Will "Mr. No" get sent back to Washington DC?

http://news.yahoo.com/voters-send-u-houses-mr-no-back-washin...

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (Reuters) - U.S. freshman Republican Congressman Justin Amash has not been afraid to rub his party - and sometimes his western Michigan constituents - the wrong way.

And he makes no excuses about the many things he has cast votes against.

He voted against the budget bill authored by Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan this year because it did not cut deeply enough for him.

On nearly every recent critical vote where House Speaker John Boehner struggled to win support from his party, Amash voted no: A landmark deal to raise the debt limit and institute spending controls last year, a payroll tax cut extension, a measure to keep student loan rates from rising, and a highway bill to keep road construction from grinding to a halt.

Read the rest here.

I don't know about you all, but I want Justin Amash sent back to DC and the comment section needs help.

If he wins,

and Romney wins, expect a primary next cycle.

Mr. No & Dr. No are the best.

Mr. No & Dr. No are the best.

That article reminded me

That article reminded me EXACTLY of the treatment RP got over the last year. A bunch of quotes from supposed "experts" saying JA is "too far to the right, and too Constiutional" Portraying him as hopelessly stubborn. Not quite as mean to him as RP, but you can tell the status quo doesn't like him at all. Man i hope he wins, the article said he is slightly favored. I left a doozy of a post just now, if anyone reads this shortly, go vote it up, its pretty good, my name was "Eddie"

*Wisconsin Constitution* Article I, Section 25 "The people have the right to keep and bear arms for security, defense, hunting, recreation or any other law-abiding purpose"

I live in the district below

I live in the district below him, and us liberty lovers down here do all we can for him.

Best comment on that Yahoo article

I think this is the best comment on that Yahoo! article:

"America gets the economic conditions it has if they throw Amash out.

Once voting for special money for ones district was known as porkbarreling and catering to special interests, now it is called no doing what your contiuents want in your district.

Once voting for great corporate give aways was called corporate welfare, now it is called job creation.

Voting for principals and openly explaining every vote is called Mr No.

Once voting for every war the president wants to get into was called warmonger, is now called Mr No.

Once forcing Americans to buy a corporate product by the government was called facist, now it is called healthcare."

Funniest line of the article...

"Amash's strict constitutionalist approach is out of step with the district's needs."

I find that to be the most

I find that to be the most disgusting line in the article. God forbid that we should follow the Constitution! It really shows just how low this country has sank. If I lived in his state and district, Justin Amash would be one of the few Republicans that I would not only want to vote for, but be excited about it.

A true defender of liberty and friend to Dr. Paul

Ron Paul said that Justin was one of his very few friends in Congress, and he would be a top pick for VP (although technically he's too young at 32). We in Michigan's 3rd congressional district are proud of Justin's commitment to protecting our freedom. I've never felt the "need" to walk door to door in my neighborhood for any other congressman, but I do it without hesitation for him. I believe that liberty will prevail, and Justin will be reelected despite the district change. Though, that's not stopping me from putting forth a bit more money, time, and effort to make sure it does.

I am so proud to live in Congressman Amash's District

I'll borrow some info from wikipedia to tell you all that Justin is well liked and respected here!
For those of you who dont know his story.... Amash has never missed a vote in Congress. Like his tenure in the state Legislature, Amash has been a leader in the libertarian faction of the Republican party as a Member of Congress. Ron Paul's brother, David, was an assistant pastor in Amash's district and has endorsed Amash saying, "I like most of his ideas because I’ve heard them before, you know, the same things Ron talks about.” Amash joined 104 Democrats and 16 Republicans in voting against the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act. Amash called it “one of the most anti-liberty pieces of legislation of our lifetime.” Amash opposes central economic planning and believes it contributes to unemployment, inflation, and dangerous business cycles. He believes health insurance should not be mandatory, and he supports reforms that include allowing insurance companies to sell products across state lines and increasing access to health savings accounts. He believes that only Congress has the power to declare war. He believes that schools should be managed locally. He believes that the federal government should not improperly expand its powers using the General Welfare, Commerce, or Necessary and Proper clauses. In its October 25, 2010, issue, Amash was named one of Time magazine's "40 under 40 - Rising Stars of U.S. Politics." At the age of 30, Amash was the youngest federal candidate in the United States on the list of new civic leaders.

Amash has definitely lead the

Amash has definitely lead the charge against NDAA as well. We need him in Washington. Was also one of those early anti-SOPA voices before it was the popular thing to do.

Congress Is Broken

"Mr. No" can't fix it anymore than "Dr. No" did...not until there is a HUGE grassroots uprising that's bigger than all the special interests that have bought the votes of our representatives and senators.

The two-party system has destroyed our Republic's form of government...it's broke - in more ways than one.

Be seeing you.

Have not followed him enough to know

his entire message but on the surface it seems in line with Dr Pauls values and voting record. I'm hitting his Facebook like button so I can follow more closely and encourage others to do the same if you recognize his message as being in line with your values. https://www.facebook.com/justinamash

Finally pissed off enough to spread the word of Dr. Paul
Here's song I wrote for a close friend and wounded Iraq war veteran:

That's where he posts an explanation of every vote he takes in office.

I "liked" that page but

I "liked" that page but what's the deal with him not debating his rival? I'm sure there's a good reason but do you know?

It is easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled. – Mark Twain

I have been following Amash.

I have been following Amash. He is doing exactly what the people elected him to do. Now the rest of congress needs to fall in line.

After reading that

I'm really liking Amash. He really seems to be a true libertarian. He even endorsed Ron Paul and is refusing to endorse Mittens.
