I'd vote for Gary Johnson in 2016
If we all work together and vote Gary Johnson in 2012, it advances the Liberty Movement forward for 2014 and 2016.
Maybe Rand will run in 2016, maybe not. Maybe the neocons of the GOP will get a clue and start adopting pro-Liberty policies, maybe not.
I'm open to voting for Rand Paul in 2016, but he does not have the experience that Gary Johnson does. At this point, I think Gary Johnson would make a better president than Rand Paul.
But it all depends on how the Ron Paul Republicans vote in 2012. If they vote as a block for Johnson, and the Libertarian party gets over 5% of the vote, it really helps our movement and gives us many more options in 2016. If the 2012 Liberty vote is fractured, with some writing in Ron Paul, others abstaining, and others voting for Johnson, it will set us back and not give us as many options in 2016.
Ron Paul is my president. I am a Ron Paul Republican.
If he does, he will split the support for Rand 2016
Ugh. Gitmo Gary needs to give it up already. He can't win.
“It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till." -J.R.R. Tolkien
Funny
Replace Gitmo Gary with Ron Paul and that's exactly what I heard repeatedly from the anti-Paul crowd during the primaries.
That is his intentions
we are to be grateful.. he keeps those who ae unwilling to work on silutions remind us what the problem is.
STAND WITH RAND 2016
As a what?
Libertarian or Republican?
It would be nice if Dr. Paul gave us any indication of running or not in 2016. But actually, I think it's too early to announce anything. I mean, Gary Johnson is admitting that he will lose here before the fight even begun. He should've said this later.

Word to the wise... Even if you win this year, you still have to run again in 2016 (unless you're Barack Obama).

On Leno, Ron Paul said he
On Leno, Ron Paul said he needed to get ready for 2016. It wasn't clear whether he was joking, though.
And no, saying you will run in 2016 is not an admission to having lost, although Gary Johnson probably harbors no illusions that he can win, if he did, he would still run in 2016.
I Think He Was Joking
But soon after Doug Wead suggested that, if Romney wins this year, Dr. Paul might run against him in the 2016 primary, a la Ted Kennedy 1980.

I can't imagine why in the world he would joke about that.
Because He Was On A Comedy Show
But hey, I'll be as happy as anyone if he does run again in 2016.

I'll vote for Gary now and
I'll vote for Gary now and probably again in 2016, because I'm not seeing anyone else taking up the liberty mantle like Gary has.

I'm seeing too many trying.
I'm seeing too many trying. As of now we've got Jesse Ventura, Johnson, and Paul all alluding to running in 2016.
But I don't think Paul is realistic as age would become a political issue if not a real health issue. Ventura worries me as being seen as too "out there".
It might be the perfect ticket though. Johnson/Ventura, with Ron Paul campaigning for them.
Haha. Man can dream right?
If the liberty candidates
I get to choose from in 2016 are Gary Johnson and Rand Paul...Then I'm probably going with Governor Johnson (Senator Paul, you have four years to get back in my good graces but it's not going to be easy). If Jesse Ventura is involved then he has my vote. How about Ventura/Johnson '16 on the Libertarian ticket or as Independents?
just like gary still has to earn a dime
from the 2k i gave to ron and rand combined?
Rand has killer voting
Rand has killer voting record... not sure what your grievances are with Rand regarding his voting regard and his actions on the Senate floor.
