I could embed with an appropriate caption to deal with lab animals, obesity drugs and GMO diets.) This great piece of journalism then starts out by saying: "It would be laughable if it weren't tragic."

I think any 'plan/solution' that doesn't include Big Govt's, BigPharma's and Big Ag's contributions to all health problems is the same as: "...a plan to stem the nation's growing suicide rate without addressing the nation's growing use of suicide-linked drugs. Nuts on the face of it. And tragic, because I've read way too many articles and books demonstrating the turn-around of so many illnesses simply by changing ones diet.

Clearly, the Australian researchers from Adelaide’s three universities could have saved millions in tax-payer's dollars if they'd just read the Daily Paul.

Thank you for posting this.

These drugs nearly killed me, and I am still labelled "crazy" because of what they did to me.
Since no doctor gives a damn about my health, I can only take educated guesses (education gained the hard way) about what goes wrong, but it seems to me they alter the "fight or flight" response by disruption of the adrenal gland. Along with constant suicidal thoughts, my life-long tubby self started losing weight uncontrollably. (Of course, complaining about that led to suspicions that I was anorexic. Because if I describe a symptom, and the doctor parrots it back in Latin, NOW it is a diagnosis....)
I actually had a PhD in Psych tell me that he did know about the black box warning, he did know that recent studies showed that the suicide issue was just as bad among adults as among teens, but he just could not believe that I was adversely affected by the drugs.
The really big problem here is not the suicidal thoughts, it is the homicidal ones. Lots of folks are like me, and the drug turns us into mental self-cannibals, but the drug turns other people into stalkers. Visit ssristories.com just to support their site. When I KNEW the drug was warping my brain, I had everyone, including my "counselor" and family was telling me I had just "gone insane." That website saved my life.

I'll take a look at ssristories.com -you made me realize I left 2 major culprits out of the equation in our health woes... BigMed and BigHealtth Insurance. Throw in a little Fed and you have the Oligarchy.

This whole comment thread...

This whole comment thread, and not one mention of Tom Naughton, Mark Sisson, Joseph Mercola, Gary Taubes, Karen DeCoster, Rob Wolf, Joel Salatin, the "Fad Head" movie, Primal Blueprint, Paleo Lifestyle, etc etc...

Better health, especially in terms of obesity and related conditions, is right there in front of us... we just need to know what to look for.

you left out the most important part

Exercise! Physical movement!

“The welfare of the people in particular has always been the alibi of tyrants.” — Albert Camus

It's all the CORPORATE food~~

and, the younger generation better watch out for all the fast food, too!

Exercise will help, but it doesn't remove fat. Only eating healthy food will do that and cutting out the bad food, the white food!

If any of you

... miss that feeling the first time you "woke up" to RP's libertarian philosophy, I strongly encourage you to check out the list above. You will no doubt experience a second "waking", this time realising that almost everything you've been told by "experts" about nutrition is either partially or completely fabricated.

The documentary "Fat Head" is a particularly painless introduction to the science which backs up the grain-free, low-carb movement. It will hopefully resurrect the "common sense" we used to have before government decided to tell us what to eat in the 70s and 80s. You know, before obesity and diabetes were gigantic problems.

You can find Fat Head on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs

Or watch it on NetFlix.

hence

Socialized medicine.

Looks like the doctors did a number on themselves. And I thought they were smart lmao

....perhaps just apathetic in their defense of their myopic thinking...at least they were good at obeying...must be due to their overall physical weaknesses ;)

I sometimes wonder if it all

I sometimes wonder if it all does not just come down to two things;

#1. Fast Food.
#2. Lack of Exercise.

Those two things promote obesity. But the effects of fast food on our system is probably incalculable. Obesity is the result, not the cause. Please try to understand this.

