A former TSA agent pleaded guilty Tuesday to stealing cash from a passenger at Norfolk International Airport.
John W. Irwin, 60, pleaded guilty to one count of grand larceny in a November 2011 incident at a checkpoint.
According to a statement of facts filed with the court, the passenger advised Transportation Security Administration agents that he had a medical condition and needed to be patted down. The passenger then dropped $520 cash and a pen into a gray plastic bin.
