Sorry folks, didn't mean to come across negative. Not the intention here, just trying to bring up another (although minor) side of the MLK money bomb implications. I agree, there are unfounded speculations in this post, but again just trying to bring up every viewpoint I can think of to motivate folks who might be on the fence.

MLK Money Bomb comes WAY short? If it does, here's why the campaign may lose some strength..
Given the recent racist allegations towards Ron Paul, if MLK money bomb comes in at 50%, 20%, whatever of the Tea Party bomb, I don't care if the AARP NATIONAL president comes forward to say Ron Paul isn't racist, the MSM WILL sieze the opportunity and paint ALL Ron Paul supporters as racist. MSM Proof? Look, Tea Party brought in $6M+, MLK bomb falls short at $3M.
I don't care if it's BS or not, that's the picture that MSM will paint. If that's how it winds up, I WILL be taking down the RP signs on my car, in my townhouse windows, etc because I do not want to have my car keyed, windows broken, etc. due to retaliations by people that may think I am racist as a result. Call me a coward, feel free to say I am not dedicated to the cause, fine. But that's what will happen with me, and I guarantee you that's what will happen with a lot of others.
I donated $100 in Nov, $250 on the Tea Party, and plan to jump up to $500 on MLK day, but others must also donate or we could lose a lot of "ground support" because of the way MSM will portray Ron Paul supporters if the MLK money bomb comes short.
Just my two cents. Don't attack me for being selfish, but trust me, many others are thinking the same way but just not stating it.

...like me! I googled Dr. Paul after the Tea Party and I've thrown my full support behind him. The movement is growing! On Jan. 21st I'm looking forward to contributing for the first time (to any candidate) to Dr. Ron Paul. You fail to see that he is picking up supporters along the way. Have hope! The Revolution has just begun to fight!
the real problem with the money bombs
is that a lot of supporters are maxed out, either by the 2300 limit or by the fact that people have extended themselves as far as they can. The only way to combat that problem is to get NEW supporters. There is no way we will raise several million dollars in another money bomb, so I wouldn't gear yourself up for disappointment if it doesn't happen. We need to get out and knock on doors and get new supporters. Also, don't let any of your good friends go without constant pestering, even if it makes you less popular at parties for a while. Because if you can convert your good friends then you will have the ears of people with whom you can go a step further by asking them not only to vote for Ron Paul but also to donate. You won't have that opportunity with a stranger you hand a slim jim. Also, PUT UP SIGNS for crying out loud! At the very least, you better have a yard sign and a bumper sticker. With no media coverage sign quantity is all we've got to prove that Ron Paul is not a fringe candidate. I see the user level declining on this site, but we can't give up. We have until November to win the public and God only knows what is going to happen in this country between now and then, so keep at it. This ain't for wussies!
So, if a Romney supporter walks up to your house...
and threatens to key your car unless you vote for their candidate, you'll do it? If that's the case, just support Romney (or whoever) now. When it comes time to vote, give me your address and I'll drive by and yell BOO! You'll vote for Ron Paul and won't have to fear so much.
Now, of course I'm trying to be funny, but can't you see how ridiculous it is to live without convictions and let fear drive you?

I apologize, I am NOT trying to provoke a debate or flame war with this post, just trying to honestly bring up a topic outside the realm of traditional thought, that could influence someone to donate $15 instead of $10. I know, I know, people will donate what they can or want, but the rule of large numbers dictates that we need to gather as much support as possible with as many logical points as possible to support our cause. This was just one point (and a lesser one, at that) of many, but I don't see how it could hurt. I DO apologize, however, if it came across negative. Just trying to motivate every way possible, folks.

If your neighbors would do that they probably don't follow the news closely enough to even know who Ron Paul is. (One exception: college towns, a bad mix of alcohol and self-righteousness)
Some in the media may spin it, but I don't think it will get much press regardless of the size since it falls right after SC.

The media could paint us as racist if we made 20milion in one day or 100.00. Your logic is flawed. What needs to happen is people just donate like they want to. I am maxed out already and don't care if it was Gandies birthday I would have donated just to help .. if people are just donating because its about deflecting some smear then they are donating for the wrong reason.. donate anyway but remember your donating to buy airtime to educate the populace of well trained media zombies.. i.e. citizens that dont have time to think deeply about the issues.. they jump through hoops for a story about britteny.. steriods or weather Hillary or Obama are racist or what not. Your job is clear.. donate, canvis and please become a precinct leader.. But dont tell us that just because we dont make X amount of money our campaign is racist or will be thought as one.. I say screw what others think.. We need to communicate truth.. thats all.

There are two of us donating for a few that might not be able to afford as much..
One thing... the 21st has not been PROMOTED nearly as much as either of the two other events..
Another thing... I have many many well mostly minoritiy friends.. hispanics and asian... they are voting for Ron Paul.. and think the whole racist stuff was a planned attack to stop the momentum he has been building...
This is the opinion of several of my minority buddies!!
P.S... I've yet to meet a minority that has put ANY weight in the racist crap.. give me time I suppose... but not YET!!
