This was not his typical campaign speech. It was much more relaxed and he gave a lot of time for question and answers. The first question was at 26:40 in the video and it was about the Ron Paul write-in campaign.
He made it clear that he has not signed anything to become an official write-in candidate. There has been some assumptions and confusions on this matter on this site. So, it was good for him to set the record straight. He does not encourage or discourage it....you can listen to the rest yourself!
...but it's not necessarily an END."
He went on to correctly say that it's the underlying PHILOSOPHY which is important.
I think sometimes we get too hung up on politics when really it's the underlying philosophy of the people who put their representatives in power.
He also said that he will keep on speaking about how to change the way the populace thinks.
But the American populace is so mis-educated, mis-informed, ignorant and mis-understanding of the proper role of government, that true libertarian change will probably never happen in our lifetimes.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
The people can have any philosophy that you like, and it won't make a damn bit of difference -- because this is a Criminally designed, Corporate Controlled, Country -- where if you do not possess big, big, big MONEY ..... then you have no voice.
You have to take the Money out of Politics first, otherwise nothing will ever change.
As long as our Elections are controlled by Wall-Street (Banksters) money, this Country (quite predictably) is doomed.
Can anyone sends me an email and post here the outline of this speech in English please? The audio is low quality and hard to understand. Thanks!

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul
Dr.Paul is always a breath of fresh air. If only we had more in D.C. like him!
I remember during the Campaign when Carol Paul introduced Ron at the Nevada Convention 5/5/12. She closed by saying "Ron is so afraid something will happen".
Ron Paul has the ability and probably access to some information that is pointing to an upcoming event happening. Of course, just staying abreast of everything going on in the world makes it easy to see that something will "break" sooner or later.
But, I firmly believe that Ron Paul's crystal ball is accurate. What it will be, or what will trigger the event or events in the US or the world, will have to been seen. Ron may know, but more than likely it would be unwise to say something that may have somebody after him for saying it.
Buckle up folks, the roller coaster ride is under way!
Always great to hear Ron Paul speak! I sure miss all the campaign speeches and the energy that was going on at the time. Just think what our country would be like if all politicians spoke the truth like Ron Paul.
thanks for posting it.
What a refreshing thing, hearing a politician tell the truth. I can hardly stomach hearing of the others.

in how he brought up the second amendment in response to the first amendment statement?
He may be a very peaceful person but.... I think he's fully aware and keen on exercising ALL of our rights.

would you rather vote for the Emperor or Darth Vader? NEITHER
positive speeches; please consider changing your headline -- it does not reflect the major theme of the speech but only focuses on one detail. This is a speech for the future of Liberty, a classic and much happier than I've seen RP in a long while. His answer on which Prez candidate would be best for the country is candid and delightful, approx. minute 33.
sorry, but I cannot do it as after the video is embedded to the Front Page I cannot anymore edit anything on my original post. Embedding of the video makes editing of the post impossible for the user, only the mods can edit posts after embedding of the video.
"Air is the very substance of our freedom, the substance of superhuman joy....aerial joy is freedom."--Gaston Bachelard--
Touching moment when Ron Paul says that even if the times have to turn that way, he believes that the Liberty movement he built up in the people will nonetheless be capable to turn bad things into good ones thanks to our knowledge recovered in freedoms.

