I homeschooled all 6 of my children,

and of the 21 grandchildren we have, 17 are now being homeschooled, and most of the ones too young probably will be too. All my children are for Ron Paul, and the grandchildren too.

That is awesome....

Give education instead of indoctrination and great things can happen.

I did, mine are grown up now

It is so apparent today

that it is not necessary to have someone as witty as Carlin point it out.

Our homeschooled daughter attends the state college...it is SO apparent and quite disturbing to realize the dearth of knowledge and moral fortitude embodied in this next genertion.

But they can create awesome facebook pages and text like there's no tomorrow. Quite talented.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.

To answer your question:

No, not mad. I completely distrust the public school system, and I wish that more of my friends and relatives would choose to either home or private school their kids, but I'm more inclined to feel sad than mad.

It's funny how the indoctrination didn't work too well on me, even though I wasn't aware of it. The parts of school I remember best were the moments that support the liberty movement. I never complained about the schooling and was the perfectly obedient straight A student, but later when I had my own child and then learned about homeschooling, I immediately knew that this was what I was going to do, no questions asked. I knew my education didn't prepare me for work, that I retained more of what I taught myself after school and college, and, like I said, I remembered best the professors that encouraged actual thought instead of blind repeating of what the teacher wanted.

I was probably just lucky, I'm certain. I was deemed worthy of the A-roll early on, so the teachers automatically liked me. But I'm not putting my children in that environment.

Well said. Home schooling is a good option.
