Cannabis CURES cancer. OK, so now what? I need help...

OK, so from all the research I've been able to do... hours and hours... I am convinced that high grade cannabis oil will CURE pretty much any type of cancer. I'll include some links below to back up my claims.

Here's my dilemma...

My girlfriend's mom has a brain tumor. This is not the first time. It's the 4th time. Each time she has gotten it, always in the same spot, she has to go through surgery to have it removed. But, it never fails, within a few years it's back. And it appears to be coming back quicker and quicker each time.

Last time the tumor came back, I knew about the cannabis cure, but I didn't tell her about it. She's a Bible-thumper and doesn't look highly on drug use. I let her go through the surgery.

Well, her brain tumor is back again. She's scheduled for surgery again in about 3 weeks. I know 3 weeks isn't enough time for the oil to work completely, but maybe it would reduce the tumors size enough to get the doctors to put off the surgery for awhile. Of course, you never know how they are going to react to a disappearing tumor. And just imagine how they would react if we told them WHY the tumor was going away.

Anyway, I want to tell her about the cannabis oil cure. I even have a friend who has some of the oil already ready to go. He was in a similar situation but couldn't convince his wife to let him try the oil on his mother-in-law and she ended up dying... with the cure she needed sitting in a syringe in his basement.

I guess I'm just looking for some advice on how to tell her. Or maybe I'm just looking for 2nd opinions... or maybe I'm searching for courage... I don't know. I just know you people are the most open-minded people I know, so I figured I would share my story with you. Maybe someone else here has gone though this themselves, I don't know.

Here's the info about cannabis and cancer...

Did you know that new research shows that marijuana actually kills cancer cells... rather than creating them? It actually causes them to eat themselves in a process called "autophage".

Cancer Studies:

THC (marijuana) helps cure cancer says Harvard study

Marijuana Chemical May Fight Brain Cancer
Active Component In Marijuana Targets Aggressive Brain Cancer Cells, Study Says

If you don’t believe me, check out the studies at www.pubmed.gov … just type “cannabinoids” and “cancer” in the search bar and you’ll see the results of the HUNDREDS of studies that show that the THC in marijuana actually kills cancer cells, both in human tissue cultures and in animals. But… they won’t let us do studies on humans because mj has been labeled the “devil’s weed”. HA!

But there is plenty of anecdotal evidence. (People who didn't want to wait on the government to legalize medical marijuana to help with their illness. We've been waiting over 40 years, after all.) I have been in correspondence with the head of the biology dept at a major university in Colorado, and he's knows people personally who have used super-concentrated cannabis oil to CURE their cancer. His own girlfriend got rid of her skin cancer completely applying cannabis oil topically. You can also find video diaries on the internet of people who have gotten rid of skin cancer using cannabis oil. Also video diaries of people who have had miraculous healing of 3rd degree burns. One video diary I found had an AIDS patient who was ingesting the oil and cut his T-cell count from over 800 to around 400 in just a few weeks.

Rick Simpson has cured hundreds of people over the last few years and has plenty of written and videoed testimony. Google "Run from the Cure".

This is a video everyone should watch...

I cant help but be suspicious of your hospital and doctor

This sounds like a really tough surgery. Are you at a research university hospital? Never go to a local hospital for a life threatening illness. If you find a good doctor at a local hospital you got lucky.

Truth in the middle

Don't confuse cures with supplemental benefit. Sometimes the supplemental benefits of natural medicine cure cancers or weaken them. But for as many that have had success with marijuana, just as many have learned the hard way. Do everything you can to help your girlfriend's mother. When life is on the line, discriminating against solutions is a bad idea. Especially when so many of them are compatible with each other.

I have been researching the

I have been researching the oils because I heard it is beneficial in treating neuropathy. My problem is locating a high quality oil with the right medicinal properties. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated.

my dog needs

DP help. She is a 13 year old lab with an anal gland tumor that my vet says is 95% cancer based on lab results. My insurance covers holistic and alternative treatments so I went to a holistic vet and the instant he found out my insurance would cover 90% he was like a car salesman using CANCER as a motivator and even saying that I agreed to surgery and chemo on another phone call. Very disorganized with thoughts and what I should do and who to trust so I came here. I trust the DP folks more than my own doctors. Any thoughts or ideas on would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

just give her the info and leave her alone

That's all you can do. She has to make her own choices.

Even better...

...have her drink a hot ASPARAGUS puree 2 or 3 times a day. Should be cleared up in a month or two. Surgery is almost never the right thing to do for any condition.

Dad Gives Cannabis Oil to Toddler Battling Brain Cancer

Show her this video first. It is case specific (brain tumor) and, "official," because it's a local news broadcast.

You have done all the research, now you have to focus in on the main point and hit it out of the park with this video to show your girlfriend.

