Wead: Romney still battling RP in NJ

The battle for the soul of the Republican Party is still ongoing. If you doubt that, take a look at the Romney henchman in New Jersey, who is even now, doing everything within his power to resist the involvement of grass roots Ron Paul people. What you saw in Tampa, where Ron Paul delegates, mostly young and war veterans and Hispanics were unseated, continues in other ways, unabated in state after state, county after county.

This sounds like a Doug Wead endorsement of Gary Johnson

The last paragraph of this article has this juicy little morsel:

"The contest did not end in Tampa. The war for the soul of America goes on. And the more that the Romney GOP establishment defrauds us, behind the curtain, pulling the levers of power, then the more likely we will be to pull the lever for Gary Johnson, behind the curtain of our voting booth this November."

At least Doug gives a "sorta"

So Wead makes 10 now!

Synchronicity in the number 10

Interesting. The number 10 is also the number states that will allow a Ron Paul write in. Too bad most of them won't differentiate the Ron Paul write ins from the Mickey Mouse write ins.

Let's examine one of those states and take a look at Washington:

Take a look at the list of 2012 President / Vice President Write-In Candidates in Washington. Ron Paul's name is not on the list.

You will notice that "Votes for an individual write-in candidate will not be tallied by name unless the total number of write-in votes cast exceeds the votes cast for the top vote getter."

Ron Paul's write-in votes will be lumped in with votes for Mickey Mouse and all the other write-in candidates. You will never get to know how many votes Ron Paul gets in Washington.

How about some unity with the 40 states that will not even allow a Ron Paul write-in?

Mickey Mouse write ins. = Gary Johnson votes

I dig!!

And We

Are still supposed to buy the "Lets work within the Republican Party" line? We need to find a 3rd party and build it up. I don't care what anyone says, a 3rd party starts polling at 20% there is no way they can keep them out of debates...

Which 3rd party are you in

Which 3rd party are you in, and how much progress have you made?

Know yourself, Know your enemy

"It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle."

- Sun Tzu

It's well and good to work from within a third party, I believe that a person should express themselves through any part that they choose, so long as they're politically active, but it's still important to do what we can from within the GOP.

The GOP is an already existing platform, one which is very powerful, and at one time quite literally owned the Whitehorse. There are indeed many individuals within the GOP who completely disagree with us, and will do whatever they can to disenfranchise us, but there are many more who have the will and desire to listen. It is because these people have been so inactive that the ones who oppose have risen to power, and have been able to trample on us. However, with this effort, and the effort we made election last, and with all of our future efforts, we further unseat those neoCons who have been allowed to rest on their asses in the power structure of the GOP for all of these decades. All we need to do is to show our like-minded peers in the GOP voting block that the neoCons are not the voice of the people, or the Republican party, and soon they will realize that they have their own voice, and they will speak with it, and those dirty neoCons will eventually be unseated all together.

Ron Paul 2016

Except for those of us who took loyalty oaths

And honestly, GJ doesn't cut it for me.. It's not about the guy, it's the message and GJ is not Ron Paul.. I'm not going to let Romney run me out of the GOP.

It is written:

"You can not serve two masters".
Don't mean to attack you, every time you mention that loyalty oath that line comes to mind.
Hence the moral hazard I perceive in taking that path.
To thine own self be true may be true may be more appropriate.
Considering that we are being assaulted on every imaginable front (and then some) just because I do not agree with the tactic does not make it 'wrong', every possible angle must be tried.

I only have to look at the "Hillary Welcomes Global Gun Ban" ad to know my efforts were worthwhile.

We all have Our different roles to play and must do what feels right to ourselves.

The only "master" I serve is God.

The loyalty oath is to myself

I took it and I'm going to stick with it, though it does not suit me, that is unfortunate, but no reason to give up the fight to restore the rublic. I expect a few losses, but that has not brought me into apathy.

No, you are talking about a

No, you are talking about a pledge or loyalty oath you were forced to sign in order to keep your station in the GOP. Don't be so transparent.

And it is unfortunate that Romney stole the nomination, but that is not going to stop me from being loyal to myself, despite Romney. I want Romney over Obama.. we can practice holding Romney to the constitution.. why wait for Rand to debate about it in 2016.. hold Romney to the constitution oath he took now? We owe him that.

Prepare yourself for a

Prepare yourself for a "terrible shock": http://www.270towin.com/

The likelihood of a Romney win is becoming smaller by the day. I'm telling you here and now (as I've been saying for some time) that Obama will unfortunately win another term. Romney will lose by a landslide... and Obama's win will be very bad for America, yet no worse than a Romney win.

All Romney needs are

22 electoral votes more than Obama, who isn't going to have a big turn out.

I don't favor either of these

I don't favor either of these fellows, so I rely on the hard data of others.

There is still one thing that confuses me

about how the RP campaign staff handled NJ. We asked for help many times. They sent us nothing. Some were very upset about that. I understood it, though. We all, the RP campaign and the very active NJ grassroots campaign, knew there was no way Dr. Paul would be allowed to win the NJ Primary. But, we worked our butts off trying to wake up the sheeple in this state, nevertheless.

At the time, I thought the campaign was being careful in not "wasting" the money on a losing battle in NJ. After reading Wead's latest blog here, I have changed my opinion on that. Despite what the bogus primary results in NJ showed, Ron Paul has a great deal of support from the NJ voters, including the Indies and Dems. If the campaign already knew about the bs going on and that the game was over, then why didn't they help us wake up even more people here to promote the ideals of individual liberty, the Constitution, free markets, sound money, non-intervention, etc., etc., that led us to this movement in the first place? Isn't the message the important thing and not the person?