Well, let us see. An obstetition missed an umbilical hernia...

that was not discovered until I was 61 years old. That caused an esophageal ulcer which has caused lifelong respiratory and digestive problems (not to mention, eventual esophageal cancer). Then a pediatrician missed a 6mm difference between right and left legs, which was not discovered until I was 52. That caused four herniated disks and inoperable arthritis in the lower back and hip. Finally, a ER doctor missed compressed disks in my neck which resulted in total degeneration of the disks and damage to the thyroid and parathyroid glands. Also, everyone born in the last 50 years is eating a hybrid wheat with an enzyme that causes us to eat about 400 calories A DAY more than those who did not consume the hybrid wheat. So, here I am, 63 years old and disabled because of the laziness or stupidity of doctors and the greed of agribusiness; and I am pretty characteristic of my generation of "baby boomers".

Resist the temptation to feed the trolls.

Every generation living the American lifestyle is

in terrible health. That includes children! They are also being given more vaccinations than any prior generation! The young ones coming up are in most danger because now most foods are and will be GMO. The younger generations are the ones most at risk!

The modern diet consists of foods that make the blood ACID. If you bathe your organs and cells in acid blood for any length of time you will get SICK.

The baby boomers are getting diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer. Unfortunately, the younger generations, including children, are getting the same diseases! Time to do the research and make some intelligent choices about food. Educate yourself and then educate others about what to do and eat. http://rense.com/1.mpicons/acidalka.htm

The reason for the mess the world is in goes back to about 1910 when the FED and other central BANKS started taking over governments. Now that is long before any of us were born!

Stop the foolish blame game. No generation is to blame. We have all been enslaved by the elite oligarchy of the world who are interested only in acquiring wealth and reducing the global population. They want the planet as their playground, and the few they allow to live to be their servants.

Well dah!

Young and old are in poor health, maybe it is all the crap they have injected in us and the crap they dump in the air and food.

They don't have to worry the elite is planning a huge blood sacrifice
soon that will eliminate most of the population. (sarc)

"We can see with our eyes, hear with our ears and feel with our touch, but we understand with our hearts."

And all of us in "Gen X" and

And all of us in "Gen X" and "Gen Y" (in other words, those following the Baby Boomers) will be tasked with taking care of their generation via increased taxes. The next twenty years are going to be dire in the US.

People are voting down my

People are voting down my comment? We're talking about reality here, folks. Face it.

Hint

I think the deal is that the word used is "their" generation, as if "they" are the problem. You are talking about me when you use the word Boomer and as far as I can tell I am not going to cost you anything. The Legal Criminals are stealing the wealth of this country and they will steal yours too regardless of whether the boomers are around or not. The fact that you think you are going to pay for us is a slap in the face. Do you not know that we work 4 hours a day out of an 8 hour day to pay taxes and federal regulations. The fact that you would cast out any segment of the American population as being guilty other than those who are truly guilty is what is very concerning to me. The Boomers have paid for their retirement over and over and over again with money that was worth more than it is worth today and you are bemoaning having to take care of the boomers? I would be happy to have 100% of my income and take care of myself and you can have yours and take care of yourself. That is not the system we are in. Some idiots long before us voted in SS...a scam in progress. We are in a socialist system and that is the problem. Money is stolen and used for the benefit of the Legal Criminals and if that isn't good enough, well then, they will just print some more. I am a Friend of Liberty, not a stealing boomer. If you marginalize the boomers you will be marginalized by the next generation. What makes you think the Gen X and Gen Y generations will stick together? How about if the Boomers claim Gen Xers and leave the Gen Yers out? No, we are all Americans, so we all need to stick together and liberate ourselves from this tangled mess.

We're not talking about

We're not talking about generational bias, or individual oppression... we're talking about trends. And the trends are a fact. Fact.

If you happen to identify as a "Baby Boomer" or as Gen-X or -Y, then you'll recognize how these trends are shaping up. It is a plain fact that Baby Boomers outnumber the younger generations. It is a fact that Boomers are politically and economically advantaged compared to younger generations. It is also a fact that they will age before the younger generations and they will require care from the younger generations, that is, unless they are all cared for using robot labor. I don't know yet. It's too early.

However, it is also a fact that Boomers have a terribly spotty track record as far as savings go and it is a fact that the Social Security system is teetering on bankruptcy. It is largely unfunded.