Another good video to consider is, "World Without Cancer."

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Where does she live?

Where does she live?

Here are my thoughts. Maybe

Here are my thoughts. Maybe it does work (from studies). I don't know. But I know two people who tried it during cancer. One of them died. The other developed cancer while using it. The one who passed away was 56 at the time (this was 23 years ago) and did it in hopes to spur hunger because he had stopped eating. The one who developed cancer was a heavy smoker (tobacco) on top of it so who knows. But I will tell you something I did to my dog that actually worked! I know this may sound crazy but I swear it did and I'd try it in a heartbeat on myself. In fact, I regularly consume them for prevention. I have a 50 lb. lab mix and a big growth showed up on his side (ribs). He was fairly young (about 4 years old) and I thought he had an abscess. I didn't have a lot of money at the time. It had grown to the size of a half baseball. I know this may sound bad but I decided to make him a guinea pig. I had seen a mixture listed online that worked for a cancer victim and I knew they were all anti-inflammatory so I thought if it's an abscess, it might work on it. I started giving him canned dog food sprinkled with turmeric powder (potent anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer), powdered ginger (anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer), cayenne (or habanero sauce which kills cancer cells in petri dishes) and a small shake of garlic powder (too much can be toxic for dogs so I kept amount small). The original recipe called for a weird "sandwich" made with natural bread, fresh ginger root, turmeric powder or root, habanero peppers, fresh garlic, and natural butter. I knew my dog wasn't going to eat that. So I substituted. Anyway, results were the growth started shrinking....substantially after about 2 months. Had I kept doing it, it would've shrunk completely. It looked like it was "melting" and flattening out. I thought for sure it was an abscess then. When it had shrunk to about the size of a small flattened golf ball, I took him to the vet and they biopsied it. He said it was an aggressive form of cancer. Since the "treatment" was working so well, I just decided not to do anything with it at the doctor's office other than have what was left removed. I didn't tell the doctor what I had done (thought he'd think I was nuts). I kept him on the treatment a while longer. That was about 5 years ago! He's about 9 years old now and still active and had no more problems with the original tumor. With his age, there have been some smaller skin growths starting to come up this year but he's old. Most of the ingredients are blood-thinners so one would really have to be careful mixing these with any medications that are also blood thinners. Whether it would work on all cancers, I have no idea. But I'd certainly try it myself. I have a bottle of habanero sauce I regularly use. And I make turmeric/ginger tea every few days (one teaspoon of turmeric powder and about 1/4 t. of ginger). Boil for one minute in a cup of water and flavor how you want. Doesn't taste all that great but it's a great anti-inflammatory of you have arthritis. Knowing what I witnessed, I'd try that before cannabis oil.

Turmeric is great in rice

With diced up mango and raisins.

I understand that it also detoxifies the liver.

It will not cure cancer

It does not cure cancer. I dont care what research you think you did. You have no clue what good research even is. Cannabis oil does not cure cancer. It may help with chemo associated nausea, or chronic pain. But it does not cure cancer. Take your girlfriend to the Oncologist and stay silent.

And you know this because.....

What makes you so certain of that?

you are full of crap on this.

you are full of crap on this.

Cannabis kills cancer, this is proven over and over again.

Does it cure cancer, "cure" is a strong word.

YouTube videos of "Bob Melamede."

THC and cannabinoids are involved in the cannabinoid system, a system that regulates homeostasis of every other system in the body. Homeostasis can be thought of as "equilibrium" or keeping systems within certain parameters. THC has been shown over and over to cause apoptosis (natural cell death) in tumor cells, while protecting healthy cells. This is different than all other medicines for cancer. Usually the treatment kills all cells in the area including healthy ones, but cannabinoids kill only the cells you want to kill, while protecting the cells around it.

Put a tumor in a mouse, inject THC directly into the tumor, and watch the cancer die while the surrounding healthy cells thrive. No other treatment causes these results. Obviously, the research has been stifled and is only now being seriously examined because of Colorado.

Your idea that cannabis is only useful for treating chemo side effects is short sided. While it is effective in treating nausea from chemo, it has it's own completely separate medical benefits to killing tumors.

"Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito."

I agree

I glanced at the studies mentioned. They were in mice or extremely small human samples (2) with a highly aggressive form of cancer. In the studies, the rate of growth slowed. That's not the same as cure and I'll bet the human subjects still died of cancer.

I disagree with your advice to stay silent, however. I think it's important to do your own research and to ask questions of your oncologist. If you get a doc who doesn't like to answer questions, change oncologists. I have had three members of my immediate family with a total of five types of cancer so I've had lots of conversations with oncologists.

Among the most promising cancer treatments are antiangiogenic compounds and cancer vaccines. Look into those.

