US Presidential Candidate Jill Stein Arrested at Debate Site

[RT]: Police arrested Green Party Presidential candidate Jill Stein and her running mate, Cheri Honkala, after they tried to enter the site of tonight’s presidential debate at the Hofstra University.

The two were protesting against the exclusion of all but the two major political parties from taking part in the debate.

“Jill Stein, Cheri Honkala arrested, call tonight's #debate a "mockumentary",

said a tweet posted on her account.

The presidential candidate and her vice-presidential nominee were arrested by local police when they tried to enter the grounds of Hofstra University, in Hempstead, New York, Stein's campaign website says. The women are currently still in police custody.

A video posted on YouTube shows police officers ushering Stein and Honkala away after they apparently tried to stage a sit-in.

She Just Described Her Experience At The Debate With GJ

She was handcuffed in tight restraints, kidnapped, taken to a secret location, and handcuffed to a metal chair for eight hours.

Holy crap!

"Bipartisan: both parties acting in concert to put both of their hands in your pocket."-Rothbard

She was at the debate last night

She even got to answer the same questions along with two other alternative party candidates, See video below

Jill Stein supports Gary Johnson

All third party candidates have been shafted and Jill Stein demonstrated some real 1960's style hippie moxie by storming the rigged debates. She supported Gary Johnson (who is actually polling 6% nationally) by standing up for all third party candidates who got the short end of the stick. Gary Johnson needs donations and a new site where monies will go directly to advertising and getting the voice of liberty into the media is:

I would encouage all third party supporters to visit there and do what you can.

court ruling

Does anyone know what the ruling (if any) was on letting other candidate in the debates. Obviously they haven't been in the debates so far, but did the judge ever rule on this?

I'm voting for her!!!

They've taken away our freedom. They've rescinded our Bill of Rights. We've got to fight back, and this lady is doing precisely that. I don't see any other presidential candidate willing to get arrested and spend the night handcuffed to a chair. I'm voting for her!!!

you know people on here are gonna break you b@llz on this comment....

her politics aside, she is

her politics aside, she is more of a man than i am. I mean she was very noble in what she did. i'll set aside my politics and give her all the respect i have left.

Frankly, my dear,

I don't give a damn.

after hearing her opinions

All i can say is: no matter how wrong she is, at least she is sincere

this is excellent, you should give it it's own post.

Gary talks more in sound bytes where Jill is more conversational. They did a good job of pointing out their differences as well as where they agree.

Goin' against the Paul-grain just a bit...

I agree with most here that she should have had a voice in the debates. However, she blocked a public road...you just can't do that.

Now, if Stein would have been arrested while trying to get in (with all credentials, just like Nader had in 2000) to the event, this would be an enitrely different story.

And playing devil's advocate once more: the cops could have picked both of those women up and escorted them to the sidewalk without incident or arrest.

Lima-1, out.

Ron Paul / Gary Johnson for POTUS 2012!
Gov. Ventura for Veep!
Judge Napa for AG!

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

Greens are far better than

Greens are far better than the Democraps that's for sure. Agree with them or not they are more ideologically sound than your average liberal. Also, there is more overlap with liberty minded people as far as foreign policy, civil liberties, and I believe the payroll tax are concerned.

I don't like her

or her policies but the exclusion of other candidates makes this debate fake and gives us reason not to comply with executive orders of a non elected president. real election or no compliance.

I feel your pain, but the

I feel your pain, but the fact is - they can invite or not invite whomever they wish. Just like you're free to hold a presidential debate in your garage inviting only those you wish to invite. It's the sheeple who watch and "discuss" these circus shows that give them the appearance of being "official." But the truth is there is no such thing as an official debate. Want things to change? Organize a TV-buyback or something.

and that is why they have organized another debate which will be on Oct. 23rd.

this will likely land Stein a felony due to those new anti protest laws obama and the congress signed during the Occupy protests. Unless I am mistaken having a felony automatically disqualifies her from being a presidential candidate.

How much do you want to bet this is a power play by not reps but dems to keep Jill from running again in the future. Green party is more competition for "progressives" then conservatives. No doubt the facist Repubs are happy about this as well.

FYI its time to take the word "liberal" back from the socialists authoritarians that hijacked it.

I'm not sure Obama can cast a

I'm not sure Obama can cast a felony charge in some else's direction. His fraud and deceits over his birth certificate and Social security card is reason enough to land in jail on a felonious charge. What is the matter with everybody? The system is not going to shatter on the conviction of Barrack Obama.

i didnt say obama

himself would make the charge, but via the anti protest law I think she can get charged federally. And has past crimes ever stopped these crooks from committing new crimes and grievances?

It seems to me that an

It seems to me that an anti-protest law is the oldest of tyranny tactics. The fact that Obama is associated with it at all does not bode well for anyone in Congress who allows this to happen. Whether Obama or his minions in charge arrested the presidential candidate in the first place only reflects on the evil that has America in a stranglehold. How much more blatant does it have to get before people get it or at least before real journalists report it.

In other news...

Russia moves to prosecute anti-Putin protest leader

But we have a valid government because WE get to pick from two, while THEY only get to pick from one!

How do people not see the cognitive dissonance?

Was that the new executive order

that can make such a protest a criminal act since it was within the distance from the president and other elite government workers? Sure, they wont make a noise by prosecuting Stein, but they do reserve that power for less known people, like us.

Despite her policies..

I appreciate the gesture. Drawing attention to the fact that the debates are a sham is a good thing.

Wouldn't it be more the

Wouldn't it be more the libertarian perspective that they can invite or not invite whoever they darn well please? It's the people tuning in and refering to them as "the" debates that give them their power. It's our burden to redirect their eyes elsewhere, not beg the powers that be to include us in their game.

In a free market yes, but very difficult in a counterfeit one

The counterfeiters buy control of everything. Pretty much all we can do is protest, oppose, educate and try to overthrow them.

Why couldn't some group buy

Why couldn't some group buy control of everything in a free market and do the same thing?

It would be much more difficult due to competition

And one group, like the counterfeiters would not be able to own everything, to not only gain a monopoly, but also maintain it with propaganda through the government and media.

The only way to buy up everything is with counterfeit money.

They should have arrested the

They should have arrested the other two...

Welcome to Amerika 2012.

Welcome to Amerika 2012. Remember the Soviet Union had "elections" and had more than one candidate on the ballot. Of course they would all do the same thing if elected, but that was "choice". Or do I have the USSR confused with the USSRA?
