Where's the support for FreeAtLast2008.com???
Instead of paying money to support a recount that our candidate doesn't even want, we need to throw support behind the next fundraising day, which is January 21st (only 1 week away!). As of this evening, there were only 8,300 subscribers. This event is critical for a couple of reasons:
1. The cost of supporting campaign efforts in the SuperTuesday states is very high, and we need to give Dr. Paul every means to succeed on that critical day.
2. Creating headlines from another huge fundraising day on MLK day will go a long way to show that neither Dr. Paul nor his supporters fit the racist label they're trying to stick on us.
I've seen a lot of criticism of the Campaign HQ, and maybe some of it is justified. Good or bad, these are the cards we've been dealt and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy if we stop supporting Dr. Paul now.
We only get to do this once!!
I think we've lost a lot of support to Obama...
which is fine by me, those people weren't really Conservatives anyhow. They will like the big government nanny-state Obama will bring and they will lovingly pay they higher taxes that will come along with them. Of course, our campaign has taken a hit recently with the two early primaries and I think we were totally unprepared for the MSM blackout tactics against RP, which no doubt cost us a couple thousand "on the fence" voters who may have been leaning Ron Paul the week prior to the primary. I recall 14% a week before New Hampshire, but only 8% voted thanks to a 3 day blackout.
We just have to continue to build a base of true believers in freedom and individual liberty.
PS The Bullcrap I read here about only 7% of Americans are reached by the MSM is absurd. I would bet only 7% are NOT reached by the MSM. Why do you think we call it the MAINSTREAM MEDIA?

Grannies should support MLK day event
I love the Grannies and all they've accomplished, but when a lot (if not all) of the justification for the recount has been resolved, and more importantly Dr. Paul himself doesn't want to pursue the recount, our time and money would be better spent trying to get the most out of the FreeAtLast fundraising event on the 21st.

Remember if money is tight, sign up anyway and send in just $10---show your support as part of an army. The number of donors can be more powerful than the total raised---so encourage everyone to send at least Ten Bucks!

but Ron Paul could have registered for matching funds; it's against his principles but, borrowing from RP, "I'd love to see the government spend money on RP." at this point, my time and energy is getting to caucus and being a precinct chair.

I hope you all will too. Given the bogus racist charges, I think that it makes it even more important to support Dr. Ron Paul on Dr. King's birthday. They are both champions of liberty and I doubt that in the future you will be able to speak of one without mentioning the other.

MLK bomb too late and everyone knows it.
We can all get out and march on MLK that's totally cool. I love the march idea.
But how is giving a money bomb just a few days before the primary is decided going to change things? Can they possibly put that money to use in the last few days and really change peoples minds with a few days left before super tuesday? I think that and the fact that people are tapped out or close to it are factors. Personally I tapped out and my wife has very little left to give.
We should have chosen a date that sooner than MLK day. I think people should be giving there best donation right away just like RP said the day of the NH primary.
Looks like MLK day money bomb is a dud, only $80K projected so far but we can get out and march that'll be cool.

You're entitled to thinking that it will still matter after the first 26 states... I personally don't think it will. Like I said I'm up against the cap, are you? And I gave out 30 DVDs this weekend and ordered another 100 more so I think I'm entitled to my little opinion on giving sooner rather than later. BTW, writing in all caps doesn't make your backlash look any better.

One of the biggest problems is the site is hard to find. When I saw Ron Paul declare the MLK day on the CNN interview I decided to pledge my support. I googled ron paul mlk and all I got was ron paul = racist crap. We need to google bomb this site better, it needs to be at the front of any Ron Paul mlk searches.
BTW it took me quite a while to find the official site even with changing the search terms.

I keep shouting out, I hope I am being heard. We need to raise AT LEAST 1/3 ot the 23 Million needed in order to keep this campaign rolling. If we could just raise the SUGGESTED donation to $100.to $125, I think we could make quite a big dent in this 23 Million dollar need. I am promoting this everywhere and I truly hope people will get on board. I think once the ball starts rolling, everything will work out fine. But we need people to throw in as much as they can this time around. This could be he whole ball of wax. Thanks!
