"Crimes of the STATE". A new book I am writing. The I.C.E. is trying to deport an innocent young man from Belarus. Please read!Submitted by sharkhearted on Sun, 10/07/2012 - 18:46
Lest you think this means "crimes against the state", it does not.
My book will chronicle crimes committed by the state against its own people.
Although this is happening all over the world, and certainly each country on this planet could make its own list, I will be sticking to the crimes of the US Government against its people (and, in certain cases, crimes against the people by the actual state and local governments as well).
The first chapter is going to be titled: "O'er the Land of the Unfree, and the Home of the Jailed."
Now I am sure you can tell by that parody of the National Anthem, what this chapter will discuss. The so-called "Prison Industrial Complex."
Yes, in our Land of Opportunity, prison has become big, BIG business.
How does Starbucks grow its business? By selling more coffee.
How does Walmart grow its business? By making more and more knick-knacks available to the world, at discounted prices.
How do prison corporations grow their business? By making more prisoners, of course!
How do you make more prisoners? You invent more laws to trip people up. People who are by no stretch of the imagination, criminals in any sense of the word.
No, the REAL crime here, is sentencing and jailing people who are not in any way, a violent threat to society. This is a far greater crime, than the "crimes" these people may have "committed."
The Land of the Free only has 5% of the worlds population, yet we have 25% of the world's prison population.
That is a damning statistic. Revolting. Reprehensible.
You may remember in the news of the highly illegal "arrest" (kidnapping!) by the FBI (the Federal Bureau of Intimidation), the Waffen SS (Secret Service), the DHS (Department of Harassment & Surveillance), and the Chesterfield County Police, of a ex-Marine decorated veteran from the Iraq War, 27-year-old Brandon Raub of Richmond, just because he was exercising his 1st Amendment rights to speak his mind (he made some "controversial" statements on Facebook), and where he was "incarcerated" at a mental institution for a week.
This is happening all over the country, where veterans are being targeted, and "accused" of mental illness, and illegally detained in mental facilities. These are high crimes in and of themselves! What a way to treat our war veterans!! The technique is straight out of the playbook of the Soviet Union, where dissidents would be targeted and declared mentally insane. That will be another subject for another day.
But this first chapter will feature the US Government-induced terror on one family that emigrated here from the former Soviet Union (Belarus), seeking opportunity.
And in this story I want to introduce you to another case where, just like Brandon Raub, an innocent young man was "arrested" without committing any crime, and no probable cause for even being a suspect to a crime, and no charges.
Yet this young man was ordered to the I.C.E., and put in shackles, and held in a cell for a day where they interrogated him and fingerprinted him. (This just happened last week).
This individual's name is Ivan Liapin. And he is a new friend of mine through this travesty. And I am going to make this cause known.
He is about 21 now and emigrated here with his family from Belarus when he was 14. He works, pays taxes, graduated with honors from high school after he came to this country from Belarus...he then went on to graduate summa cum laude from James Madison University with a degree in Pre-Med and a minor in biology. He loves this country and wants to serve it by joining the US Navy, and wants to attend Johns Hopkins medical school after that.
But all those dreams have been dashed. His application for American citizenship was denied even after he passed the courses for that with flying colors. The fact that this young man was denied citizenship is, in and of itself, a government crime, a “crime of the state” against him.
And now the I.C.E. is now taking him to court and trying to deport him.
When Ivan came to this country with his family when he was 14, his mother told him that America was "founded on laws and justice."
Wow. What a betrayal on that idea..
His mother and brother are both under federal sentencing for alleged "marriage fraud" or some other trumped up nonsense. His mother, an esteemed Russian teacher in the Virginia Beach school system, is being currently held in inhumane conditions in the Northen Neck Regional Jail (no pillow, no blanket, no sink!!).
She received 21 months (!) of sentencing and after her sentencing she will be deported back to Belarus with absolutely nothing.
Her son, and Ivan's older brother, Danil, who emigrated here at the same time, had his own business here as a Class A general contractor, was paying taxes, and applying for US citizenship as well, when he and his mom were each framed on "marriage fraud" or some other nonsense. Danil is currently serving 41 months. (!)
The whole story is rotten to the core when you dig into the details as the people who testified against them are one, a sociopathic and embittered estranged wife of Danil, and two, a Russian language instructor PhD "colleague" of Danil's and Ivan's mother, who apparently made sexual advances to her that she turned away.
This PhD Russian instructor is, as we speak, using KGB-like psy-ops on Ivan, and slandering and libeling he and his family as we speak. You have to see this individuals facebook posts against Ivan, to believe it. Ivan has started a legal defense fund for his family, and this individual, a former COLLEGE Russian professor at VCU, started blowing up his Facebook legal defense page with libel, so Ivan had to remove those posts.
Below on his facebook page, you will see pictures of Ivan's beloved family. Criminals, they are not!
I am asking each of you to please consider donating to the defense fund that Ivan has set up on the Facebook page. He is going to need everyone's help to fight deportation. Please "like" the Facebook page and share this story or this email with your family and friends
Finally, I leave you with a quick two-part series on our local news channel, chronicling the events. Please watch, as Ivan, is interviewed.
In closing, let me ask, in what universe, is it acceptable where you have a family who come from the former Soviet Union, where his mom was free, to come to the Land of the Free, only to be imprisoned on some nonsense charges?? (The government doesn't have any business being in the business of marriage anyways.)
Where is the crime?? And even if "crimes" were committed, haven't these people suffered enough already??
How are these people worthy of being imprisoned??
How is this young man Ivan, who wants to partake in the American Dream, being treated like a common criminal, arrested and detained and fingerprinted and deported?
This is disgusting. I am ashamed that these people come here and are treated like this.
This truly is...a CRIME OF THE STATE.