I'm not in NJ, so I don't know

What I think, is when you are GOP, on a committee, involved with local GOP events, you have all the grassroots tools you need.. signs, stickers, opportunity to do the same things folks do at Meetups, but it's party and so I think, it seems to me, that those in the GOP had connections, and they distributed what they could, but none got too close.. it's like the GOP insider club.. and I hear those outside scream sham and fraud, but a campaign does have to protect its self, and Ron Paul seems to have done this with you're are in the GOP, or you're doing what you want.. good luck with that. The folks I worked with here that were connected to the campaign were also connected to the GOP in having seats, etc.

I joined the GOP, I got a committee seat, I was hooked up. In 07/08.. I was not GOP, I worked like a SOB, went to 5 Meetups, the things I did for Ron Paul.. but I was not hooked up. So, my only regret is not having joined the GOP in 07.

Hi Granger! NJ is a different situation.

The GOP machine, led by Chris Christie right now, backed Willard. The little people active within the GOP here backed anybody EXCEPT Ron Paul. But, what they wanted doesn't matter, since the machine wanted Willard and made sure we got Willard shoved down our throats. (FYI, the Democrat Party machine in NJ is much stronger and even worse than the GOP machine.)

The ONLY campaign Ron Paul had in this entire (small, but heavily populated) State was US... we the people.. and we were organized and centrally located and we came out from all over the State, young and old, to fight the good fight together!

We the people asked the official RP campaign people for additional campaign material (we purchased everything from them) to distribute throughout the State, just as they had done, without charge, in other States. We got NOTHING. Thankfully, some of the grassroots people here at DP read my plea for help and donated left over campaign material to us, since their primaries/caucuses were done, or donated some money to our ChipIn. Others of us on other RP websites did the same to help us educate the public about Ron Paul.

While we were not able to reach everyone, we reached very many Fauxnews viewing people and now, because of us, they know who Ron Paul is and what he (and we) stand for! Many of them now agree with us. We also woke up the overwhelming number of indies and dems and they became active with us, more so than the Fauxnews GOP people. WE got the message out there and Freedom has become popular again in NJ.

Imagine what we could have achieved if we had gotten the help we repeatedly requested! People, from ALL political parties, along with the non-affiliated, would have woken up and many would have begun to get active and run for seats and offices in NJ. But, you can't put the cart in front of the horse. We had to wake people up first. That is not easy in NJ... where people still check under their beds at night since 9/11, as we breathe the tainted air from NYC and hear endless commentaries from Hannity and the rest of the bought and paid for puppets.

You know I wish you well in CA, where, hopefully, things are not caught in a machine with such a tight stranglehold for many generations, and that firm grip isn't tightened further by 9/11. We must work together, each according to the situation and needs of the areas. However long it takes, we are winning and that scares the stuffing out of the machine.

My thoughts

You have a power elite there..maybe it's Christy, probabaly, so what he says goes.. it's part of the crime machine and why Ron Paul would not come close to it. It's going to be up to the message becomming very popular and for your area to change with the peer pressure of being up to date..

Yes, basically, that is and was my point.

If the official RP campaign knew it was over and, of course they knew they wouldn't be allowed to win this State, then why would they not send us the free campaing materials they sent to other States, since we were the only ones doing the "campaigning to educate the people" in New Jersey?

After reading Doug's blog, I got a very mixed message about the message.

BTW, it isn't Christie who pulls the strings. His strings are pulled by the same puppet masters as all previous Governors and Presidents. Christie is just the front man in NJ.

I would think

It's because they didn't want to start more problems then they knew they were in for.. they probably talked about guys like Christy and didn't have anyone they knew who was in the GOP and sympathetic. I think some places are more corrupt than others.. they avoided those places. That's what I think.

You may be correct but, that doesn't answer the question of why

they wouldn't send us the campaign materials to use here. We were here and on the front lines. They didn't have to show up here, if your assumption is correct, and I believe it is. But I cannot justify their deafness to our repeated cries for help in getting Ron Paul's message out to the people of New Jersey. We were and continue to be the messengers of Liberty and Freedom. We needed their help. We begged for their help and they turned their backs on us. They didn't have to be physically present. Just send us what they sent everyone else. That's what I cannot reconcile.

All I keep thinking

It was a huge difference in 08 when I was crying for campaign help and went way out of my way.. San Fran, Reno to get it. Where by joining the GOP, taking a committee seat.. seemed to make all the difference, despite the rebukes from my own committee.

In a strange way, you've answered my question.

Well, sort of, anyway. You know I applaud everything you've done and continue to do in California for our cause, Ron Paul's advice would probably work well where you are and in several other States to achieve our goal within a generation or much less.

We are light years away from that goal in NJ. If we had received the help we requested from the campaign, we may have been able to just begin to reach that goal within, say, 3 to 5 generations.

I guess they deemed the message to be irrelevent in NJ, despite the tremendous population here. That's a real shame, too, because it would have helped in getting more of our people on local and state ballots and furthered the our cause.

What that measn to me

You have no one in your area. I was fortunate because I had Republicans who were for Ron Paul nearby, some since 07/08 that had advanced within the GOP.

I would think there was no one from your area that is seated or has any elected possition. It seems to me there are several areas on the east coast, NY, MD that will have to continue a grassroots movement until someone is seated, somehow.

Ron Paul Campaign may have....

Fleeced us, my friend. I/We need to remember that Ron Paul himself, is just a man. Mistakes will be made. And they were. Ron Paul said himself that he wasn't in this presidential campaign to win but to change the coarse of history. He did. Despite breaking the hearts of some fans he did what he said he would do.

Trust no man .... Just God.

Amen Doug!

But where was this fury 4 months ago?
