I want to personally thank a certain member of the DP

Hey guys, we all claim to be 'independently minded', yet, it seems that the DP is plagued with a hostile zeitgiest as of late toward a certain member.

I have taken a sabbatical to concentrate on my studies for the ministry, however, I come on time to time to read arguments usually from my Android at work.

There is someone on here who is super brave and deserves at the very least our respect. That person is: The Granger. I too have had personal disagreements with her in the past, but never was I vicious, rude or condescending in my very minor disagreements with her.

She is someone who is especially brave who advocates her positions with no apologies. She is uncompromising and truthful about her intentions. She of course also has the requisite background needed to be a Ron Paul supporter. In light of all of this, there are many who pounce on her even as they make similar arguments for their preferred choice in moving the ball forward.

I advocate to not knee-jerk down vote her. Also, do not respond unless you have something of substance to say. No stupid slogans or mottos that end up taking away all the thinking and also detract from her main points.

The Granger is a very welcomed member of the DP community, as all members are. I love and support her in her efforts. We should do the same as we all have the same goal.

If we are champions of peace, should we not make peace with our brothers and sisters on our side first before we challenge the Power-Elite? This is something central to our cause.

Any who, you can now return back to your daily scheduled programing of mainstream media lies, cover ups, distortions, distractions and of course something the mainstream will never talk about... the Truth.

Granger is not a bad person...

And while I have expressed to her many times in our various exchanges that I admire the fact that she has joined the GOP and is working to get constitutional conservatives elected, she is absolutely wrong in insisting that if we vote for Romney, it would somehow benefit the Liberty Movement.

This is where she is fundamentally wrong. She believes that Romney is a better person and would make a better President than Obama. I, as most of us here believe, that while both options are terrible, Romney is thousands of times more despicable than Obama and would ensure the death our movement as it stands for everything he is against - freedom, peace, sound economics and liberty.

A vote for Romney is an endorsement of the status quo and the actions they took to defraud the Liberty Movement during the nomination process this year. A vote for Romney is a slap in the face of all of the delegates that were robbed in Tampa and anyone who worked and donated to the Ron Paul campaign. A vote for Romney is a slap in the face of the active duty military and veterans that took a stand against our military expansion by supporting Ron Paul.

A vote for Romney is a vote against the constitution and everything this country was built on.

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

How is Romney worse than

How is Romney worse than Obama? How the hell does Obama get a free ride? He's a mass murderer.

They are both horrible people...

With zero integrity and malicious intent to destroy our country and our constitution.

Do you think that Romney wouldn't have done the same thing or even worse? Come on, you know his Neocon bosses are unhappy that Obama has not killed more innocent people than he already has, which is why they are backing Romney.

Romney has already proven himself to be petty and devious as his actions throughout his campaign and during the Tampa conventions have demonstrated.

The reality is that Obama and Romney are flat out horrible people that care only about satisfying the needs of the corrupt lobbyists that fund their campaigns. But a Romney win would prove to the GOP elites that our movements and policies are insignificant and would justify their actions of fraud and violence.

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I agree. Romney is probably

I agree. Romney is probably the lesser of two evils. That doesn't make him electable though.

I disagree...

Romney is much much worse. But, I agree they both truly are unelectable...

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Granger has always encouraged

Granger has always encouraged me to vote my conscience. I told her early on that I could not vote for Romney and she was supportive of my decision.

She flip flops on that position on a regular basis...

Granger should be aware

that the GOP will purge any and all who have shown any type of independence and who do not march lock step with their agenda. Any insistence that they are upset with the RNC for its dirty doings during the campaign and Convention are the makings of a delusional mind. Now , of all times, is the time to demonstrate to a Party what occurs when the leadership decides to dis enfranchise a sizable portion of it's membership and that working within and voting for the individual they anointed will do nothing for the cause of liberty. The slippery slope Granger has embarked upon will lead to one of two outcomes, either she will be totally indoctrinated by the party upper echelons agenda and in so doing become that which she claims to despise or she will be relegated to a fringe area after this election cycle where she can be further manipulated to an ineffective threat to the status quo.

