Gary Johnson Makes Case To Ron Paul Supporters In 2 Minute Ad

"Be Libertarian with me for one election," Gov. Johnson says in the video. "Together we'll show the world and the nation that what Ron Paul has stood for is not a fluke — it's the future." Also mentioned in the video, as per a previous article I wrote, is with Ron Paul supporters' help, Johnson could obtain at least 5% of the vote which would make things much simpler for a liberty candidate to be on the ballot in all 50 states in 2016 and make that candidate a true contender against the Republicans and Democrats.

I view this an opportunity...

... to send two parties a message:

To show the GOP that they need to nominate candidates who uphold the unalienable right of Liberty...

And to show the Libertarian Party/Liberty movement in general that they need to nominate candidates who also uphold the unalienable right of Life, as does Dr. Paul.

If the Libertarians try to pressure and cajole people like me to ignore my conscience and vote for the Gary Johnsons and there is a risk that the Liberty movement will not put forward folks like Dr. Paul and Judge Nap who are both pro-Liberty and pro-Life in the future, why should I encourage that by voting for Gary? No, this is an opportunity to say, hey -- don't start drifting away from the combination of views that Dr. Paul has that enabled him to gather as broad a coalition of support as he was able to.

So, GOP and Libertarians -- you're both on notice! :)

By the way...

... for those of you who would cajole pro-Life-and-Liberty folks to 'take one for the team' and vote for Gary, don't you realize how eerily similar you sound compared to a Republican cajoling you and me to 'take one for the team' and vote for Romney?

I understand what some people

I understand what some people don't like about Gary Johnson, but in the grand scheme of things... you people who are probably going to write in Ron Paul's name for the rest of your life (if we continue to have elections) are delusional. Ron Paul WAS obviously the best choice, bar none, no question, a revolutionary.

Having said that, Gary Johnson is a very strong candiate and deserves a listen and a chance from each individual believer in liberty. THIS IS POLITICS... its the dirtiest, mafia game of cat and mouse the world has ever seen. To believe that you not voting for Gary Johnson or anyone other than Paul makes you a better person than those who choose to vote otherwise is childish, naive, selfish, and, again, delusional. For what? It makes you sleep better at night because you're more "pure".

The facts are if he does get 5%, than in 2016 there will be a third voice on the debate stage. Some of you say Johnson is a neocon. If he was a neocon, he would be on that debate stage... he would have millions and millions of dollars to spend on his campaign, but he doesn't. Like Ron, he is dependent on small contributions. Although I do not support publicly funded elections.... I strongly believe that in order to unwind the massive roller coaster of the illusion of a two party known as the state, that we need to hear voices and have more options. This isn't for us, the informed, critical voter who has become aware of the criminal activity and fraud, this is for the normal, average voter who works, supports a family, and simply doesn't have time to do independent research. THESE are the people who need to hear the truth.

Vote for Johnson, Dont... I dont care... but to disrespect or act like somehow YOU know how to solve the worlds problems and YOUR way is the RIGHT way is wrong. Like him or not, he's the best candidate running right now and can make history if he gets 5% of the vote.

Their motto is "Dont Tread On Me"...

I know there are a lot of

I know there are a lot of die-hard nobody-except-Paul people, and I thank you for your efforts, but I do not understand anyone who would prefer to write-in Ron Paul as opposed to casting a vote that has more of an impact. Everyone knows the Johnson votes are the Paul movement. You're not abandoning your principles by voting for the Libertarian nominee, at least not in this case. His results will get more coverage than write-ins for Paul. Oh well. Everyone do what feels right to you, but I will definitely be voting for Gary Johnson.

I wasn't going to vote but Gary Johnson come the closest to Paul

I will consider it, what do we have to lose???

If it's between not voting

If it's between not voting and voting for Johnson, please vote for Johnson. If you stay home, you just lump yourself in with the 40-50% of Americans who do not show up to vote. If you vote for Johnson, you send a message that you do care enough to show up and cast a vote, but you will not support either of the big money candidates.

Libertarians and collectivism

is a conflict.
But without using the tools of collectivism in the current situation getting anything done is impossible.
Libertarianism will stay a fringe.
What is needed is a big collective action to get you back on track. Then be as individualistic as you want to be.

I think the best thing that can be done is pick your favorite that is running and start changing your country.
Forget about writing in RP, what will it accomplish, only a good feeling?
It does not have to be GJ, pick anyone except the 2 monkeys.
But if you do choose together for one and that one gets more than 10% you are on your way to a system with more parties.
Vote for the less perfect as nobody running is.

Sorry Gary..... but no.
