New Hampshire Republicans Defy the Establishment

The New Hampshire Republican Convention was held over the weekend, and a resolution rebuking the national GOP for the rules changes in Tampa was passed. This is amazing. Read the text of the resolution:

"Yesterday, the, the New Hampshire Republican Party, after an afternoon of spirited floor fights, voted to accept a new State Party Platform after 20 proposed amendments were debated. However, the most remarkable event was yet to come. In the closing minutes of the Convention, the GOP delegates passed the following Resolution by an overwhelming voice vote in a sharp rebuke to the national GOP:

Whereas, the new party rules at the Republican National Convention in Tampa were adopted under questionable circumstances with disregard for convention rules;

Whereas, the new rules impose a top-down structure of governance in place of the party's traditional bottom-up structure and reduce the power and autonomy of state and local party organizations;

Whereas, the changes to Rule 12 give unprecedented power to the national committee to change party rules without the input and approval of state parties and their members;

Whereas, it is to benefit of the New Hampshire Republican Party that First in the Nation rules not be open to change between conventions;

Therefore, be it resolved that:

We condemn Rule 12 as antithetical to Republican values and assert the primacy of the delegates to the Republican Convention in setting party rules;

We reject the new top-down structure of governance as detrimental to the long-term success of the Republican Party.

It seems the "First in the Nation" State Republican Party has taken a courageous (and possibly unprecedented) step to reclaim the GOP for the grass roots. The vote, which some observers believe may have been as many as 90 percent of those present, reflects the growing influence of the Republican Liberty movement in New Hampshire. It is sure to spark controversy and healthy discussion. I wonder if other States will soon follow suit?"

I *SO* want to move to NH

I'm working on a plan - hopefully within 5 years I can move there, unless we all fall into the financial abyss before that

RP R3VOLution

Now this is what I like to hear!!

Can't wait to move to NH. :]

Now watch the RNC work to

Now watch the RNC work to remove NH as "first in the nation" before 2016... The war is on. How many battles bedraggled Washington before the tide turned? Way to lead the charge NH!!! Live Free or Die.

Please enjoy a little music with your revolution.
Bill Morrissey NH's best!

Everyday this new stuff

Everyday this new stuff happens in NH I get closer and closer to packing my bags and move to NH.

Please Do

Lived here just about all my life. We can always use another active Liberty Lover to keep the statists in check.

Do it!

I moved here in the spring and while it's a bit...well, boring (do NOT move here unless you have a vehicle!), you're pretty much free to do what you want, especially if you live in one of NH's numerous 'middle-of-nowhere' towns.

A signature used to be here!

They'll do anything to get you to vote for Mittens

A resolution, you say? WOW, now we have them where we want them!

TREASON. That is what happened at the RNC in 2008, and again in 2012, and probably LONG before those but those are the ones where I paid attention. When someone GOP committee demands GWB and Cheney be tried for treason, I'll believe they are trying to stand for the Republic.
If I have to listen to one more vote-pimper tell me "ANYONE is better than Obama" I may just explode. I cannot see one meaningful difference between Clinton, Bush, Obama or Mittens. They actually are in a twist about "Obamacare" and if you point out that it was Romneycare before it was Obamacare, you can watch a full grown human be reduced to a snarling, drooling, babbling idiot.

They're surprisingly tasty BTW

I tried one that was 3 days old just to see what the flavor was like and it's pretty good.

Thanks for those initial videos.

Great News

Congratulations. CA convention was two weeks before Tampa, so we will have a few months to go before we have another State convention, However, on my committee we voted down 2 resolutions from the state, and when the chair came back next month to appeal one, it was firmly shot down again. So we are fighting back, and I congratulate and appreciate the stand against what happened at the RNC with what is NH GOP rule 12.. I'm sure CA is also going to have simular blowback.

Spacehabits made a post about "How can I get you to vote Romney".. and I made the suggestion there, that the committees need to take responsibilty for what happened at the RNC and change.. Your post here makes my point. THANK YOU and can't give you CONGRATULATIONS enough!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Was there

My first Convention. Loved the resolution, dunno what good it will do though.

What I believe it will do is this...

