Rand Paul Plays Hardball

Business Insider: Rand Paul Is Launching A Brutal Ad Campaign To Destroy Democrats Over Foreign Aid

Rand Paul is taking his mission to cut U.S. foreign aid to the voters this week with a series of campaign ads that target Senate Democrats who voted against his amendment to block U.S. aid to Pakistan, Egypt, and Libya.
The Kentucky Republican's political action committee, RAND PAC, went up with the first two ads this week, targeting West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin and Florida Senator Bill Nelson, two Democrats facing re-election challenges this November.

Holy Sheet!!!!

Rand isn't messing around. I have never heard of an individual senator having a PAC and targeting other senators. He just committed a cardinal sin against the brotherhood of the senate. He better look out. But I love this!!! He has brass balls.

Very Nice...

Good job Rand PAC!

This Is The Strategy

Rand Paul and these super packs need to launch ads like these to hold more politicians accountable. If they know that there vote will be broadcasted directly to the American people we might see a change in there vote, or rather a change in politicians.

We need to get an early start on 2016: Support Rand PAC 2016

This would've been better if

A) The tired "Radical Islam" slur wasn't thrown around. These are people who are fighting back against our Middle Eastern chess game.

B) Bemoaning our "crumbling roads and bridges" once again. Obviously, if you're a voluntarian or minarchist, you'll take issue with this statement, but even if you're not, we have some of the best civil infrastructure in the world. I almost jumped out of my seat at my Caucus when a state rep here in MN bragged about the "beautiful bridge" they built. WE DON'T NEED BEAUTIFUL BRIDGES. WE NEED FUNCTIONAL BRIDGES!

C) The insinuation that Foreign Aid is only bad when it's to countries that hate us. It's bad, period.

I know that Rand isn't responsible for this advertisement, but it's not doing a very good job at explaining the libertarian message.

its a start

what rand is doing is getting things going in right direction....leading by stop foreign aid in a few places ...then you add more and more...just like we were eased into all the shit the goverment is doing now...this is sort of a same thing but in opposite direction...ending it all at once is looked at as "extreme...rand is dumbing it down!...softening the blow! like end the fed ...became auditing the fed...knowing auditing would ultimately end it...alot of people viewed ron pauls ideas " to extreme" so rand is taking different approach...ending some foreign aid will snowball we see the need for it and that its doing us good!

Ron Paul still hits hard and stays consistant and keeps the non compramising people like the most of us on here are...motivated and fighting rand will spoonfeed it to the others that havent awaken yet! this is genius!

Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves...the land of liberty needs a regime change!

Come on buddy

Your A) Is 80% wrong. Our interventions over there has definitely helped with their recruiting for mobs/attacks, but the backward mindset has been widespread for decades and decades and decades.

If memory serves, the legislation was chucked...

with an 81-10 vote. I can't wait to see REPUBLICAN Rand's ads CALLING OUT THE REPUBLICANS WHO VOTED IT DOWN, RIGHT?

Oh... right... no, REPUBLICAN Rand is a REPUBLICAN and has NOTHING TO DO with truth, and EVERYTHING TO DO with "playing the REPUBLICAN game."

What was his "strategy" again? Play the Washington game... to stop Washington games? Kinda like Bush's "abandon the free market to save the free market system."

F Rand Paul!

Brother Winston Smith

The r3VOLution is NOT republiCAN.

they're obvious.

Anyone else see the problem with this video?

The fact that this video, Unsupported by any candidate, refers to protesters as radical extremists???

No way Rand would have approved this language. Oh, what a coincidence that there's now a backlash against Rand for this un-approved message.

Who runs 'RandPAC'? I smell wolf in sheep's clothing.

NATO (the US) destroyed Libya and stole their foreign assets.

They are killing civilians with drones in Pakistan and destabilised Egypt with their Arab Spring machinations. If Senator Paul highlighted and condemned these actions and demanded that the US stop interfering in these nations while paying them reparations then his demand to stop foreign aid to them would carry more weight with those of us who are awake.

