Frank Luntz talks about Ron Paul supporters

Frank Luntz says that Ron Paul should be in the debate, but he's not too happy with some of us. In my opinion, not much is resolved by sending him nasty and threatening e-mails. I don't think that is effective.

Here's the video....

Limbaugh called Luntz a "hottie" on the air....

Expose the neocon traitors! Limbaugh is terrified of Dr Paul!

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs.

You have GOT to be kidding me...

Frank Luntz is a pathological liar and manipulator. This is not some academic exercise. It's sociopathic like Nixon's manipulation. It's true mental illness.

This little speech of his was a clear "compliment and attack" tactic used to gain listening confidence that he was not being a FOX shill - which he is.

Frank Luntz is a cancer on the body politic for teaching manipulative lying to the political class. Snowballs should be a minor inconvenience considering he aids the Bushies in duping the American people into wars that are killing people - god knows how many!

He cares about no one and nothing except his own pocketbook. He represents the worst of the culture war's excesses.

I would not be surprised - I'm serious - that he is so self destructive that he may actually vote for Ron Paul. I say "F- you Frank"

But it is better to never get in an argument with a man with a TV and a microphone because he usually wins - I say ignore the jerk.

Wake up. I hate to admit it

Wake up. I hate to admit it but he is correct in his assesment. (Note: you can skip pretty much the first 2/3).

we can send him emails

We can protest but be honest. leave emotion and name calling out. Tell him what you think, why you think it than say good bye. this name calling is childish and NON PRODCTIVE

E-mails to Frank Luntz are non-productive

Frank Luntz does not care what we think, do, or say. He is all about propaganda. Many of us who love liberty, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights are deeply angered by what is happening to our country. It is no wonder that we express anger when individuals in the media like Frank Luntz use propaganda techniques to deceive the masses. Mr. Luntz wants viewers to believe that he employs scientific techniques in his focus groups. There is nothing scientific about his methods. It angers many of us to see our friends and neighbors sucked into the manipulative methods Mr. Luntz passes off as "science."

It appears the incident with Sean Hannity, which Mr. Luntz condemns, was nothing more than a set-up by Fox News. To keep the incident in context, remember that Fox News had just excluded Ron Paul from the New Hampshire debate. This decision by Fox News had angered Ron Paul supporters everywhere and even people who weren't Ron Paul supporters. Enter Sean Hannity. In many people's minds, Sean Hannity is a symbol of Fox News. Given this context, why do you think Sean Hannity chose to walk directly in front of the Ron Paul supporters on his way into the hotel? Wasn't there another entrance to the hotel? Was this a way that Fox News could discredit Ron Paul supporters? Perhaps Fran Luntz is a bit disingenuous in his comments. (God forbid, I think I used the word phony to describe Mr. Luntz in my prevous post)

Luntz is a Phony

He is nothing but a flim-flam man. Even his hair is fake. It's sad so many people are duped by him.

I saw this silly guy the

I saw this silly guy the other day with a bunch of would be actors degrading Dr. Ron Paul. Let him go educate himself before he gives any kind of advice to RP supporters. Journalism comes with responsibility. He is not up to the job. Never blame people reacting to what FIX NEWS is doing. They have to know how RP supporters feel about them.

Wow

Wow

I may hate Luntz but...

He is right. Seriously, I wrote an article legitimately criticizing his focus groups and polling tactics, but I didn't curse him out.

That will get us nowhere.

I agree with this point: Let RON PAUL be heard.

More proof: the night of the NH primary, CNN's Anderson Cooper was surrounded by a bunch of RP supporters.
Did he mention Paul's issues? NO. He basically called the supporters a bunch of crazy people supporting a guy who will never be elected.

I believe that THAT was the message swing voters heard.

That is very bad.

I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat pork!

I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat meat!

Martin Luther King Jr.

Had some aggressive civil disobedience within his support, but I don't see anybody bashing him! This is just a tactic to label Ron Paul as having "violent supporters". Just listen to what he said a minute before that; negative implications impact the way people perceive a candidate.

Go and google "outfoxed" before giving Luntz any sort of credible thought.

Yep

I have been wondering the same thing. That Ron Paul supporters actually turn off voters.

Is it logical to be turned off by supporters instead of looking at the candidate and judging them by their own actions and beliefs? No, that's not logical but people aren't logical and their illogical vote still counts.

They only turn off voters

They only turn off voters when people talk about it like this in a public forum without rebuttal.

This weekend, our family attended a peacful Ron Paul sign waiving. We were physically and verbally threatened, completely unprovoked, by a supporter of another candidate. As long as a major media outlet doesn't repeat this kind of news, no one cares.