All of us here know the system has been corrupted. We just need others to wake up and see it too. So as long as we keep fighting the machine (as fruitless as it may appear), the more blatant their fraudulent schemes become while fighting back. Then the people will understand what side of "right" they're on.

I do believe this is what Gandhi meant in his famous quote about "fighting" being the last stage before winning. Not sure. But that's exactly the way it happened.

Stay strong my friend.

If men are good, you don't need government; if men are evil or ambivalent, you don't dare have one.

Will do.

Should have went one step further

and offered a resolution to not send any delegates to the next national convention unless the rule is repealed.

That would not have passed

But it is a great thought.

If I didn't already have plans to move to another state

firmly intact, I'd pack my shit and move to NH. They are fast becoming my favorite for Freedom.

My family and I have

My family and I have seriously considered this as well.

I know someone that wants to move as well.

I'm trying to urge the person to do it. If things keep progressing there.. I don't know.. it could be the state to go to. All we need is a state like that to thrive under Liberty for the nation to see and we might get other states to jump on the Liberty bandwagon too.

I said awhile back that going after smaller states would be a quicker way of "taking over".

Hell many states are seemingly adopting nullification attitudes, not to NH's degree but still something to look at.

Of course we still have a long way to go but it's nice to see us making a little headway.

Come on down to NH!

We will be the nullification state in 2013. We have great Haddock too.

Nullification state.

What do you mean Nullification State?

Jury nullification, most

Jury nullification, most likely: http://www.policymic.com/articles/10603/jury-nullification-i... , which was recently used to refuse to convict a defendant in a marijuana case.

We here in Texas could and should learn a few lessons from other states!

If Obama wins, this is the way it will unfold

in my opinion. Getting a Republican governor is critical. That is why it is critical that liberty lovers in NH vote for Ovid Lamontagne, who is a great guy and a solid conservative.

There will be tremendous pressure to accept the Medicaid expansion and a host of other federal mandates. New Hampshire, being New Hampshire, will resist them. Our legislature is staunchly conservative and bold. That will set up a power play with Washington that other states will be emboldened to join.

Also, NH passed a jury nullification law this year. Symbolically, that also gives NH the moral authority to nullify bad federal laws. We will.

Come to NH and join the battle for freedom.

By the way, if Romney wins, none of this will unfold. We will get mushy compromise after compromise and a lot of people will simply be happy to have a seat at the Washington table. Bad deal there.

Why not support this guy.

Liberty strategy in New Hampshire

I was at the Republican Convention in NH as a delegate. A week prior I had been rebuked by my local party people for coming out publicly for Gary Johnson because they believe my support for Johnson could contribute to a Romney loss in New Hampshire. Party groupthink is real. Some of them will undoubtedly read this note. My local delegate counterparts avoided me at the convention.

I spoke to a number of liberty Republicans in attendance from around the state who are quietly not voting for Romney but are running in close races (and perhaps receiving campaign money from Republican single-issue groups) and do not want to come out publicly for Johnson like I did. I have a long-shot campaign as it were. There are three times as many Democrats in my district as Republicans.

The Republican Liberty Caucus that sponsored the aforementioned resolution, supports all Republicans in the general election because they believe Republicans are better than Democrats and it gives them a House majority. That makes sense to me at the state level. It gives liberty a voice in the legislature and keeps the Progressives at bay. The RLCNH works to expose RINO's before the Primaries.

My strategy is to strongly support state and Congressional Republicans, and especially a Republican gubernatorial candidate who we will need in place to resist federal mandates that will undoubtedly come from either Obama or Romney. Support Gary Johnson for President with the understanding that a likely Obama win will galvanize the liberty grass roots who will rise in opposition to Obama in 2013. Vote Republican local and Libertarian national. We send a message that we expect our national Republicans to come our way while at the same time we solidify our liberty base at home. The revolution continues.

Dump Romney

I will not vote for the choise of the elite,such as Reince Pribus,Benjamin Ginsburg, Jim Rapp John Boehner or any that bow to the AIPAB,mandate's to put foreign interests first and not the American people.

The revolution continues.

Indeed it does.
Can't wait to see Ovide in action :P

Here we go

The real power struggle is just beginning folks..

President Paul is my President!

Just posted this article to my county executive comitee page

Time to look at the example set by NH and reclaim our state party rights.
