Paul Ryan Sinks Himself In VP Debate With Joe Biden

Congressman Paul Ryan spoke clearly during Thursday's vice presidential debate at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. But he failed to articulate any substantial differences between the Republican political team he represented and the Obama administration represented by Vice President Joe Biden.

Perhaps the best two-liner of the night was Biden's “What would my friend do differently? If you notice, he never answers the question.”

Ryan criticized the Obama administration on issue after issue, including sanctions against Iran, withdrawal from Iraq, and spending. Yet he failed to provide any specifics about how the Romney-Ryan team would offer a significant change from the Obama administration.

“This is not what a real recovery looks like,” Ryan said during the debate. “We're offering real reforms for a real recovery for every American.” But when moderator and ABC News reporter Martha Raddatz asked Ryan to articulate the details of the Romney-Ryan tax plan to cut tax rates across the board and eliminate loopholes, the Wisconsin congressman repeatedly declined to offer specifics:

That's because...

...the only platform of Romney/Ryan is "we're not Obama"

"Sink a boat"

Practiced in the art of deception.

Ryan is an asshat...

somebody needs to tell Ryan that we were kicked out of Iraq. We left under fire. There was no ticker tape parade because we lost that war. Iraq kicked us out.

Let's see..we were defeated by the little commies in black pajama's in Viet Nam.

We were defeated by the 7th century cave dwellers in Pipelinestan.

And yes we lost to a small country, whoose military was decimated ten years earlier. No navy, air force or even an army that was loyal to the cause.

Epic Fail. We should give up war....we are not very good at it anymore.

I watched

a whole 2 minutes of the debate. Was just long enough to hear both of the puppets talk about nothing then I had to go vomit.

WHY CAN'T AMERICANS WAKE UP?? SOOOOOO FRUSTRATING!!!

It's funny because in his

It's funny because in his closing statement Paul Ryan said that he and Romney won't dodge the tough questions, which ironically they've done for the whole campaign.

Looks like Biden came across

as a smart alec to me. His flippy attitude reminds me of Obama. Enough of these party boys.

Really?

I found it refreshing. FINALLY, someone in the establishment found their nutsack long enough to call Romney/Ryan on their OBVIOUS bullshit! I don't blame him for smirking and laughing at Ryan all night... Ryan's a joke and deserves to be ridiculed.

I don't play, I commission the league.

Well, actually, BOTH R and D Pres & VP are sinking themselves

and dragging the entire country with them . . . deep deep into the murky quagmire of debt & blood (of victims of wars of aggression).

Thank you.

That was my first reaction when reading the title of this post. I don't see how you can say that Paul Ryan sank in this debate without conceding that so did Biden. Both tout a failed foreign policy. This is a prime example of a debate that would have been better suited by having a third party candidate.

Oh

"But he failed to articulate any substantial differences between the Republican political team he represented and the Obama administration represented by Vice President Joe Biden."

I wonder why that is hmmm...
