Obama and Romney one of the same Why didn't Paul run 3rd party

This topic may be old news but I have yet to understand this reality I am living in.
Now that we are down to 2 candidates people are finally starting to realize the choice is really no choice at all. The RNC robbed all of us the democracy we are entitled by changing the rules and stripping away the delegates. They reacted so extreme because they were so scared. Scared of the power freedom brings and they shut it down and we let them.

Ron Paul should have offered us an option his candidacy should not have depended on the nomination of such a corrupt unjust party. He should be proud not to represent them instead of conceding to them.

I am very upset their will be no President Paul, I am disgusted that I do not even have a choice. I will write his name in and it will make no difference but I must vote and I can only vote for RON PAUL!

A few

weeks ago when there was still a slim chance of getting him on the "L" ticket with GJ, I got some inside info from one of the family members.

The impression I got from the information I received was that RP feels like Mittens is going to lose. RP didn't want himself and us to be set up as the scapegoats for the GOP loss. Plus there were supposedly some money concerns. I also got the impression that he was extremely disgusted with how things went in Tampa and had a bad taste in his mouth for the whole rotten process.

I personally wish he would have made plans to run independently ahead of time, because of the treatment in Tampa and throughout the campaign should have been expected. He could have easily said "I didn't leave the GOP. The GOP left me" and he would have been correct (and justified imo).

I also think at one point he didn't want to jeopardize the positions supporters had worked for in their respective GOP circles. His son becoming a Senator may have played a role as well, along with JB possibly looking out for his own career rather than fighting the good fight no matter what.

I truly felt that this was America's last chance to get it right, and that it was RP's destiny. I was realistic about the level of corruption and dark embedded powers we were going up against, but still felt like all of RP's life experiences had led up to this moment and that hopefully the American people would see past the MSM deception and come our way. It's hard for me not to be disappointed.

Much of this critique of the

Much of this critique of the two being the same is the fact that the American people are very united on some issues.

Yes, both are pro war on drugs; so are most Americans.
Yes, both are big government; so are most Americans.
Yes, both are interventionists; so are most Americans.
Yes, both are strongly pro-Federal Reserve; so are most Americans.

And of course, there are differences even among the consensus. Does anyone disagree that gay marriage is more likely to be permitted under an Obama administration? Does anyone really think we'd have left Iraq and be winding down in Afghanistan if McCain had been president? Does anyone really think that OBama wants to hit Iran as much as Romney does?

Won't Romney pledge lower taxes? Isn't he more likely to have lower spending? Isn't he more likely to increase corporatism?

Havent you heard anything these past 5 years?

3rd party runs are a waste of money and resources. Did you notice Gary Johnson wasn't in the debate and he's on the ballots

Preparation through education is less costly than learning through tragedy

Here's why:

#1 - the debates are rigged - no way in - no how
#2 - the media would black him out as they did already - thus no way around the debate exclusion
#3 - not enough money - without being in the debates, and with a media blackout, you needs hundreds of millions of dollars to have a shot, at least 500 million to even think of winning.
#4 - ballot access - nearly impossible and very expensive. Also, the process for this had to really begin a year in advance. In that case, there should have been no GOP run at all.

If you have a solution to ALL 4 - people would like to know.

A name is not an answer.

Jesse doesn't have magical powers.

Now, Jesse might have the answer. But if he did, I sure wish he would have shared it with Ron Paul this go 'round.

Grand Theft Auto...?

He may have been affected to conclude that—out—
May lie within—for he has explored that route.
Ds & Rs got ‘em two well-oiled crony machines,
Maybe he's tryin’ to reconfigure one for a new routine.

Human freedom is Imagination's most precious possession.

Thats just it they are

Thats just it they are machines and we want a person. Democrats' registration is down by 800,000 and Republicans' by 350,000. Independents have gained 325,000. We are ready to vote for a president and not a party.
We just need the opportunity.

mayermiss, RonPaul is STILL campaigning for LIBERTY!

Watch THIS "Presidential" Oct 4th speech by Ron Paul, given on the very day after the superficial cosmetic O&R debate. And be re-energized to continue on with your own fight for liberty in your unique and most effective ways :-) We vote for RonPaul everyday by living freely, on our terms (& not by arbitrary rigged rules manufactured by master cheaters).

I am not looking for a leader

I am not looking for a leader I want a president. He ran because he felt the american people deserved a choice he'd say "let the people decide" I do not understand why our choices and his campaign were contingent on whether or not he secured the republican nomination. Why represent the shameful RNC?
Its very confusing my sons are finally old enough to vote and I am having a very difficult time explaining the process and its importance with these choices that remain.

Well

One of the reasons he ran in the Republican race was to get the sheeple vote should he have obtained the nomination.
I assume another was he had hopes we would work to take it over and change it from within. Thus giving Liberty a solid voice within an established member of the 2 party duopoly.

Hopefully.........

When Ron Paul leaves the republican party next year, he will help create a new party to take over in 2016.

“I have joined your revolution and I’m proud to be part of what you want to do.” - Ron Paul

One last thing what the heck

One last thing what the heck is up with his son supporting MITT?

And what do you mean leaves?

And what do you mean leaves? Isnt he retiring this year from the senate? He should remove himself immediately from the RNC after the way they conducted themselves. They behaved like children making the rules as they went along for the sole purpose of silencing Ron Paul and his hundreds of thousands of supporters.
They are a dictatorship no different than Irans supreme council deciding who will run.

2016 WILL BE TOO LATE.

2016 WILL BE TOO LATE.

You're right. Like a bus headed for a cliff

we have tried to put on the brakes but now it is to late to avoid the free fall to destruction. Anyone who has thoroughly thought it through is preparing for the worst as we speak.