There are no politicians or bankers in foxholes.

The people in Minnesota

The people in Minnesota seemed to take over their GOP and ran a fair election. Why can it not be that way in Cali?

Just got off the phone with my friend in Minnesota

It is a totally open election from beginning to end. One of the few states that allow this. Check it out! Ron Paul is on the Ballot! Fanfriggentastic! Guess who he is voting for?

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

If not us, than who will take the GOP?

My committee is abpout to get a majority of Ron Paul Republicans.. how will they kick us out?

You keep on rockin' and

You keep on rockin' and rollin', Granger.

School's fine. Just don't let it get in the way of thinking. -Me

I don't believe the GOP will

I don't believe the GOP will be able to purge all of the people who don't "march lock step with their agenda." They weren't able to purge Ron Paul in all those years he went against the grain.

In my county we have a very sizable and growing minority on the executive committee. Couple that with the set of people who are willing to vote their conscience and don't cower to the existing establishment we have enough people to prevent the purging.

That may not be true in every county, but gradually I believe constitutionalists will be able to win the party.

I don't pay attention to people's call signs here so I don't really know who Granger is, but I suspect from the comments I see below that she is merely someone who is taking this goal of changing the Republican party seriously, as am I.

Nobody is safe from purging

TPTB in the GOP have been known to use committee De-certification to facilitate a purge agenda. After you experience it, or witness it a time or two you may find your self in my shoes 20 years from now, listening to some optimistic eager young Republican deliver this same promising pitch. You can not win against the house when the house can invent and change rules any time during the game.

Nothing is secret, secure, or sacred, in power politics. It's a blood sport business and bribery, blackmail, and coercion are the basic tools of the trade.

To paraphrase [I think it was Barry Hess], "To say I could thrive in a corrupt organization would only draw questions as to my own moral character." There are worse things a committee person can lose than their seat.

Fancy Shmancy Fine Print:

There are worse things a committee person can lose

I petitioned for signatures as a Ron Paiul Republican, introduced myself to the committee as a Ron Paul Republican, and while I'm not alone, I have found support from Tea Partiers, Earthquakers, Constituionalists, Fiscal Conservatives.. none who wanted Romney.. I'm showing up and having a great time.

Now what's this thing about a CA Judge? Do I know one? Not to my mind,, what did I do? How did I fool a CA or Ferderal Judge?

What in the world are

What in the world are "Earthquakers"? Quakers from California?

The RNC purged our delegates in Tampa quickly enough,...

when they saw our numbers growing. They have always let Ron Paul hangout in the breeze because he was portrayed as the crazy uncle in the House. That changed when a strong following arose, and Rand Paul was elected to the Senate. They will keep a lid on any sizable Liberty support by the same way in the next election to maintain the status quo tyranny for the foreseeable future. They will not permit our numbers to grow to make any significant changes.

The reason I have always

The reason I have always stood by Granger is that she is a DOER and also persistent and stands by her beliefs. She is a patriot, doing and talking about what she thinks is best. Many times I have been inspired by her writings, and happy she has not given up on this forum. Oftimes I have been appalled at the flak she gets. Personally, I am on a fence. The GOP candidates running locally here are not for the Constitution, no matter their rhetoric. They have voted for mandatory fluoridation of the public water. They have voted to make people in OTHER states pay AR sales tax if they buy something online from an Arkansan with NO representation in the state, and much else. These are the only candidates running. I am quite fed up with the party, and do not know where to turn.

I'm staying in the GOP and

I'm staying in the GOP and keeping my precinct chair spot. I'm going to vote for 2 or 3 Rs in the local/state/fed races. Beyond those few, the Rs are big-government frauds and I will vote against them.

I'm already getting excited for 2014 and 2016! I'm glad I am staying involved in the GOP while voting by my principles.

was a doer and was persistent and stood by his beliefs.

