The United States and Turkey will hold in-depth discussions on the possibility of imposing a no-fly zone in Syria, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Saturday.
The discussion over the no-fly zone, reported by Reuters, is part of a package of increased cooperation measures Washington and Ankara agreed to Saturday, during Clinton’s visit to the country.
“It is one thing to talk about all kinds of potential actions, but you cannot make reasoned decisions without doing intense analysis and operational planning,” Clinton said when asked about the possibility of imposing the zone over rebel-held territory, Reuters reported.
She said the no-fly zone was one thing she and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu agreed needed “greater in-depth analysis.
