Accountability

That's what I'm attempting to do, Granger--hold these tools accountable, point out their hypocrisy and shine the light on the truth. People are being continuously distracted by the small differences when those differences are no substitute for distinction. I don't understand why that doesn't carry enough weight with you to cause you to junk your decision to vote Romney, especially as a Ron Paul supporter.

"The rich man writes the book of laws the poor man must defend, but the highest laws are written on the hearts of honest men."

How are you going to do that?

I'm going to hold these tools in the GOP accountable to the constitution with my GOP committee seat.

This race is between Obama and Romney. I want Obama out. Romney is the only one who can do that at this point.

I have a two year committment and I intend to spend my two years holding the GOP tools accountable to the loyalty oaths they took to the constitution. That is the plan Ron Paul laid out for us, so that's what I'm going to do. It's doable.

I think it would be wonderful if ALL Ron Paul supporters began showing up at committee and council meetings, just as guests, and helped us hold the tools accountable.

Government is run by committees, and showing up is how we get the job done.

Now if you think you have a better plan.. I'm all eyes.

I've come to a realization

I don't think there is much further you and I can go concerning this topic without hitting a wall. I'll say my peace, and you feel free to take the last word in order to maintain civility.

I don't criticize you for the seriousness of your intentions; I simply think we have different goals and, more than likely, different philosophical views altogether, however that perception could only be confirmed or discounted through actual discussion on the matter.

I became a Paul guy in '07. I wrote him in on an absentee ballot while I was deployed to Iraq in '08. I plan on writing him again because [the] Johnson doesn't do it for me (there's a joke in there somewhere). But these parties don't mean a thing to me. I don't get a warm and fuzzy when I think of being a Ron Paul republiCAN (personally, I consider that collectivist mindfunking), but to each their own.

I was in Tampa for the week of the convention and spent every day on the street talking to folks, giving interviews, fraternizing with Occupiers, filming the police state, marching and holding signs. I also had the pleasure of hanging with delegates at Whiskey Joe's and the pizza joint near the port. Folks are different. Some are remaining in the party, while others are going Libertarian, and more than a few claim to be done with national politics. I can empathize with all of them. However, after all that's happened, it seems to me that you value your committee seat more than the message. Will you help me understand why or clarify if that is not the case?

Again, feel free to take the last word.

"The rich man writes the book of laws the poor man must defend, but the highest laws are written on the hearts of honest men."

My last word to you

I sure hope you get off the street and into a committee seat and join me and RP CANs in helping the GOP find it's way restoring America to constitutional government. The committee seat is a small way to do that, that is effective in that it is a small part of the establishment that has some power in local politics, as the paper publishes you letters, where without the elected seat, they don't. Your voice gets heard.

I enjoy my committee, especially because I am not alone, and Ron Paul's message is so great. It's a wonderful feeling to be able to bring Ron Paul's points to the table when we discuss issues. I enjoy GOP events, knowing I'm going to meet another Ron Paul Republican who is stronger than me on some issues and I learn.
I talk about the committee because my feeling is, if I can do this, so can you. If I'm enjoying this, more than Meet up, why wouldn't you?

Your experience would make you a VALUABLE committee member. The fact you searved, those who served Nam would LISTEN to you. We need people like you. I encourage you to join us on a committee.. it's not about Romney.. it's about us taking this party to restore America. The RNC woke up many of these people who didn't like Ron Paul.. but really don't like what they saw happen at the RNC.

I hope this is not our final words to each other. I admire and respect your grassroots work and hope you get off the street and take a seat. YOU would be a huge asset to the rEVOLution inside the GOP.

Honest debate is good

It would help also if the moderator didn't ask such stupid questions. Did he ask about the Fed? Were there actually any questions of consequence or was it all just fluff? I watched the whole thing but I have apparently blocked it all.

And how embarrassing for Obama to have his butt served to him by such a statist as Romney lol

No mention of the Fed from my recollection

You would think, being that auditing the Fed is included in his party's platform, he would have made some reference to it during the economy segment. Nevermind, this is Romney we're talking about, my mistake. I know Ron Paul would've mentioned it in his opening statement and probably would have made it the centerpiece of the economic discussion.

"The rich man writes the book of laws the poor man must defend, but the highest laws are written on the hearts of honest men."

No but it sure in the HELL should be a third Party Debate if

this is still America! We will ALL have to see to it come election year 2016... ( :

Ron has already said in

Ron has already said in multiple interviews that we really only have one party. It's a theme throughout his books as well.

It is all scripted... Tonight

It is all scripted... Tonight was Mitt's big night... From now to the election is Obama's....

Great prediction!

Although you've ruined the suspense for me. At least WWF wrestling is still real.

