Gov. Johnson and the next 48 hours

He's got a SERIOUS case under the Clayton Anti-trust act against the Comission on Presidential debates as many of you know. The first debate is Wednesday.

What nobody's saying: The first debate may not even happen; there might be three people on the stage.

The CPD is a 501-C 3 Non-profit. The 3 sponsors who have dropped out did so IN RESPONSE TO ANGRY E-MAILS. Who are the other sponors? Let's spam the fvck out of them. It's very productive trolling if you ask me.

I called Anheuser-Busch

The gentleman who received the call was very nice. I told Anheuser-Busch representative that I, as a former employee, would no longer buy their products and I would not visit their theme parks until it has dropped it sponsorship of the Commission on Presidential Debates.

Sherman Anti-Trust Act

Gouged the consumers and was passed on behalf of producers as a protectionist measure. It would be preferable if he could sue them on some other grounds. Though I would love to see the Republican and Democrat parties suffer.

It is legitimate to sue the CPD, Romney, and Obama

under the Sherman Anti-Trust act from a libertarian standpoint. How you say, since we are libertarians and oppose that law? Simple -- the Dems and Reps of the CPD, Romney and Obama, believe that the law is just, therefore, BY THEIR OWN STANDARDS, the law does not coerce them.

I was having this same discussion with a Democratic friend of mine in regard to a threat by Karl Hess (libertarian and former Barry Goldwater speechwriter) to sue Edith Efron for defamation for labeling Hess a "Maoist" in print. Hess did not agree that people have an inherent right to a "reputation" and therefore opposed libel and slander laws. But Efron DID believe in them, therefore he was perfectly justified in holding her accountable by threatening to, in his words, "Seek redress in a court of law."

Vote Sam Adams

I just sent this message to Anheuser Busch through their websites:

http://contactus.anheuser-busch.com/contactus/public/age-gat...

A funny thought I had, Anheuser Busch requires you to tell them your favorite beer so of course I answered Samuel Adams (because it is one of my favorites and also because of the Revolutionary spirit of the better of the Adams family!) I doubt there would be time to get everyone to participate, but I think of the impact it would have if everyone sent a message through their site, and followed it up by choosing Samuel Adams as your favorite beer. A cyber beer party if you will. Maybe I should have stopped at two....

"I will no longer drink AB products and encourage others I know to do the same because of AB's policy to support strictly bipartisan politics. Your beer is a bit watered down for my taste as well. The ethical thing for AB to do would be to drop sponsorship of the Commission on Presidential Debates unless they allow Gary Johnson to participate. Why AB would agree to sponsor such an exclusionary body is beyond my comprehension. Have a nice day."

Count me in as well. I sent this to AB.

I am very disappointed in AB's plan to sponsor the upcoming presidential debates as currently arranged by the Commission on Presidential Debates . A viable candidate, Gary Johnson, has unfairly been denied participation. Ironically, if Gary Johnson is allowed to participate, the ratings for the debates would undoubtedly increase, thereby markedly increasing your exposure. Furthermore, I am sure that AB supports a free and open debate of issues vital to our nation. The ethical thing for AB to do would be to drop sponsorship of the Commission on Presidential Debates unless they allow Gary Johnson to participate.

Magna est veritas, et prevalebit. Truth is most powerful, and will ultimately prevail.

Funny, I just saw a poll on that this weekend.

CNN had it on:
Most Dems drink Heineken
Most Independents drink Dos Equis
Most Conservatives drink Sam Adams.

No libertarian sampling? :]

I prefer a Shiner or Yuengling. Unfortunately, the latter sold distribution rights to Anheuser recently to introduce their product westward. "America's Oldest Brewery" selling out to the "Great American Lager" which is owned by a Dutch company. Ironic eh? Another fun fact: Lynchburg, TN is dry, along with the TX Panhandle.

"The rich man writes the book of laws the poor man must defend, but the highest laws are written on the hearts of honest men."

OMG, I miss Shiner!

When I lived in Texas, that's all I would drink. Now I have a serious craving. I am gonna have to hunt some down tomorrow.

Remember how to phrase it

so that it MATTERS to the sponsors...It's not about Gary Johnson...
It's about BAD PR FOR SPONSORING A PARTISAN ENTITY WHICH IS UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR ANTI-TRUST AND TAX CODE VIOLATIONS. Remember what corporate bottom line is, my patriots, it's PR image, not "Gary Johnson".
