I Was A Teenage Ron PaulSubmitted by Chris Gopackgoski on Fri, 10/05/2012 - 03:55
The transformation happened slowly at first.
At first there were only hints. Feelings. Then, slowly, it was a knowing. I was different, all right: something had definitely changed. I had changed.
I was becoming a Ron Paul.
It came on without warning and in waves:
I knew the Federal Reserve was a private banking club.
I knew that foreign intervention had repercussions.
I knew that a welfare state could only eat itself.
I knew things I never thought I would know - where I learned them I couldn't tell you, but they were there, not just ideas but knowledge, knowledge that couldn't be replaced or erased.
I had become something else, something different.
I had become... Ron Paul!
Oh, the blessings. Oh, the curses of time.
As a mortal I am unable to know my own mortality. As a product of the timeless ideas of freedom and liberty I still know not my own timelessness...
As a student I forget I am still a teacher... as a teacher I forget that I am yet still a student...
The heavens be praised, I shout out loud: I AM RON PAUL!!!
