Sen. Rand Paul takes aim at both major parties in visit to Athens

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, visited Athens County GOP headquarters Friday afternoon, stumping for the Republican 2012 slate of candidates. But this wasn't your typical campaign speech.

Paul used the opportunity to slam the whole of Washington for what he deems its spending problems, hitting Democrats and Republicans alike for refusing to begin making even limited cuts in international spending.

He takes infiltration a step further

He takes infiltration a step further. Pseudo-supporting Romney while openly criticizing the establishment's policies. Not everyone will agree with his approach, but I still strongly support him.

Hmmm... I missed Rand "slamming"...

specific Republicans about voting FOR "foreign aid to our enemies."

I missed Rand "champion of Constitutional Liberty" Paul's slamming of REPUBLICAN Rob Portman in swing state Ohio, who voted for enemy-aid. The same Rob Portman who's one of six REPUBLICANS CHOSEN FOR THE "DEFICIT REDUCTION PANEL."

I missed Rand "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" Paul slamming REPUBLICAN Jon Kyl, for voting for enemy-aid.. who's ALSO ON THAT PANEL!!!!!!!!

I missed Rand "chip off the ol' block" Paul slamming REPUBLICANS in any blistering ads... like he did key democrats.

Brother Winston Smith

The r3VOLution is NOT republiCAN.

Here I thought he'd gone to Greece

Athens has a rebellion history!!!

The Battle of Athens (sometimes called the McMinn County War) was a rebellion led by citizens in Athens and Etowah, Tennessee, United States, against the local government in August 1946. The citizens, including some World War II veterans, accused the local officials of political corruption and voter intimidation. The event is sometimes cited by firearms ownership advocates as an example of the value of the Second Amendment in combating tyranny.

He was in Athens Ohio, not

He was in Athens Ohio, not Athens Tennessee two different cities. Athens ohio is a small town home of Ohio University Bobcats main campus.

I see

I see that. My bad. lol They don't even mention what state except once at the end of the article. Still is a cool story I posted anyways. lol

Seeing the "Rand SLAMS..." stories, reminds me of the "McCain SLAMS..." or "McConnell SLAMS..." or "Boehner SLAMS..." They're just words.

...then he bent over. (well... actually, he kicked Liberty in the bells... THEN he bent over)

Absolutely Brilliant

Absolutely brilliant. All you Rand haters out there should read this article. Think about this; he's puting himself out there in front of large mainstream republican audiences talking about the same thing that his father did...and these people are eating-it-up! If he would not have given Romney the half-hearted, lip-service endorsement then no one would even be listening to him and he wouldn't be campaigning across the nation promoting liberty.

He gained a leftist (AGING) boomer... but lost this Constitutional Libertarian FOREVER. I'm not catching... the brilliance.

Brother Winston Smith

The r3VOLution is NOT republiCAN.

Here's the brilliance:

Those "leftist" (AGING) boomers outnumber all the Constitutional Libertarians in this country 5-1. If he decides to run for president, he'll have the support it takes to win the Republican nomination (unlike his father who lost the "leftist" (AGING) boomer vote and didn't even win all of the Constitutional Libertarian vote).

Good luck

Cut me OUT. Democratic corrections have long passed. 20+ illegal aliens WHO ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE... welfare maggots reproducing like flies... ON MY DIME... good luck. Government-dependent boomers (who will NOT VOTE FOR ANYONE who WHISPERS the words "cut" "abolish" or "reduce," NO MATTER WHAT THEY CLAIM TO SUPPORT... voter fraud...

Good luck.

I only wish we had heeded my calls to strengthen the Constitution Party decades ago. We would be a MONSTER PARTY now. But I was laughed at... much like the laughter now.

And for the record... the SELLOUT'S father HAD THE VOTES!!!!!!! He HAD THE SUPPORT FOR A NOMINATION AND HE FOR DAMN SURE HAD THE SUPPORT FOR A GENERAL ELECTION!!!!! But the LEFTIST GOP didn't like it. So they cheated. And now Obama WILL BE REELECTED.

Good luck.

This is front page material.
