Cops, you guys should

Hey policemen, you guys should go home and watch that children's movie called "A Bug's Life". Now, that will open up your eyes.
That will be your future you're watching.
The ants are the people, and the grasshoppers are (the ones feeding off the ant's labor).

I believe it was in the model of this spirit when Twisted Sister wrote "We're not gonna take it."

Now tell me that drum beat didn't just start playing in your head.

tell the banksters to pound sand...

Like Iceland did and kick them out of your country.

When we round them all up and try them for treason they'll be lucky if they survive.

VERY lucky!

Let's see to it that they don't.

They shouldn't be allowed to survive. How many deaths have they contributed to worldwide over the years? They are beyond reform.

They need to be utterly stamped out... so that they can never return to power. Cancer must be removed, or it will only come back.

What would the Founders do?

the people have seen what they can do now...

May God have mercy on the nwo and their gestapo thugs goons because their scalps belong to us, the people now.

Bravo, Spain.

it appears to me

that the camera people came together and let themselves be used as a battering ram to run the police back. nice of them. I like the way that more came in from the side to form a solid wall of camera

looks like the crowd "felt threatened"

Doesn't Spain have a king?

Reasons for protest vary -

However, in April 2012, savage cuts to both sectors were announced. The amount was an eye-watering 10 billion euros in attempts to reduce the Spanish government's debt. These additional cuts to education and health are “by far the most controversial of the Spanish’s government’s austerity programmes,” said Tom Burridge, of BBC Madrid.

A month later, as the population was still reeling from the decision, news broke that this money had, in fact, gone to bail out Spanish bank Bankia.

"The demonstration was organized by the "indignants", a popular movement against a political system that they say deprives ordinary Spaniards of a voice in the crisis."

"The economic crisis, blamed on the collapse of a speculation-driven real estate boom, has plunged Spain into recession, throwing millions out of work and many families into poverty. Unemployment is close to 25 percent."

"Tuesday's demonstrators held their hands in the air and jeered: "Hands up, this is a robbery", their regular refrain meaning that the poor are paying for the crisis while bankers get bailed out."

While its nice

that they had cameras, I'm pretty sure that these guys were just outnumbered by the massive crowd and decided to back up because of that.

Arithmetic lesson

The cops/bullies have finally calculated 99 is more than 1.

I am Afraid

I am afraid that if that happened here they would send in the military and make good on that mass burial training they have been passing in congress. They are buying up millions of rounds of ammo for a reason. Hilary would probably watch and cackle while they take out the civilians.

It wasn't the cameras they were afraid of. . .

It was maybe the thousands of protesters that had them completely surrounded... That was a tiny little knot of scared cops. They must've felt lucky to get out of there alive.

“Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.” —Thomas Jefferson

They've had enough

Looks like Spain is saying "enough is enough".
What were they protesting?
Those cops ought to know they're lucky they made it out alive.
Those policemen should have listened to Dr. Paul...
"No government or army can stop an idea whose time has come."

Lucky they made it out alive? Would it have been right to kill them? That would have made the crowd a bunch of evil psychos. I hope we don't head that way.

I don't think it was the cameras

When I read the post I thought "Oh yeah, the cops are afraid of videocameras"...But, That was not what I saw in this video.
I think the Cops were retreating because they knew that crowd had had enough of their batons, and were about to open up a can of 'ol fashion "Whupass" on them.
Now, if only we can get our politicians to do the same here in Amerika, that would be a wonderful sight to see too.

No, is not enough, here in

No, is not enough, here in Romania we have 24% VAT on EVERYTHING (including food, water, electricity), 43% tax on salaries, countless other taxes hidden under different names and motives, average salary is less then $500 a month, BEFORE taxes.
So if most Romanians can live like this, I see no reason why Spannish or Americans can't. To make it even worst, the Government wants to make it illegal any cash transaction over $300, in the name of fighting tax evasion.
I remember 20 years ago there was a saying in Romania, "even if USA will stand still for 50 years, we will never get to their level", not many people imagined USA going backwards at the rate they did lately, the ONLY reason in USA is better then Romania or Africa, whatever, is because FED is printing money.

nice to see so few cops

but in the US their numbers will be overwhelming. I partially hate to say it but the police deserved to be surrounded and beaten.
Nonetheless, this was really great to see and I commend the people there for being brave.

Mother of God...

Look at all those people protesting and those few cops... Guess it's really true the government does not have a large enough police force to stop a large-scale people's revolt.

They were chanting: "The people united, will never be defeated!" That's how you bring down fascism and socialism. If only the people here had the guts to go out on the streets like that.

Wisdom Strategies

Fresh change of pace..

Got upset watching police beat protestors in vids from late last month and last week. Nice to see this creative approach to backing down overly aggressive authority figures.

tell me how any politician who likes his career and want to stay in power would not print paper money to accommodate the majority? Do you expect young Spaniards with Arab scarves to return to factory work under capitalists? No 3 hour siesta break? People in Gaza, who became finally independent and have border with Egypt are not satisfied...

You do not see trade unions at Boeing, Lockheed Martin or municipal workers demonstrating against paper money and the Federal Reserve.

Police should protect private property instead and shoot at will anyone who vandalizes it. But private property is not respected in US or in EU any longer. Therefore, police is in the street.

Why don't businesses pay for

Why don't businesses pay for their own protection? What gives a business the right to take money from others to prevent people stealing from them?

That was an amazing sight after seeing so many people

dragged out of the crowd and beaten in previous days. I wonder how many people were in the streets, hundreds of thousands?

Huge protests there...

Huge protests there...

That had most likely nothing to do with the cameras.

It was the aggressive forward movement of the crowd and the intensity of the screams. The cops got scared.. simple as that.

I think they realized that putting batons to skulls at that moment might have had them fucked up in a street drain.

Yup, it looks like they

Yup, it looks like they realized they were very outnumbered.

Also, it's too bad these protesters are probably screaming for more big government.