Currently consuming: Morehouse's "Better off free", FDR; Wii U; NEP Football

I didn't here one new

I didn't here one new idea. They just repeated the same message they have been spewing for months. It was boring. It was like listening to a two hour debate on which is better, coke or pepsi.

Romney saying he was going to put medicade to the states

and he would keep SS in place was news to me..

Closing remarks

Obama is debating Bush
Romney is debating Obama
Obama got 5 extra minutes over Romney
Romney won.

Tricked

.

What did Romney win?

They agreed on every single topic, outside of small differences in detail.

Ill walk away with this debate with a sick feeling in my stomach I think any Ron Paul supporter should understand.

Tu ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito

They did not agree

Ron paul RepubliCANs are in this fight in the GOP, the resy are going to be looking for someone else to body surf.

I missed the last half of the debate...

...after my commute. Did either of them mention the Federal Reserve at all? If they didn't mention it in a debate about the economy, then what's the point? Tinkering around the margins isn't going to resolve the root problem, isn't going to rid us of the cancer that's been growing over the last hundred years.

Neither of them mentioned the Fed

It appears both of them were there for the fed.. and it looks like the fed is dumping Obama and choosing Romney..

Still, I think it's up to us who are seated on GOP central committees to get Romney to go after the fed.. he's not going to pass the butter for his bread, after all.

Romney was duscussing the

Romney was duscussing the Dodd Frank Bill & the moderator (or man behind the iron curtain directing him) cut him off when he was just getting started talking about the need for transparency & how he did not support "too big to fail" banks.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. - Matthew 10:16

Are we talking about the same mitt Romney?

"Well, I frankly wish that the last Congress (had) dealt with the stimulus issue and that the president could have signed that before leaving office. I think there is need for economic stimulus. Americans have lost about $11 trillion in net worth. That translates into about $400 billion a year less spending that they'll be doing, and that's net of additional government programs like Medicaid and unemployment insurance. And government can help make that up in a very difficult time. And that's one of the reasons why I think a stimulus program is needed."

-Mitt

Tu ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito

The problem with Romney...

...is that many conservatives will be lulled back to sleep like they were in the Bush years and be giving him a pass on all the progressive, government-expanding things he'll end up doing. This will make our job as members of the local GOP organizations that much tougher, with folks having their defenses down after Obama leaves.

I can really see that Romney would end up being more dangerous than Obama, simply because We the People will be more asleep and not be doing our job. I can just see all the starry-eyed Republicans oohing and aahing over the Romney inauguration and going into knee-jerk defense of the R simply because he's not the D.

Except

We have a mission, and that's restoring America to constitutional government.. and we are going to hold them to the constitution. They can ooh and ahhh all they like, but we will be relentless in shinning the light of the constitution, an oath we all signed, to them. That might wake them up. Let's work on that.

Right...

...but ironically, those folks will probably be more receptive to it if they're awake and on alert against tyrant Obama. With Romney, they're not going to be as concerned at first and will probably be more apathetic to hearing about the Constitution. They'll be excusing Romney's expansion of the TSA -- watch!

Romney is only in this to

Romney is only in this to keep himself and his son out of prison.... He hand's Obama the election the DOJ doesn't go after them... Perfect deal.... These debates are so scripted it isn't funny... Watch and learn... Obama will really knock it out of the park at the next... Romney was weak... My god this is Obama and that was the best he could do? Anyway that is to make it look good... The public will be left with Obama winning the final debate big time.... Which stinks...

Romney wasn't weak

And I don't think Obama will knock it out of the park next debate.

Okay, Granger, up till now I understood that you're playing

the "Miss Hostage" role, you'll vote for Romney 'cuz your committee spot handcuffs prevent you from otherwise, but what does Romney's performance have to do with your chair spot? Nothing he could ever say is worth you coming on here defending.

I know you get off on being downvoted, but it's getting old.

Romney is the tool

and while that is not my choice of tool, I need to see what good I can find in that tool.

Once there was a little old ant, thought he'd move a rubber tree plant, everyone knpows an ant can't, move a rubber tree plant, but he had high hopes.. you know the song... so when you add hundreds of Ron Paul Republicans like me, the strongest, smartest, hardest working of ALL Ron Paul RepubliCANs.. we are winning.

Red marks are nothing but sore losers.

Romney is a tool. I could

Romney is a tool. I could never vote for him.

Jason

Happy Libertarian

It's NOT about Romney

It's about our mission to Restore the Republic to Constitutional Government. That is NOT GJ's goal. GJ says he wants to debate, so his mission is to open debates (something he didn't bother working on as a life long Republican BTW). So if you think open debates if more important that Restoring the Republic to Constitutional government, then you are in the right camp being with GJ.

Good luck opening the debates. Seriously!

Romney restoring

Romney restoring Constitutional government AFTER THE ELECTION is as likely as gold becoming the replacement for the dollar... AIN'T HAPPENING.
