Spain's police state has spiraled out of control as riot police are now running throughout the streets beating everyone in sight, men and women, young and old.

Madrid versus Barcelona. It was the situation during the Civil War, Madrid suppressed Catalonia until Franco's death. Now Catalonia has had enough and they want independence from Madrid, PP & Mr. Rajoy.

Over a million people march for Catalan Independence:

Police action is not going to stop the people.

Franco's Enforcers: The Spanish Civil Guard

Spain has two levels of police. the Police of the central state are the paramilitary Civil Guard ( Guardias ).

Franco was the only fascist to survive WW2. The Civil Guard were Franco's enforcers. A German WW2 comparison would be the Gestapo.

The Guardias were not disbanded after Franco died in 1975. Supposedly they were "reformed". It would seem their old habits die hard.

Dr. Pieczenik has been blogging on Spain recently

Scrolll down to get the inside baseball from his perspective:

And the spanish

Have a big history with limiting government powers or getting rid of it in its entirety. This is not good folks, Anarcho-Communism may be on the rise in Spain.

And a right-wing government is now in power. "Partido Popular", PP, traces its roots back to the Franco regime.

Because of the Civil War there are two Spains philosophically: strong state, nationalism, catholicism & control or liberty loving, anti-state & church (church power) all the way to communist-anarchist.

This is a very fragile powder keg, much more so than any of the other "PIGS".

Remember this: As Spain goes, the Euro goes.

There is no

Right wing government in Spain, using this term out of context is misleading to the public. IF your on the Right Then you dont VOTE for more Debt, or more government intervention in the Economy by taking austerity measures while limiting people's freedom to work and taking the fruits of their own labor.

If you are on the Right you leave The People THE FUCK ALONE! you let them re-build their lives and their country in the best way THEY can. I am sorry my Anarcho-Communist friends you are only half right and half wrong. Central planning only leads to immoral and unethical events as you see in the video.

Anarcho-Communism is a complete contradiction. You cannot have Communism without the State. It is like eating without food.

More complicated, and yes, they are a party of the right.

In Spain they have the following:

A monarchy - "Carlists".
A tradition of extreme right statist control.
Coupled with a powerful church that aided to keeping both in power.

Partido Popular was established by a man named Fraga... who happened to work for the Fascist dictator Francisco Franco.

The tradition was not to leave people alone it was to make them conform and to use the police and courts to keep them in line.

Right, Left and even the word "Liberal" mean different things in different countries. I meant it in context of Spain's history and the actions of the police are explained in this context. 30 years ago they would be beating and arresting all of the protesters.

Because the popularized

Because the popularized definition is nonsensical, I think using terms like "right wing" in any context, but especially this one, is dangerous and misleading. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2L2nEJ1DI8.

One Thousand to one

So, peaceful protests are not working.
Next time, how about "the people" take charge and start kicking some ass. There had to be at least one thousand people for every one cop in that video clip. It's a bugs life, remember when the grasshoppers (Hopper)...in the end, the Ants took back control of their lives by turning on the Grasshoppers. You can learn a lot from a kid's movie.

heartbreaking scenes

I liked one comment on youtube saying the protesters should wear protective gear just like the cops are wearing.
This is such an unfair fight.

For the sheeple who finally....

.....do wake-up at the end, they will find that they are slaves to the State/Central Banks. When that realization occurs, the SHTF very quickly. This will be us going further down the road called 'tyranny.' It's not that far away, now.

how many times do I need to tell you this . .

the government doesnt have any cheese.
they take it by force from us or in this case the Spanish citizens.

I commend these people, they ARE RIGHT!!

I wish they'd take out hundreds of police and actually, what would be best is if they would riot IN the rulers/parliament neighborhoods and kill them and their families.
THEN find a spokesman and say this.
Give us our freakin money/healthcare, services whatever back or we'll keep coming. Wave after wave!!

There is one "Just" way to avoid this.

Step 1 - Refund the past 6 months to 1 year of taxes to the citizens who paid
Step 2 - THEN and ONLY THEN, stop the government cheese

Until Step 1 is completed, noone has a right to go to Step 2!!

This is the reality that BigGov advocates

never acknowledge.

Number one, I don't know that

Number one, I don't know that Spain's problems are our problems. Number two, the rioters are angry about losing their government cheese (aka handouts). They're all wrong. Oh, and 'third'... I'm not seeing anyone being shot or run over by tanks. They are not facing mortal danger at this time.

Why do you think they're angry about losing their "cheese"?

How do you know they're not angry over the same things that we're angry about? Have you seen their government's plan for recovery? It includes the same horsesh*t that our government comes up with including 43 new laws and incentives for energy efficient vehicles - that's about it in a nutshell. Would you be happy with that? How many more government employees and tax dollars do you estimate it is going to take to enforce those 43 new laws? Where do you think the money is going to come from to subsidize those who purchase energy efficient vehicles?

Their system of government is

Their system of government is apparently a parliamentary monarchy, however socialists have been running their country into the ground. Socialism doesn't work. Monarchies are..... stupid.

Like my brother above said...