So was Ron Paul

the logical fallacy of Ad Hilterium strikes again. I wonder if Ron Paul was Hitler.

the point is...

many people stand by their beliefs and are persistent. that is not something that deserves praise. some of the biggest despots of the world were doers, stood by their beliefs and were persistent. that doesn't make them good or bad or right or wrong, and it is nothing to praise. often, it is the most ignorant and closed minded person that is the most persistent in their beliefs and, even when confronted with mounds of evidence contradicting the validity of their beliefs, stand by them no matter what.

you should stand by someone because of their beliefs, not because of how persistent they are about their beliefs. pretty simple really.

I thank her for being a doer

and expressing unpopular opinions on the DP and taking them in relatively good stride. If it was me, I would already gotten so angry I would of exploded.

I am just as Rothbardian as the next Misian, but there is a time and place for purity, and there is a time for alliances, crafting deals, and other such 'unsavory' things. Granger is in the perfect position to be our bridgebuilder. People wish to burn ALL the bridges to be pure, so be it. I support bridges, talking to our enemies, and working out differences. Sounds like someone's foreign policy. I am glad I am at least consistent with things.

she's doin' allright

she is a neocon lapdog republican establishment shill that got appointed to an empty seat on a committee no one else wanted and now she has become one of "them".

she is willing to give up any iota of principles she might of had in order to please her shepard...the honorable (note the sarcasm) committee chair. maybe if she licks enough boots she can be appointed another, higher position within the establishment. then she will try to convince us all that she was trying to compromise so that she could "empower Ron Paul republican", when we all know she is just an establishment go-along-to-get-along shill.

As a fellow "Ron Paul RepubliCAN"....

I thought I would add my two (fiat) cents:

1) I am also voting for Romney for LOCAL political reasons. My one vote does not mean squat to the election (if Romney wins because Iowa went GOP by ONE vote then you all have my permission to hate me for the rest of your lives) but my integrity does. I said I would vote for the GOP nominee so I will. It is making it a whole lot easier to get my local GOP to listen to me and respect my leadership. Plus it lets me get past the endless (and pointless) "If you don't vote for Romney it is a vote for Obama" debates.

2) I am NOT "endorsing" Romney for the same reasons Dr. Paul is not.

3) I helped set up a local GOP election headquarters that is distributing campaign literature for ALL of the GOP candidates (including our congressional candidate who is MUCH better than his incumbent, Obama-style Democrat opponent).

It also will be distributing anti-Agenda 21 literature. (Which is in line with our state and national platforms thanks to OUR delegates and fellow travelers within the GOP).

4) I would also like to thank Granger for having the integrity to admit to herself that her previous political strategies were dead ends and the courage to share her insights with the rest of us on the Daily Paul.

5) I have no problem with any of you that think what Granger and I (and more than a few others) are doing inside the GOP is futile and/or too little too late. You may be right. But I won't bet my children's future on it. And I will continue to promote what I think is the best strategy for our common goals.

The Virtual Conspiracy

I no longer have a problem with this

As we liberty-loving people will have the benefit on "I told you so" in a couple of years if Romney wins - even by one vote. ;D

So, there's no animosity towards you from me.

So I won't look to remind; rather I en-courage release of the prisoners .

There is something about the conservative's constitution that inclines them towards retentiveness.

I would encourage that long term wallowing in mire is a debilitating dirty business with heavy toxic personal consequences.

Do you not have a secret

Do you not have a secret ballot for voting?
Is a liberal gun-grabber who you want to support for Pres? Vote your principles.

The contradictions with your post are striking.

For your consideration:

First you say that you are voting for Romney, but later you say that you do not endorse him. A vote is an endorsement, and it is in fact more than an endorsement. A vote is whole-hearted support for someone. You believe in someone enough to vote for them. Do you really?

By your support for Romney, you are actually pro-Agenda 21 rather than anti-Agenda 21. I say that because, by your actions, you support Agenda 21. What is Agenda 21? Answer: UN brainwashed people willingly walking off of a cliff for the good of the earth, while the elites continue to enjoy their lavish lifestyle in a depopulated world. You are willingly walking off of the political cliff for the good of the hopeful future of the GOP, thereby allowing the RNC to continue their political tyranny now. The past is gone and the future may never arrive. The present is all that matters. Do the right thing now.
