Mitt Romney - Straight Out of the Neocon Playbook in his FP Speech

"It is the responsibility of our president to use America's great power to shape history" -- Mitt Romney

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/08/romney-foreign-poli...

Straight out of the neocon playbook to massively increase military spending and start more wars of aggression.

The result of which will be a dramatic weakening of America's relative strategic power and ultimately bankruptcy and economic carnage like Greece and Spain are now going through.

No one could argue that the US is relatively stronger now, strategically, financially or economically, than it was when GW Bush was inaugurated in January 2001.

Thanks for putting the documents together, Ian! They will be handy later. . .

Actually Mitt...

...it is the responsibility of our president to uphold and defend the constitution - no more and no less.

I've been wondering ...

Who really is...."..the lesser of two evils"? Romney strikes me as the most dangerous candidate of my voting lifetime. (I'm 51 years old)

With all due respect, I will no longer be a voting prostitute for Constitution rejecting harlots.

I have the same question

I don't know who the lesser of the 2 evils are. I think Dubya was just as dangerous as Romney will be (same neocon FP advisers, by the way) while Obama has been awful in terms of just about everything.

Neoconservatism seems similar

Neoconservatism seems similar to zionism and jihadism. They call liberty extreme, but "shaping history" sounds like political ideology gone wry. Ironic that the U.S.A. has devolved to calling those who love liberty extremists and those who love government sensible.

I'm tired of hearing anything this man says--

*not directed towards the OPer*

So why do I click on links that talk about him? LOL!

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--
