Presidential Debate 2012: Gary Johnson Support Grows
Submitted by legalizeliberty on Tue, 10/02/2012 - 19:26Both President Barack Obama and Republican presidential nominee are gearing up for their first presidential debate showdown in Denver on Wednesday, but there is one man who will not be participating in the prime-time television debate: libertarian candidate Gary Johnson. That decision has angered some Gary Johnson supporters so much that at least two of the original sponsors of the 2012 presidential debates have decided to pull their support.
Philips Electronics and the women's organization YWCA have dropped their sponsorship, after they got flooded with letters from Gary Johnson supporters and the watchdog groups Open Debates and Help the Comission. According to US News, the non-profit which runs the presidential debates, the Commission on Presidential Debates, relies heavily on sponsors, so the decision by Philips Electronics and YWCA is likely to make a real impact.

It's a shame
that Gary didn't get started on this a lot sooner! (or the libertarian party) I think he waited out of respect for Ron. Well he does have the next 4 years to make a lot of headway.
I wish I could say I believed he could be in the debates or win this year. He still has my vote and support.

His campaign slogan could've just as easily been, "Elect me because I'm not Barack Obama". People see through his weather vane approach though. And when you think about what he really is planning to do - attack Iran (based on his hiring all of Dubya's neocon foreign policy advisers) and bailout banks, he's every bit as much of a disaster as Obama will be.

The truth hurts
I'm telling you the truth if like the majority of Americans you'd rather be lied to listen to MSM. Johnson will not be in tonight's debate, will not carry any states and nation wide will get a low single digit % of the vote.

It really says something about the control the two major parties have on the commission that, even after advertisers pull out, they still won't allow Johnson to debate. Guess we gotta keep working at it, till they're destroyed.
This should be our focus going forward. I wish a leftist 3rd party candidate were running so we could unite forces against the two major parties.

They are on 37 ballots and DC and still working on 6. SOme are being litigated. She is running as a write-in in 5 more. So that leaves 2 will she won't be on the ballot at all: Oklahoma and Nevada.