He also does not demand stopping aid to Israel that has been designated as a "terror state" by the UN Goldstone Report after the Cast Lead operation which killed defenceless Palestinian women and children in cold blood with phosphorus munitions supplied by the US.

The point is that all these things are interconnected and focusing asymmetrically on one aspect has the same effect as treating them unjustly. The US has been very unjust already in its treatment of other nations for many decades. It is time for more than one US leader (Ron Paul) to recognise this and call for substantial change.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

he demands stopping aid to israel...

would only cause a shit storm and people would attack him...the masses wont listen...what he is doing is cant convince people israel is bad just like will take time to do have to consider the people he is dealing with in the senate AND the american are right in what you are saying...but his approach is better...starting off small and working bigger...starting with the most obvious and easily winnable battles is a good start...once people catch on and see where its will gain momentum...he is trying...and he is gaining ground...slowly ...but better than the direction we are heading already! why do you think neither ron paul or rand will even touch 9-11 ...cause even tho we know its inside job...alot of people cant grasp it...they get angry and shut down!

Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves...the land of liberty needs a regime change!

Good commercial.

But, it's a standard issue "now" info spot. I then have to treat it the way I would talking to the typical TeaGOP'er, 'what is the core cause thesee people are reacting to?

Great ad!

Rand is really on the mark with this campaign. Of all of the issues on which we differ with the political establishment, foreign aid is probably the one where They are the most vulnerable.

When it comes to rebuttal They have NOTHING.
When it comes to the American people, the vast majority are against squandering our resources in this manner.

The fact that Lindsey Graham has to play the "Israel" card in order to challenge Rand is a sign of just how vulnerable the neocons are on this issue.

Love it.

Floridian here, this is great. I hope Bill Nelson booted out of office. He's only marginally better than our Marco Rubio, who supported SOPA, PIPA, NDAA, etc.

It looks like a deal has

It looks like a deal has already been struck.

Russia 2nd Biggest Supplier in Iraq

Just penned a huge deal with Iraq. = 4.2 Billions in military hardware ie. attack helicopters

Now second biggest arms supplier to Iraqia

I'm shocked

This is actually one of the 1st latest threads involving Rand Paul that hasn't been voted down into oblivion.

Very smart strategy.

Very smart strategy. Targeting a Democratic Senator of a red state in a current issue that transcends partisan lines and at the same time advances the cause of liberty and Rand's prestige in the GOP. For those purists that hate Rand, I've said before and I'll say again, the liberty movement needs a player, we already have our messenger (Ron Paul), Rand can be effective for those that are too brainwashed by the media or by public school indoctrination to understand monetary policy and the military industrial complex.

"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." Ben Franklin

Rand is going to be such a

Rand is going to be such a target of the Dems when/if he runs for re-election.

Not if we can help

it, this is why we all need to get behind Rand.

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

Yes! Go Randy!

WE don't mind that you helped cut the legs off your fathers campaign! We think you're great for endorsing Rombama! We KNOW you REAALY don't mean it! You are just a pretend Neocon! You crafty pol, you!!

Why is he only targeting

Why is he only targeting democrats?

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

Because it makes it look like

Because it makes it look like he is still supporting his party while still accomplishing results.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

That's a fair point. It seems

That's a fair point. It seems even Lindsey Graham is less partisan..

That being said, better something than nothing. He's helping out anti-foreign aid Tea Partiers.

To everyone complaining that Rand is not Ron, I have been saying over and over again- Rand is playing for keeps. He is not a teacher/messenger/inspirerer, he is playing to WIN THE PRESIDENCY.

Go Rand. Yes, Rand plays hardball. The real kind, not what

Chris Matthews does.

It is beyond ridiculous that

It is beyond ridiculous that we continue to send approximately $60 billion per year to other countries while our deficit is running over 1 trillion per year. Even sending $3 billion or so to your "friends" like Israel is foolish. Who would borrow money while they are in debt an give it to their friend year after year? No one.

"Where liberty is, there is my country." -Benjamin Franklin

This is hot

Should run it in every state. It could easily be edited for different Democrat Senators who voted for that aid bill.
