Excellent work.

I hate to see a good piece like this one having flawed information that neo-cons can attack.

I know RMoney has flip flopped on abortion and even counseled church members to get an abortion.

Here is his web page;

Abortion
http://www.mittromney.com/issues/values
Mitt Romney is pro-life. He believes it speaks well of the country that almost all Americans recognize that abortion is a problem. And in the quiet of conscience, people of both political parties know that more than a million abortions a year cannot be squared with the good heart of America.

Mitt believes that life begins at conception and wishes that the laws of our nation reflected that view. But while the nation remains so divided, he believes that the right next step is for the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade – a case of blatant judicial activism that took a decision that should be left to the people and placed it in the hands of unelected judges. With Roe overturned, states will be empowered through the democratic process to determine their own abortion laws and not have them dictated by judicial mandate.

Mitt supports the Hyde Amendment, which broadly bars the use of federal funds for abortions. As president, he will end federal funding for abortion advocates like Planned Parenthood. He will protect the right of health care workers to follow their conscience in their work. And he will nominate judges who know the difference between personal opinion and the law.

Because the good heart of America knows no boundaries, a commitment to protecting life should not stop at the water’s edge. Taking innocent life is always wrong and always tragic, wherever it happens. The compassionate instincts of this country should not be silent in the face of injustices like China’s One-Child policy. No one will ever hear a President Romney or his vice president tell the Chinese government that "I fully understand" and won’t “second guess” compulsory sterilization and forced abortion.

Americans have a moral duty to uphold the sanctity of life and protect the weakest, most vulnerable and most innocent among us. As president, Mitt will ensure that American laws reflect America’s values of preserving life at home and abroad.

I see Barracuda_Trader got some 'dislikes'...

Will anyone care to explain if there is anything false about the information provided concerning Romney's abortion policy? I am asking sincerely. Or is it incorrect to defend the lives of the unborn? What is wrong with this comment?

I'm guessing

most think that Romney's stance on abortion is insincere - and R/R supports abortion in rape cases, for health of mother, etc.

I'm as pro-life as they come

I CHOSE life for my child, when under the circumstances most would have aborted. An infertile couple raised a beautiful boy, who is now a wonderful, educated young man, with contributions to make to our society.

If I had CHOSEN to abort, the world would have been worse off without him. I'd have never know what he looked like or how awesome he'd turn out to be.

But, I don't believe the Feds have a right to legislate on this - only the individual states. The Feds interfere with everything else in our lives. At least on a state level, our votes will count for something.

But remember, the important thing is to VOTE!

Pick one, go ahead, you HAVE to or you are throwing your vote away.
I saw someone with a bumper sticker griping about Obamacare. I agree, it is an awful idea, so I had better vote for the author...

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

Just something as a random act of kindness that is a positive way to start the day, among all the gnarly news of Rombama.

Thanks for helping.

Obama is brown and Romney needs a tan. Hahahahahahah, well that's all it takes for people that get "Obama phones" right?

Sure there are differences!

They are...ummm...uhhh...well um...I know they uh...hmm? Oh, I know...one has boys and the other has girls!!!

Regarding the Carbon Tax

For some reason people have it in their mind that *all* taxes are bad. They're not.

Generally the libertarian principle is that you tax things you don't want people to do (I read this in one of Dr. Paul's books, can't remember which one, sorry!!).

This is why the Income Tax is bad. Because you WANT people to earn an income, so don't tax it. Tax things like pollution so it adds a free market method of cleaning the environment and prevents more disasters than regulations ever will.

Companies weigh up the cost of all options. If it costs more to pollute directly (currently, almost free) than to find methods to reduce emissions or pollution, then the company will find a way to reduce pollution or dispose of it in a better way.

"Tax" is such a dirty word these days because we have so much of it. Government can't function without it, but government shouldn't be as big as it is. We need a much smaller government, but still need *some* (albeit, appropriate) taxes to enable that government to function. Excessive Tax should be shunned. Appropriate Taxes should be encouraged.

Ron Paul's stance on

Ron Paul's stance on pollution is it should be a property right issue. Not a regulation (tax) issue.

True, but....

the largest and most prolific polluters don't pay carbon tax, including Big oil, Big gas, airline companies, the Military, and many others. It is only small companies that get landed with it.
Carbon tax and credits is a fraudulent scheme dreamt up by the World Bank.

Gary Johnson would make a nice contrast, too.

Neon Orange!

An excellent color choice for the time of year! Copies would also make terrific reading material for public bathrooms and seating areas in malls and such. Knowledge is power...glad everyone is passing it on!
