Gary Johnson urges voters to support candidate ‘we believe in’

The campaign for Gary Johnson, a Libertarian presidential candidate, touts his agenda for the U.S. as putting a stop to frivolous spending, ending wars and rebuilding America.

The former two-term New Mexico governor stood before a crowd Thursday night at the University of Wyoming wearing a T-shirt with a peace symbol on the front and surrounded by signs describing him as “the people’s president.”

He elaborated on each of those platforms — spending, defense, the country’s future and other ideas — during his appearance.

Johnson said he will appear on the Nov. 6 general election ballot in 48 states and as a write-in candidate in one state.

Johnson sought to dispel notions that a vote for a third-party candidate is a vote somehow wasted.