Let's look forward to it.
"Bipartisan: both parties acting in concert to put both of their hands in your pocket."-Rothbard
You can see it. With the convention behind him, he feels no allegiance to the Republican party.
When asked whether Romney would be better than Obama, he feels no need to equivocate: "Not necessarily, no." The audience erupts in applause, and Dr. Paul beams with an ear-to-ear smile. Liberation.
Tom Woods spoke of how--when Rudy Giuliani challenged Dr. Paul to "take back" his remarks about U.S. foreign policy--Dr. Paul heroically amplified those remarks and explained the concept of blowback to the world.
Here again, rather than just letting it be, Dr. Paul amplifies his answer, explaining how in some ways Romney might be even worse than Obama, and then he moves on to educate the audience about the principle of non-intervention.
He is liberated -- and loving it.
I agree with you, and we should all feel liberated too!!
that Obama is worse than Romney...
Like ROMNEYcare, higher taxes, more regulation, gun bans, war mongering, pro-abortion, oh wait thats Romney, I mean Obama, I mean Romney, errrr
Abortion is not a good thing, but remember, the VAST majority of preggos are overjoyed at their pregnancy!
But you have to protect the rights of those one or two pathological cases - where some teenage girl has been getting raped by her mama's drunken boyfriend since she started to grow tits - so you're going to heap more abuse on her by summarily condemning her to 20 years' hard labor? For what? The sin of gettingn raped?
Freedom of Choice is essentially the foundation of Freedom itself! "Oh, she should have known better!" you say? Well, what about a 13- or 14-year old girl that's getting raped by her motner's drunken boyfriend?
No, people need to retain the Right to Freedom of Choice, or we're just going to turn into another damnable theocracy.
And I can't understand the theocrats' posisiton anyway - it says rignt in Genesis 2:7 that when God breathed the Breath of Life into Adam's nostrils, that's when he became a living being.
In other words, the line is drawn at breath. When the fetus is expelled, then when it takes its breath, it's a separate being. If you're going to bible-thump as an excuse to enslave women, then you should at least thump the whole thing!
If a woman's body AND ITS CONTENTS aren't her own property, then, will one of you zealots please tell me exactly whose property she is?
Freedom is my Worship Word!
The growing fetus in the womb is biological life. The mother provides all nourishment. When the fetus leaves the womb,God provides the breath of life (soul life) and the fetus becomes a person. I had my last child when I was 44. In New York State at that time I could have had an abortion and was offered one by the doctor I was working for. My daughter now calls me everyday just to check to see that I'm okay. She's 41.
We are in another war for our Independence.
The beginning of human life is not a truth that evades human reason, and we do not need supernatural "faith" to know when life begins either. Here is the latest in embryological research. Please educate yourselves, as this is no trivial matter:
"To live without a steady struggle for the Truth, that is not living but merely existing" -Piere Giorgio Frassatti
Romney supports spending other people's tax dollars on abortion. To me, that is Pro-abortion.
Honestly I don't really have an opinion on the topic, and I can see your point of Gen 2:7. But I'm sure the other side can quote many other things.
I get the feeling from your post that you have never read The Revolution, specifically the part where the Doc talks about being forced to do an abortion in med school. In his words, they cut the baby out, put it in a bucket in the corner of the room, and everyone ignored its screams until it stopped. Meanwhile, in the next room, there was a premature delivery, and the child was about the same size as the one they had just aborted, and dozens of doctors were doing everything in their power to save that baby's life.
If life doesn't start until breath, as you state, then why is a person who kills a pregnant mother charged with a double homicide? Why is the doctor charged with manslaughter if the fetus dies because of his incompetence?
The consensus is that life begins at conception. A majority believe they have "given life" when pregnancy begins. No human being can produce life. Only God gives life and gives life to the format soul at birth.
I've never heard this explanation before. Can you explain it a little bit more, specifically the "format soul" part? I'd appreciate it, thanks.
I'm a bit late. For some reason I became an unperson and was not able to log-in. The fetus in the womb grows in the placenta. It receives all nourishment from the prospective mother. This is biological life. The home for the immortal soul which is imparted by God at birth derives from the genes of the mother and the father and developes as biological life in the cranial area of the fetus. This is the format soul. The real person is in the soul. At death, the immortal soul is removed from the body and as we have all seen, the body is a shell.
November 6th 2012 I voted for Dr.Ron Paul
"We must remember, elections are short-term efforts. Revolutions are long-term projects." ~ Ron Paul
I'm glad you think abortion isn't a good thing, but with the freedom of choice comes the knowledge that abortion isn't the only choice, and it certainly is most likely not the best choice. Do unborn not have the same rights to live as others? Check your conscience, doesn't it seem more of a tragedy when a pregnant woman is murdered? Why would we have that emotional reaction if we didn't intrinsically think there was more than parasitic tissue inside of her?
The bible is about taking God's perspective, not man's. If we are "knitted in the womb" as David days in Psalms, than God has still created us, and we have no right to destroy what God has made.
The Breath of Life is the imago dei, that which separates us from the rest of creation. He did not breathe the breath of life into any other being.
I'm afraid that your argument MAY be a reductionism. Pray/think about it, but I would shy away from using that argument. But thank you for it! I hadn't considered that before.