So, prepare for your comment to be downvoted. Too many people lack the ability to read clinical studies or to understand how science works. And besides, some folks don't like to have their religion questioned. Too many people base their thinking on faith rather than reason.

Always do your own research and question everything, include advice you receive here.

I downvoted both of you...

The original comment for stating his opinion as fact without providing any research or evidence all the while making blanket statements accusing people of not doing research...

...and yours for assuming that I'm down-voting people because I can't read clinical studies or understand e-mc^2. You said, "Question everything..." Apparently not the comment you replied to.

NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.

Fair enough

I agree that you should even question my statements. I was probably too harsh in my comment and had I to do it over again, I would have toned it down. I regret any offense my comment may have caused. I prefer a civil discussion, whether there is agreement or not.

I am concerned that too many people come to conclusions without actually thinking through their reasons. We're better off having a dialog, asking questions, and seeking fact-based answers. This is hard to do in a forum. Sometimes it's hard to do in person. It's a challenge sometimes for a person to set aside emotional reasoning to look for evidence. Keeping open minds all around is valuable and often difficult.

If someone believes cannabis cures cancer, it should be their right, if they get cancer, to consume all the cannabis they want. The consequences are their own, whether they are cured or the cancer progresses. If someone tells me cannabis cures cancer, I'd ask for proof before I think there's something to it. There are so many substances that have been shown to antiangiogenic properties that it's possible that cannabis is one of them. It would be wonderful if that's true. However, even proven substances (e.g., endostatin, angiostatin, 2ME2) sometimes reduce cancer tumors but sometimes fail. People still die of cancer even with the most promising treatments. "Cure" is a tall order and the blanket statement "cure cancer" is nearly impossible to fulfill.

Yes, question everything, even me. Yes, be skeptical of everything. Yes, do your own research and always seek knowledge. The problem - and this isn't exclusive to this forum - is that asking questions sometimes incurs the wrath of others whose beliefs are being questioned. One only needs to look at the response to atheists and Christians, or people who question climate change, or people who question whether vaccines cause autism, or people who challenge the latest person who claims to have some secret knowledge that "They" don't want you to know. All claims should be subject to challenges. If the claim is valid, it will meet the challenges. If the claimant rejects challenges, or worse, becomes hostile to challenges, the safest approach is probably to run the other way!

The standard of proof should be high and evidence should support or not support a hypothesis. Science rarely works in absolutes. And science is rarely "settled." Nearly everything is subject to change.

So, thanks for your response. It gave me time to think this through a bit more and explain my thinking.

But so many oncologists wouldn't

and what are your credentials?

Dr. Lester Grinspoon, Professor Emeritus of Harvard Medical School, disagrees with you... and he has some pretty strong credentials. But I'm sure he didn't do "good research" either.

just keep collecting pollen, drone.

At their inceptions, the #Liberty, #OccupyWallStreet and #TeaParty movements all had the same basic goal... What happened?

are you serious?

I am a Bible believer,

and this is what I show other believers: Revelation 22:14-15

King James Version (KJV)

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

The word "sorcerers" in the original Greek, which is what it was written in, 'pharmakos' (Strongs # 5332) See this page:
http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=43205 Might give them pause, since the Bible is pretty clear that herbs heal and drugs are obviously not good, according to the Bible itself.

So am I and I have a hard

So am I and I have a hard time believing that God would create a plant that he would not want his creation to use. So you are saying that Marijuana is an herb correct?

of course it is an herb. However most pharmaceuticals aren't even made with plants. It is interesting that the pharmaceutical companies make so much money and are interested only in treatments that make them lots of money and can be patented.

Tell her God put the plant here to heal. That God puts all things here we need, and that man has taken it and corrupted it.
Taking what God made is not a sin.
After all..Christ drank the purest wine and beer..yes beer...its older than wine..and in some areas you couldn't drink the water.
Or..you could just not tell her and make her a tea with hemp oil in it..also high doses of C-D-B17...and if she will..put her on a raw diet.

it is NOT a drug!!

Come on, man!!

Hey idiot

No shit- but you are telling me it's ok to give edibles to an unsuspecting individual- that's drugging somebody buddy! That's irresponsible and the reefer madness is returning believe it or not- drugging someone is not how the battle is won. Think.

I spill mor cannabis than most people smoke; don't go there I'll school you

You can lead a horse to water...

All you can do is tell her what you have learned, and ask her to try it. She is either going to go with it, or ignore you. If she asks for further help give it to her... if she doesn't.... there is nothing you can do about it. All you can do is expose folks to a different point of view and hope they hear you and "run with it", but if they choose the conventional route... there is nothing you can do about it.... it will be like beating your head against a brick wall. You just have to let go at that point... as difficult as it is. It is hard to watch people self destruct, because of a closed mind... I know I have watched over and over again with friends and family..... good luck.
