Nikki Haley’s Posse Comitatus Problem?


Military police officers from Fort Jackson are assisting state and local authorities in providing public safety for this weekend’s big University of South Carolina football game against Georgia …

… or so says local television station WIS TV 10 (NBC – Columbia, S.C.) in a report co-filed with the Associated Press.

This deployment was approved by S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley, who hates the federal government … unless of course it is bailing out her transportation department, inflating her health care agency’s Medicaid rolls or stepping in to combat a recent spate of violence in her state’s capital city.

The national guard called out for

a football game... Senate hearings over baseball players on steroids. Let profits from ticket sales go to hiring security guards instead of AMERICAN TAXPAYERS funding it - making a mockery of the military in the process. A stupid football game is not a state of emergency!!! Let the baseball teams use profits from ticket sales to go towards hiring some ombudsman, if necessary, instead of AMERICAN TAXPAYERS paying CONGRESS to do that. As if there weren't enough REAL ISSUES facing the country at the time that our elected officials in CONGRESS should have been focused on.