It's about the propaganda.

Agreed!

I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat pork!

I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat meat!

Right

It's natural instinct to associate a person with the behavior of his followers.

So everyone jumps on Frank when he talks bad about Dr. Paul

but you don't have a problem with him disrespecting the movement?
How is it any different?

It has been the OMs tactic all along to try to attack Ron Paul because of who supports him.

There are millions of docile ron paul supporters, but they don't make the news.

I can't believe how many of you are agreeing with Luntz. it's just another attack, albeit with a bit more savvy.

How can such intelligent supporters be...

...totally "Outfoxed?"
Excluded from the debate, Hannity taking a LONG stroll to the studio, Luntz "stacking" the focus groups....it's all BAIT! Collectively the supporters of Dr. Paul have just chomped right at it and now the whole movement is caught on the line, wriggling on the hook and they are putting the net under us. People are acting like Fox is an actual News outlet instead of tabloid television. Take an hour or so to relax, have a beverage and watch: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6737097743434902428

Then check your e-mail address book, your Christmas card list and any other organized group of names you have on hand to try your best as an individual to persuade people to actually vote for our candidate. Many of us have been distracted protesting a media machine that's likely enjoying itself as they manipulate us, ask degrading questions of Dr. Paul, and poison the airwaves with propaganda when we should be concentrating our energy in recruiting votes for the only poll that matters.

JJ

Give the devil his due.

Give the devil his due. He's right.

Whether you like frank or not

listen to his message, because he is right about turning off potential supporters.

gigione

Yeah, what good does it do

What good does it do to swear and yell at these morons. We need to be a reflection of not only the principals of personal liberty AND responsibility but also of Ron Paul, a gentle and humble man. We only give them reason to categorize all RP supporters as kooks or weirdos. But then again, just like in the battle of Seattle, they are smart enough to plant saboteurs in order to discredit the movement. At the same time, lets reach out to all of our young and overzealous compatriots to act more maturely and restrained.

Luntz twice discredited

for using actors and plants -see the youtube videos- on two separate instances. I wrote a comment at friends@foxnews.com that they were risking their "credibility" (ha!) by using a discredited pollster. However old Frank did make a point about Ron Paul deserving to be part of the debate. But did you notice how he disrepected Dr. Paul by calling him a man, not even a congressman, or doctor, or veteran, or author, etc...He is putting his own spin on the Sean incident and we should at all times remember to act respectful as representatives of Dr. Paul while remembering who has the broadcast power (FAUX and the dinosaur media) to reach the mainstream. Because it is the mainstream we need to get on board to elect Dr. Paul.

not gonna work on me

He can say all he wants, he's just doing what he does best. manipulate people.

Kudos to Frank Luntz. Great video.

Luntz is not an enemy of Paul. He has been unfairly demonized. This started when Penn and Teller made a video taking him out of context when he was explaining how pollsters can manipulate people. He wasn't saying that he does this. He was just explaining, for our benefit, how this can be done so that we can be suspicious of pollsters. Shame on Penn and Teller for misrepresenting Luntz and causing all this vilification of him. I even saw someone here on dailypaul print out his letter to Luntz here threatening to "kick [him] in the throat." There is no doubt about it. Paul has some real loons among his supporters that ruin it for the rest of us, and for Paul himself.

Paul supporters need to take Luntz's advice. He's not a bad guy at all.

I wish the Paul campaign would hire him to analyze their commercials.

He is enemy #1

Devon who are you?

You are always the opposite / negative of the movement. Are you in the right campaign? I think Guliani might want you. www.guilianiforpresident.com / or Fox and Lutz might want to sign you up to be in the next audiance debate panel. www.fox.com

Devon is a psy op specialist for another campaing...

Every single post is a diversion.

Even inocuous ones like "bring donuts and coffee to the strikers at Jay Leno" is a way of saying RP crosses the picket line.

I told you guys over a week ago Devon was a psy op specialist.
Track Him! Every single one has a hidden and often subliminal attack.

This is a bivoac and people don't get that it's not a "public" discussion forum but a war camp. Letting the enemy post here on censurship or free speach concerns are non-sequitor , red herring and franky stupid arguments.

Apparently I'm

one of the few voices of sanity among Paul supporters. I don't allow myself to get whipped up into the mass hysteria, and fall for conspiracy theories, hoaxes, etc.

If sanity= pessimistic party pooper

then yes Devon, you are indeed the voice of sanity.

All I'm sayin'

Is that I've been in one of his focus groups and I did NOT like what I saw and experienced. Before you judge, do it yourself. It's not a conspiracy to report what one sees is it? Chris will have the tapes soon I hope.
